2、能力目标:
能听懂关于圣诞节的故事,准确说出 “What is Christmas?”,及圣诞节特殊的理由,能够在实际的生活中灵活运用过圣诞节的一些说法。
3、情感目标:
使孩子们了解更多关于国外节日的信息,增强他们的跨文化意识,培养他们热爱祖国的思想感情。
教学重,难点
重点:1、掌握单词Christmas,Christmas tree,holiday,lights并能准确认读单词special,Santa,toys,invite,bring,give。
2、 能用英语表述“What is Christmas?”准确说出圣诞节特殊的理由。
难点:能够在实际生活中灵活运用过圣诞节的一些说法,如“邀请别人,互赠礼物,唱圣诞歌”等
教学过程
1、 课堂导入
(1) 用Jingle Bells 动画歌曲渲染课堂气氛。(出示课件一)
(设计意图:学生在轻松的氛围下进入英语课堂,而且使他们对圣诞节产生好奇感。)
2、学习新知
(1)导入环节引出Christmas以及圣诞节的时间。(出示课件第二部分)
T:There is a very important day in December. What is it? Yes, it’s Christmas. Do you know when the Christmas is? It’s December 25th.
(2)出示春节中国节日图片,学习新知holiday; 中西文化对比,学习新知western.
T: Spring Festival is in China. It’s a Chinese holiday. Is Christmas a Chinese holiday? No, Christmas is a western holiday.
(3) Next through the mind map, we will learn Christmas trees, lights and Santa.
(4) 出示课件第六部分,圣诞老人提问,然后学生回答问题:
一学生扮演背着礼物袋的圣诞老人,通过问题让学生明白以下问题。
T: I will ask one student to be Santa. Santa brings toys and gifts for us. He will give them to us.
a. What’s Christmas?
b. Why is Christmas special?
Ss: It’s a western holiday. On a holiday, people don’t work. Children don’t go to school.
Christmas is special. Because we have Christmas trees, lights and Santa.
(5)让孩子们用自己的语言说说春节人们都干什么 , T: Boys and girls, we know that Spring Festival is a Chinese holiday. We are happy on that day. What do we do on Spring Festival?
S: We invite grandfather and grandmother. They give us money. We also eat dumplings and a lot of good food. Then we watch the evening party.
