Georgia
Tech

they

come
up
with

device

smart
keyboard
precisely
measures
the
cadence

with
which
one
types
and
the
pressure
fingers
apply
to
each
key.
The
keyboard
could
offer
a
strong
layer
of
security
by
analyzing
things
like
the
force
of
a
user's
typing
and
the
time
between
key
presses.
These
patterns
are
unique
to
each
person.
Thus,
the
keyboard
can
determine
people's
identities,

by
extension,
whether
they
should
be
given
access
to
the
computer

connected
to—regardless
of
whether
someone
gets
the
password
right.

also

require
a
new
type

technology

already
familiar

a
keyboard

a
study
describing
the
technology,
the

volunteers
type
the
word
“touch”four
times

smart
keyboard.

collected
from
the
device
could

used

recognize
different
participants
based
on
how
they
typed,

radar

big
buildings
can
change
how
air
and
rain
move

storm.

explains
why
a
single,
expensive
sensor—the
kind

might
be
found
at
an
official
weather
station—won't
give
accurate
citywide
data,”
Hut

by
putting
a
low?cost
rain
measuring
tool
into

much
rainfall
differs
in

yellow
disk
