一般过去时
主要表示一个过去发生的动作或存在的状态。
在小学阶段，经常在一般过去时态中见到的时间词：

动词过去式的构词法：
1.动词后直接加ed
比如：play-played
listen-listened
jump-jumped
2.以e结尾的只加d
比如：dance-danced
live-lived
tie-tied
3.以辅音字母加y结尾的，变y为i,再加ed
比如：study-studied
carry-carried
worry-worried
hurry-hurried
动词过去式的构词法：
4.动词结尾从后往前数，符合“辅音字母+元音字母+辅音字母”结构的，并且这之间的元音字母发重读闭音节体系音
（即a-/?/,e-/e/,i-/i/,o-/?/,u-/?/）
这时候变过去式要双写最后一个辅音字母再加ed。
比如：drop-dropped
