B
Have
you
felt
annoyed
when
a
cellphone
rings
during
the
class?
Something
must
be
done
to
stop
this.
Now
in
New
York
City,
USA,
a
rule
is
carried
out
in
schools.
Students
can't
even
bring
cellphones
to
school.
Is
it
a
good
thing
or
not?
Anxious
parents
say
that
cellphones
are
an
important
tool
in
holding
New
York
City's
families
together.
“I
worry
about
it,”
said
Elizabeth
Lorris
Ritter,
a
mother
of
a
middle
school
kid.
“It's
necessary
in
our
everyday
life.
We
have
a
washing
machine.
We
have
running
water,
and
we
have
cellphones.”
Many
American
parents
think
they
can
contact
their
children
on
buses,
getting
out
from
subways,
or
walking
through
unknown
places.
“I
have
her
call
me
when
she
gets
out
of
school,”
said
Lindsay
Walt,
a
schoolgirl's
mother.

No
one
in
New
York
is
going
to
let
their
child
go
to
school
without
a
cellphone.”
What
about
the
cellphone
owners,
the
students?
Most
of
the
students
say
cellphones
are
essential
and
that
they
are
like
extra
(额外的)
hands
or
feet
for
them.
“I
feel
so
empty,”
said
May
Chom,14.
“There
is
also
no
way
to
listen
to
music
on
the
way
to
school
without
my
phone.
It
will
be
a
really,
really
boring
trip.”
24.What
can
we
learn
from
the
passage?
A.
Many
American
parents
don't
think
cellphones
are
necessary
for
the
students.
B.Cellphones
only
bring
troubles
to
the
school
life.
C.Cellphones
connect
children
with
their
families
when
they
are
outside.
D.Cellphones
can
help
students
learn
better.
25.What
does
the
underlined
word
“essential”
mean?
A.Popular.
B.Necessary.
C.Smart.
D.Expensive.
26.What
may
students
do
by
using
a
cellphone
according
to
the
passage?
A.To
enjoy
listening
to
music.
B.To
make
phone
calls
to
their
teachers.
C.To
listen
to
some
up?to?date
news.
D.To
guide
themselves
to
school.
27.What
does
this
passage
mainly
talk
about?
A.The
problems
caused
by
using
cellphones.
B.Parents'
concern
over
students'
study.
C.The
debate
about
forbidding
students
to
use
phones
in
school.
D.The
importance
of
using
phones
in
school
for
children.
C
Have
you
ever
noticed
how
Americans
fill
up
their
entire
glass
with
ice
and
then
pour
their
beverage
(饮品)
in,
but
Europeans
take
their
drinks
at
room
temperature?
In
the
U.S.,
we've
created
fridges
that
give
you
cold
ice
at
the
press
of
a
button,
but
in
Britain
they
typically
serve
their
tap
water
warm.
This
tradition—if
that's
what
you
want
to
call
it—dates
back
to
the
19th
century.
During
that
time,
it
was
already
commonplace
for
most
American
homes
to
have
an
ice
box.
Ice
would
be
harvested
in
northern
America
or
Canada
and
shipped
across
the
Atlantic
and
sold
at
a
high
price
in
British
department
stores.
Can
you
imagine
heading
to
Macy's
to
treat
yourself
to
a
block
of
ice?
Putting
ice
in
your
drink
started
to
become
somewhat
of
a
fashion
trend
for
the
wealthy
in
Britain.
Some
would
put
a
few
cubes
in
their
champagne
and
sip
on
their
chilled
drinks
at
high?class
parties.
But,
like
with
any
fashion
trend,
it
eventually
faded,
mainly
because
the
ice
was
just
too
expensive.
And
even
once
ice
boxes
began
appearing
in
homes
in
Britain
as
well,
the
British
never
took
a
liking
to
ice
in
their
drinks.
So,
next
time
you
travel
overseas,
don't
feel
offended
when
your
server
gives
you
an
eye
roll
when
you
ask
for
ice
water.
28.Who
has
written
the
text?
A.A
European.
B.An
American.
C.A
Canadian.
D.An
Asian.
29.Why
do
Europeans
take
their
drinks
at
room
temperature?
A.Because
they
have
no
fridges.
B.Because
they
have
warm
taps.
C.Because
they
are
accustomed
to
it.
D.Because
they
can't
afford
ice.
30.What
can
we
infer
about
Europeans?
A.They
have
ice
boxes
later
than
Americans.
B.They
don't
know
where
to
get
ice
blocks.
C.Wealthy
people
like
to
have
ice
in
their
drinks.
D.Wealthy
people
always
follow
what
Americans
do.
31.What
does
the
text
mainly
talk
about?
A.Why
Americans
like
icy
drinks
while
Europeans
don't.
B.When
people
overseas
have
icy
drinks
with
their
meals.
C.Where
people
can
entertain
themselves
with
icy
drinks.
D.How
Europeans
and
Americans
make
different
beverage.
D
Herman
Melvile,
the
writer
of
the
famous
whale
story
Moby
Dick,
once
wrote
that
humpback
whales
were
“the
most
light?hearted
of
all
the
whales.”Known
to
be
intelligent
animals
and
can
be
seen
working
together
to
hunt
schools
of
small
fish,
humpbacks
are
a
favourite
of
whale
watchers
everywhere.
And,
if
you
listen
closely,
you
might
even
hear
one
singing.
Marine
(海洋的)
biologist
Jim
Darling
has
studied
the
songs
of
humpback
whales
for
more
than
25
years.
While
recording
whale
songs
on
a
boat
near
Hawaii,
he
invited
author
Douglas
Chadwick
to
experience
diving
with
a
humpback.
In
the
water,
Chadwick
heard
the
whale's
songs
in
a
way
he
never
heard
them
before.
“Suddenly,
I
no
longer
heard
the
whale's
voice
in
my
ears,”he
said.“I
felt
it
inside
my
head
and
bones.”
When
swimming
with
the
whale,
Chadwick
could
see
that
the
whale
was
aware
of
him,
but
not
alarmed
by
his
presence.
Up
in
the
boat,
Darling
recorded
the
whale's
song,
which
can
be
long
and
complex,
sometimes
lasting
for
30
minutes
or
more.
Actually,
they
are
perhaps
the
longest
songs
sung
by
any
animal.
Darling
says
that
only
male
humpbacks
sing,
but
for
unknown
reasons,
it
was
previously
thought
that
they
sang
to
attract
females,
but
scientists
showed
this
was
incorrect
when
they
played
recordings
of
whale
songs
in
the
ocean
and
the
female
whales
did
not
respond.
Another
idea
is
that
male
humpbacks
compete
with
each
other
using
songs,
just
as
other
male
animals
on
land
do
using
their
horns
or
sharp
teeth.
Researchers
have
also
found
that
humpback
whale
songs
are
different
in
different
parts
of
the
world,
perhaps
like
whale
national
songs.
They
may
also
be
like
hit
tunes
on
the
radio,
changing
over
time—from
one
year
to
the
next,
or
even
over
a
single
breeding
season
when
they
produce
young.
Another
member
of
the
research
team,
photographer
Flip
Nicklin,
recalls
a
special
moment
he
had
while
interacting
with
a
humpback.
While
he
was
snorkelling
(潜水)
some
distance
from
the
huge
animal,
it
approached
him
until
it
was
just
a
few
metres
away.
It
then
gently
carried
Nicklin
towards
its
eye
with
a
flipper
(鳍肢)
,
as
if
examine
him.
Obviously,
the
urge
to
understand
a
different
species
goes
both
ways.
32.What
is
this
passage
mainly
about?
A.How
to
record
the
humpbacks
in
the
ocean.
B.How
humpbacks
communicate
with
people.
C.Humpback
whale
songs
and
what
they
might
mean.
D.The
career
of
a
man
who
is
interested
in
humpbacks.
33.When
the
scientists
played
songs
in
the
ocean,
________.
A.the
songs
attracted
fish
B.no
female
whales
came
C.male
whales
became
angry
D.male
and
female
whales
came
together
34.What
is
NOT
true
about
humpback
whales?
A.Their
songs
are
short
and
simple.
B.Only
male
humpback
whales
sing.
C.Humpback
whales
are
very
friendly.
D.They
are
popular
with
whale
watchers.
35.What
do
Chadwick
and
Nicklin
have
in
common?
A.They
were
afraid
of
whales.
B.They
swam
with
the
whales.
C.Their
jobs
are
to
take
photos
of
the
whales.
D.They
are

biologists
studying
whales.

阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。
My
father
left
for
our
native
place
on
Thursday.
In
fact,
he
had
never
traveled
by
__41__
before,
so
I
just
took
this
opportunity
to
let
him
experience
his
first
flight.
In
spite
of
being
asked
to
book
a
ticket
by
train,
I
got
him
a
ticket
on
Jet
Airways.
The
moment
I
__42__
over
the
ticket
to
him,
he
was
surprised.
The
__43__
was
very
apparent
on
his
face
as
we
waited
for
the
time
of
the
travel.
Just
like
a
schoolboy,
he
was
__44__
himself
on
that
day,
using
the
trolley
(手推车)
for
his
luggage
and
asking
for
a
window
seat.
He
was
__45__
enjoying
himself
and
I,
too,
watching
him
experience
all
these
things
with
joy.
As
he
was
about
to
go
in
for
the
security
check?in,
he
walked
up
to
me
with
tears
in
his
eyes
and
__46__
me.
He
became
very
__47__
for
what
I
had
done
meant
a
great
deal
to
him.
I
told
him
there
was
no
need
to
thank
me.
Later,
I
looked
back
on
my
life.
As
a
child,
how
many
__48__
had
our
parents
made
come
true?
Without
__49__
the
financial
situation,
we
asked
for
dresses,
toys,
outings,
etc.
They
tried
to
meet
all
our
needs.
Did
we
ever
say
thanks
for
all
they
had
done
for
us?
Today
when
it
comes
to
our
__50__,
we
always
think
we
should
give
them
the
best.
But
we
tend
to
forget
that
our
parents
have
sacrificed
a
lot
to
see
us
happy,
so
it
is
our
__51__
to
make
sure
their
dreams
are
realized.
Old
age
is
like
a
second
childhood
and
just
as
we
take
care
of
our
children,
the
same
__52__
needs
to
be
given
to
our
parents.
I
want
to
say
sorry
for
making
my
father
__53__
so
long
for
this
small
dream
to
be
realized.
Just
the
fact
that
they
are
old
does
not
mean
that
they
will
have
to
__54__
everything
and
keep
sacrificing.
They
have
__55__,
too.
Take
care
of
your
parents.
They
are
precious.

第二节 读后续写(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Last
weekend,
I
went
to
Mark's
new
house
near
a
forest
for
a
little
get?together.
After
lunch
when
I
was
chatting
with
him
and
his
wife
Cody,
he
asked
me,
“Hey
Thoran,
have
you
ever
been
to
a
secret
sport?”
Before
I
could
even
finish
saying
no,
Cody
and
Mark
were
already
at
the
door
with
their
jackets
on.
And
the
next
moment
we
were
heading
out
into
the
forest
with
a
camera,
a
fishing
net
and
a
plastic
bucket(桶).
We
walked
through
the
forest
along
a
path
by
a
small
river.
Breathing
the
fresh
air,
we
three
talked
and
laughed
all
the
way.
“Hey!
What
are
you
guys
doing?”
Someone
suddenly
shouted
from
behind.
Mark
and
Cody's
eyes
immediately
widened,
and
without
a
word
they
started
running.
I
had
no
choice
but
to
follow
them,
getting
my
shoes
wet
and
dirty
with
mud.
We
probably
ran
for
10
minutes
before
Mark
and
Cody
slowed
down.
I
stopped
to
catch
my
breath
and
asked,

Who
was
that?”
Mark
replied,
“The
most
annoying
neighbour
ever.
If
he
caught
up
with
us,
there's
no
telling
what
could
happen.
He
is
always
making
fun
of
us.
I
dislike
him.”
We
kept
walking
on
for
a
few
more
minutes.
Then
a
beautiful
lake
appeared
before
our
eyes.“Wow!
Amazing!”
I
shouted
and
could
hardly
hold
back
my
excitement.
The
lake
was
large
and
the
water
was
deep
and
blue,
looking
so
peaceful
with
tall
trees
around
it.
注意:
1.续写词数应为150左右;
2.请按如下格式作答。
Looking
around,
we
saw
a
rubber
boat
floating
by
the
shore.

M:Well,you

I'd
say

probably
leave

I
don't

M:Which

is
healthier,the

of
any
other
country?
W:The
Chinese
diet
is
considered
to
be
healthier
than
that
of
any
other
country.
M:Why?
W:Because
the
Chinese
diet
contains
a
lot
of
fruit
and
green
vegetables.
It
is
also
low
in
fat.
M:Why
do
lots
of
Chinese
people
have
healthy
teeth?
W:That's
because
they
eat
less
sugar.
M:What
do
you
think
we
should
do
if
we
want
to
be
healthy?
W:We
should
have
a

of
exercise.

you
have
said.

would
like

What
will

hate
to
admit
this.
I
really
don't
know
too
much
about
wine.
W:May
I
make
a
suggestion?
M:Yes,
of
course.
W:Why
don't
you
ask
the
waiter
for
advice?
M:That
will
be
OK
as
long
as
it
isn't
too
expensive.
(Text

W:I'm
afraid
all
our

sir.
Would
you
mind
waiting

one
is
free?
M:Well,how
long
will
it
take?
W:I'm
not
sure,sir.
If
you
are
in
a

also
serve
breakfast
at
the
Coffee

M:That's
too
much
trouble.
I'll
wait.
W:May
I
have

Have

before?
W:Yes,about
three
weeks
ago.
M:What's
the
problem?
W:I
have
a
bad
cough.
M:I
see.
How
about
Thursday
afternoon
at
three?
W:That
would
be
fine.
Thank
you.
M:Can
you
spell
your
name
for
me,please?
W:Nancy,
N-A-N-C-Y,
Nancy.
M:OK.

Your
body,
which
has
close
relations
with
the
food
you
eat,is
the
most
important
thing
you
own,so
it
needs
proper
treatment
and
proper
nourishment.
The
old
saying
“An
apple
a
day
keeps
the
doctor
away.”
is
not
as
silly
as
some
people
think.
The
body
needs
fruit
and
vegetables
because
they
contain
vitamin
C.
Most
people
take
extra
vitamins
in
pill
form,
believing
that
these
will
make
them
healthy.
But
a
good
diet
is
made
up
of
nourishing
food
and
this
gives
all
the
vitamins
you
need.
The
body
doesn't
need
or
use
extra
vitamins,
so
why
waste
money
on
them?
In
the
modern
Western
world,
many
people
are
too
busy
to
bother
about
eating
properly.
They
throw
anything
into
their
stomachs,
eating
hurriedly
and
carelessly.
The
list
of
illnesses
caused
or
made
worse
by
bad
eating
habits
is
frightening.

第二部分
第一节
A
【语篇解读】
本文是一篇应用文。文章介绍了4个国际志愿者项目。
21.答案与解析:B 细节理解题。根据第三段中“Inspire
children
from
l

5
years
old
through
doing
arts
and
crafts,
reading
storybooks,
playing
with
toys,
teaching
hand?washing
with
soap
and
water,
and
more.”可知,Early
Childhood
Education(儿童早期教育)这个项目是鼓励1至5岁的儿童做手工艺品、阅读故事书、玩玩具、教他们用肥皂和水洗手等等。所以擅长做手工艺品的人会选择这个项目。故选B项。
22.答案与解析:A 细节理解题。根据第四段中“To
help
specialists,volunteers
can
be
engaged
to
help
sort
medicines,
make
cotton
balls
and
take
children's
temperature,etc.”可知,在Health
Care这个项目中,志愿者可以帮助专家们(也就是医生)整理药品、制作棉球、测量儿童体温等。故选A项。
23.答案与解析:B 细节理解题。根据第二段中September
15

September
21
可知,协助老人护理中心的这个项目时间在9月15号到9月21号,故选B项。
B
【语篇解读】 本文是一篇记叙文。纽约的学校实施了一条新规定——不允许学生带手机上学,这引起了许多家长和学生的反对。
24.答案与解析:C 考查细节理解。根据第四段内容可知,美国的许多父母认为当孩子乘公共汽车、走出地铁或经过未知的地方时,手机能够使他们和孩子保持联系,故选C项。
25.答案与解析:B 考查词义猜测。根据画线词后的“they
are
like
extra(额外的)
hands
or
feet
for
them”可知,手机对他们来说像是额外的手或脚,由此可见手机对他们非常重要,因此画线词应意为“必要的”,
故B项正确。
26.答案与解析:A 考查细节理解。根据最后一段中的“There
is
also
no
way
to
listen
to
music
on
the
way
to
school
without
my
phone.”可知,学生在上学的路上用手机听音乐,故A项正确。
27.答案与解析:C 考查主旨大意。通读全文,尤其是根据第一段中的“Students
can't
even
bring
cellphones
to
school.
Is
it
a
good
thing
or
not?”和第二段内容可知,本文主要介绍了纽约的学校实行的一条新规定——不允许学生带手机上学,这引发了争议,即家长认为手机是他们和孩子保持联系的重要途径,学生更是认为手机对他们来说至关重要,故C项正确。
C
【语篇解读】 本文是一篇说明文。文章通过介绍欧洲和美国用冰箱和冰块的历史,解释了为什么现在美国人普遍喜欢喝东西加冰,而欧洲人通常饮用常温饮品。
28.答案与解析:B 推理判断题。根据第一段中最后一句可知,作者说美国时用了we,说英国时用了they。由此推测作者应该是个美国人,故B项正确。
29.答案与解析:C 推理判断题。根据第二、三段可知,欧洲人之所以喝常温饮料不是因为他们没有冰箱,不是因为他们有温热的自来水,也不是因为他们买不起冰,而是由于19世纪的经历,他们习惯了不加冰的饮品,故C项正确。
30.答案与解析:A 推理判断题。根据第二、三段可知,19世纪时期,大部分美国家庭就拥有了冰箱,并且高价在英国售卖冰块,后来英国家庭才开始拥有冰箱,因此他们比美国人晚拥有冰箱,故A项正确。
31.答案与解析:A 主旨大意题。第一段中首句点出本文主题,指出美国人喜欢在饮品中加冰,而欧洲人不喜欢,接下来的二、三段中,讲述了这一不同传统的由来,故A项正确。
D
【语篇解读】 本文是一篇说明文。文章讲述了座头鲸的歌声以及其歌声的意义。
32.答案与解析:C 主旨大意题。通读全文可知,文章讲述了座头鲸的歌声及其歌声的意义。故选C项。
33.答案与解析:B 细节理解题。根据第三段中的“but
scientists
showed
this
was
incorrect
when
they
played
recordings
of
whale
songs
in
the
ocean
and
the
female
whales
did
not
resdond”可知,当科学家们在海洋中播放雄性鲸鱼歌声的录音时雌性鲸鱼没有反应。故选B项。
34.答案与解析:A 细节理解题。
根据第二段最后两句“Up
in
the
boat,
Darling
recorded
the
whale's
song,
which
can
be
long
and
complex,
sometimes
lasting
for
30
minutes
or
more.
Actually,
they
are
perhaps
the
longest
songs
sung
by
any
animal.”可知,座头鲸的歌声长且复杂。A项表达错误,故选A项。
35.答案与解析:B 细节理解题。根据第二段中的“When
swimming
with
the
whale,
Chadwick
could
see
that
the
whale
was
aware
of
him”和最后一段第一句“Another
member
of
the
research
team,
photographer
Flip
Nicklin,
recalls
a
special
moment
he
had
while
interacting
with
a
humpback.”可知,他们的共同点是“他们和鲸鱼一起游过泳”。故选B项。
第二节
【语篇解读】 本文是一篇说明文。文章提出了普通人如何让世界变得更美好的几点建议。
36.答案与解析:G 根据空前“When
you
think
about
people
who
have
made
the
world
a
better
place,
you
probably
think
of
famous
scientists
or
great
leaders.
That
is
not
all
the
truth.”可知,当你想到那些可以让世界变得更好的人时,你可能会想到著名的科学家或者伟大的领袖,但事实并非如此,此处应该与著名的科学家或者伟大的领袖形成对比,故G项(像你我这样的普通人也能起很大的作用)符合语境。
37.答案与解析:E 根据空后“For
example,
if
you
want
to
help
hungry
children,
you
can
try
to
find
an
international
organization
that
provides
food
for
those
in
poor
areas.”可知,如果你想帮助饥饿的儿童,你可以尽力找一个为贫困地区的人提供食物的国际组织。故E项(选择对你有意义的慈善事业。)符合语境。
38.答案与解析:D 根据空前“Help
the
blind
cross
the
street.”可知此处讲的应该还是帮助陌生人的行为,D项(在公共汽车上给老人让座。)符合语境。
39.答案与解析:F 根据空前“Take
your
husband
to
his
favourite
fun
place
if
he
has
had
a
hard
week.”可知,如果你的丈夫经历了艰难的一周,带他去他最喜欢的娱乐场所。故此处讲的应该还是关于对待家人的内容,F项(告诉你的孩子们他们对你有多重要。)符合语境。
40.答案与解析:A 根据本段内容,特别是空后“If
a
friend
needs
skills
in
a
certain
area,offer
your
advice.”可知,如果朋友在某一领域需要技能,主动提出你的建议。故本段讲的是知识上的帮助,A项(分享你的知识。)符合语境。

参考范文:
Looking
around,
we
saw
a
rubber
boat
floating
by
the
shore.
“How
about
going
boating?”
Mark
asked.
“Good
idea.”
So
we
three
excitedly
jumped
onto
the
boat
and
rowed
far
out.
I
was
thrilled
to
find
so
many
fishes
in
the
lake.
Before
I
could
say
a
word,
Mark
had
cast
the
fishing
net
into
the
water.
“Let's
wait
and
see.”
Mark
smiled
mysteriously.
“Look
this
way.
Let
me
take
a
photo
of
you
two,”
Cody
said,
taking
out
the
camera.
Hearing
that,
I
quickly
approached
Mark.
But
all
of
a
sudden
I
lost
my
balance
and
fell
into
the
water.
“Help!
Help!
Help!”
I
was
so
frightened
and
cried
for
help.
However,
none
of
us
could
swim.
Mark
and
Cody
tried
to
pull
me
up
from
the
water
but
in
vain.
Struggling
in
the
water,
I
was
almost
exhausted
when
I
felt
myself
lifted
by
someone.
It
was
Mark's
neighbour,
who
followed
us
there
and
saw
what
had
happened.
Without
hesitation,
he
jumped
into
the
water
and
I
was
saved.
