Teaching steps:
Step 1.Organizing the teaching

Step 2.Revision
Use vocabulary cards and play 揝pell It to review the words house 揵athroom 揵ed.
Step 3.Key concepts: room, kitchen, bathroom, living room
1.Introduce:
a. Use posters of rooms to demonstrate each word.
b. Point out the word 搑oom in bathroom, bedroom and living room.牋牋牋牋牋牋
2.Student book :
a. Play the audiotape as the students follow in their books.
b. Tell the class 搈ine 搚ours. Ask the class try to guess the meaning of these two words.
3.Practice:
a.Give the commands for the students to point to the posters of the rooms. Give commands such as: Point to the kitchen. /Point to the bathroom.
b. Use a picture-prompt drill. Hold up vocabulary cards for objects found in particular room.
T: (Hold up the card for toilet) Where does this go? It goes in the 厖.
S: 厖bathroom.
T: Very good. It goes in the bathroom. TV, couch and lamp go with kitchen. Bathtub, shower and toilet go with bathroom.
c. Divide the class into small groups. Ask each group to make up a dialogue about showing someone around a new house. 4.Students activity:
1. Sing an English song.
2. Play 揝pell It to review words they know before. Discuss the story in the student book.
3. Imitate the dialogue after the tape recorder.
4. Listen and point.
5. Picture-prompt drill.
6. Group work to practice making up a dialogue about showing someone around a new house.
