第二部分
阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)
第一节
(共15小题;每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下列四篇短文,从每小题后所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中,选出最佳选项,并在答題卡上将该选项涂黑。
A
Years
ago,
I
was
so
confident,
and
so
naive(幼稚的).
I
was
so
sure
that
I
was
right
and
everyone
else
was
wrong.
Unfortunately
I
was
lucky
and
got
successful,
so
that
kept
me
blind
to
my
weak
points.
I
sold
my
company,
felt
ready
to
do
something
new,
and
started
to
learn.
But
the
more
I
learned,
the
more
I
realized
how
little
I
knew
and
how
lucky
I
had
been.
I’d
start
to
make
things,
but
then
saw
how
stupid
I
was,
so
I
stpped.
I
lost
all
confidence.
I
spent
a
few
years
completely
stuck.
Finally,
some
new
ideas
helped:
Learning
without
doing
is
wasted.
If
I
don’t
use
what
I
learn,
then
it
is
pointless!
How
terrible
to
waste
hundreds
of
hours
spent
learning,
and
not
turn
them
into
action.
Like
throwing
good
food
in
the
trash:
it’s
wrong.
This
isn’t
about
me.
How
I
feel
in
this
moment
doesn’t
matter-it
will
pass.
Nobody
is
judging
me,
because
nobody
is
thinking
of
me.
They
are
just
looking
for
things
to
improve
their
own
life.
The
public
me
is
not
the
real
me
anyway,
so
if
they
judge
my
public
personality,
that’s
fine.
The
work
is
the
point,
and
my
work
is
special.
If
I
can
do
something
that
people
find
useful,
then
I
should.
It
doesn’t
matter
if
it’s
a
masterpiece
or
not,
as
long
as
I
enjoy
it.
So
I’m
glad
my
old
confidence
is
gone.
Now
I
aim(以……为目标)to
make
my
work
my
little
contribution
to
the
world-just
special
and
useful.
21.I
lost
all
my
confidence
when______
A.I
got
successful
in
my
career.
B.I
Learned
more
than
before.
C.I
sold
my
company.
D.I
realized
I
knew
little.
22.According
to
the
passage,
the
author
prefer______
A.learning
by
using.
B.learning
is
wasting
time.
C.learning
by
spending
hours.
D.learning
is
pointless.
23.Why
does
the
author
think
his
work
is
special?
A.Because
he
is
a
unique
person
in
his
company.
B.Because
he
can
gain
confidence
by
helping
others.
C.Because
his
aim
is
to
be
special
in
the
world.
D.Because
his
old
confidence
is
gone.
B
A
recent
study
led
by
researchers
from
the
National
University
of
Singapore(NUS)has
found
a
clear
link
between
the
color
of
a
taxi
and
its
accident
rate.
An
analysis
of
36
months
of
detailed
taxi,
driver
and
accident
data
from
two
fleets
of
yellow
and
blue
taxis
in
Singapore
suggested
that
yellow
taxis
have
fewer
accidents
than
blue
taxis.
The
higher
visibility
(能见度)of
yellow
makes
it
easier
for
drivers
to
avoid
getting
into
accidents
with
yellow
taxis,
leading
to
a
lower
accident
rate.
The
study
was
led
by
Prof
Ho.
To
test
whether
there
was
a
causal
relationship
between
the
color
of
a
taxi
and
the
number
of
accidents
the
taxi
had,
the
research
team
analysed
data
collected
by
the
largest
taxi
company
in
Singapore.
The
researchers
found
that
yellow
taxis
have
about
6.1
fewer
accidents
per
1,000
taxis
per
month.
The
researchers
also
studied
the
economic
effect
of
changing
the
color
of
the
entire
fleet
of
taxis
to
yellow.
The
Singapore
taxi
company
involved
in
the
study
owns
about
16,700
taxis
in
a
ratio(比例)
of
one
yellow
to
three
blue
taxis.
If
a
commercial
decision
is
made
to
switch
from
blue
to
yellow
taxis,
76.6
fewer
accidents
would
occur
per
month
or
917
fewer
accidents
per
year.
Assuming
an
average
repair
cost
of
$1,000
per
car
and
a
downtime
of
six
days,
switching
the
color
of
all
taxis
to
yellow
could
produce
an
annual
savings
of
$2
million.
“We
are
eager
to
continue
to
validate(证实)
the
findings
of
our
study
by
looking
at
the
use
of
yellow
in
other
types
of
public
transport,
such
as
school
buses.
For
instance,
we
hope
to
compare
the
accident
rates
of
yellow
school
buses
against
other
colors
to
find
out
if
yellow
is
indeed
a
safer
color
for
school
buses.
Besides,
we
are
also
interested
to
look
at
private-hire
vehicles
and
do
a
comparison
of
the
accident
rates
of
vehicles
that
are
of
different
colors,”
explained
Prof
Ho.
24.Why
do
yellow
taxis
result
in
fewer
accidents?
A.Because
yellow
can
be
seen
more
easily.
B.Because
yellow
signals
a
warning
of
danger.
C.Because
drivers
tend
to
be
more
careful
in
yellow
taxis.
D.Because
people
act
more
quickly
in
yellow
surroundings.
25.What’s
Prof
Ho’s
study
based
on?
A.Physical
risks
taxi
passengers
experience.
B.The
economic
effect
of
changing
taxi
color.
C.Data
from
Singapore’s
largest
taxi
company.
D.Personal
reports
from
taxi
drivers
worldwide.
26.What
do
Prof
Ho’s
words
in
the
last
paragraph
suggest?
A.School
buses
should
be
painted
yellow.
B.Their
findings
are
worth
popularizing.
C.Yellow
should
be
widely
used
in
public
transport.
D.Their
study
will
be
furthered.
27.What
can
be
the
best
title
for
the
text?
A.Caution:
yellow
taxis
ahead
B.Safer
to
ride
in
yellow
taxis
C.Why
are
yellow
taxis
preferred?
D.How
can
colors
help
prevent
accidents?
C
Aging
brings
wrinkles,
sagging
bodies
and
frustrating
forgetfulness.
But
getting
older
is
not
all
bad
for
many
people.
Mounting
evidence
suggests
aging
may
be
a
key
to
happiness.
There
is
conflicting
research
on
the
subject,
however,
and
experts
say
it
may
all
boil
down
to
this:
Attitude
is
everything.
Older
adults
tend
to
be
more
optimistic
and
have
a
more
positive
outlook
on
life
than
their
younger
and
stressed
opposites.
The
big
question
is
why
seniors
are
happier.
A
recent
study
suggests
one
reason:
Older
adults
remember
the
past
through
happy
memories.
Aging
can
bring
more
cheer
as
people
become
more
comfortable
with
themselves
and
their
roles
in
society.
The
older
adults
said
they
were
enjoying
more
time
with
their
family,
spending
more
time
on
hobbies
and
having
greater
financial
security
and
did
not
have
to
work.
But
others
are
doubtful
about
the
link
between
happiness
and
growing
older.
"The
notion
that
those
in
old
age
are
happiest
is
misleading,"
said
Richard
Easterlin,
a
professor
of
economics
at
the
University
of
Southern
California.
"It
is
based
on
comparing
people
of
different
ages
who
are
the
same
in
terms
of
income,
health,
family
life."
Easterlin
added,
"When
you
take
account
of
the
fact
that
older
people
have
lower
income
than
younger,
are
less
healthy,
and
more
likely
to
be
living
alone,
then
you
will
find
it
hard
to
accept
that
they
are
happier.
In
fact,
scientists
have
found
that
as
people
age,
their
health
declines
and
social
networks
disappear
as
their
friends
die,
which
can
make
the
elderly
less
happy.
Even
if
one
does
give
in
to
age's
dark
side,
health
and
happiness
don't
always
go
hand-in-hand.
It's
all
about
attitude.
Research
by
the
University
of
Chicago’s
Yang
suggests
that
attitude
about
life
and
happiness,
is
partly
shaped
by
the
era
in
which
a
person
was
born.
It
turns
out
that
individuals
who
adapt
the
best
to
changes
also
have
the
highest
expected
levels
of
happiness.
Despite
the
conflicting
findings
about
aging
and
happiness,
the
good
news
is
that
there
doesn’t
appear
to
be
a
limit
to
how
much
happiness
one
can
achieve
in
one’s
life.
“Most
people
desire
happiness,”
Easterlin
said.
“To
my
knowledge,
no
one
has
identified
a
limit
to
attainable
happiness.”
28.What
does
the
last
paragraph
mainly
tell
us?
A.The
key
factor
to
older
adults’
happiness
B.There
is
a
conflict
between
aging
and
happiness
C.No
one
can
define
the
limit
to
happiness.
D.The
relationship
between
health
and
happiness.
29.Why
are
some
seniors
happier
according
to
some
experts?
A.They
focus
on
what
makes
them
feel
good.
B.They
have
their
own
circle
of
friends.
C.They
have
better
income
after
retirement.
D.They
can
enjoy
social
welfare
services.
30.What
can
we
learn
from
the
passage?
A.People
of
the
same
age
have
the
same
sense
of
happiness.
B.Attitude
may
play
a
very
important
role
in
happiness.
C.People
who
adapt
the
best
to
changes
are
more
likely
to
be
unhappy.
D.Older
adults
who
have
more
valuable
life
experience
are
more
optimistic.
31.What’s
the
topic
discussed
in
the
passage?
A.Whether
aging
or
attitude
brings
happiness.
B.Why
seniors
adapt
the
best
to
changes
in
society.
C.What
the
limit
to
an
elder
person’s
happiness
is.
D.How
older
people
feel
compared
with
younger
people.
D
Raised
in
a
fatherless
home,
my
father
was
extremely
tightfisted
towards
us
children.
His
attitude
didn’t
soften
as
I
grew
into
adulthood
and
went
to
college.
I
had
to
ride
the
bus
whenever
I
came
home.
Though
the
bus
stopped
about
two
miles
from
home,
Dad
never
met
me,
even
in
severe
weather.
If
I
grumbled,
he’d
say
in
his
loudest
father-voice,
“That’s
what
your
legs
are
for!”
The
walk
didn’t
bother
me
as
much
as
the
fear
of
walking
alone
along
the
highway
and
country
roads.
I
also
felt
less
than
valued
that
my
father
didn’t
seem
concerned
about
my
safety.
But
that
feeling
was
canceled
one
spring
evening.
It
had
been
a
particularly
difficult
week
at
college
after
long
hours
in
labs.
I
longed
for
home.
When
the
bus
reached
the
stop,
I
stepped
off
and
dragged
my
suitcase
to
begin
the
long
journey
home.
A
row
of
hedge(树篱)edged
the
driveway
that
climbed
the
hill
to
our
house.
Once
I
had
turned
off
the
highway
to
start
the
last
lap
of
my
journey,
I
always
had
a
sense
of
relief
to
see
the
hedge
because
it
meant
that
I
was
almost
home.
On
that
particular
evening,
the
hedge
had
just
come
into
view
when
I
saw
something
gray
moving
along
the
top
of
the
hedge,
moving
toward
the
house.
Upon
closer
observation,
I
realized
it
was
the
top
of
my
father’s
head.
Then
I
knew,
each
time
I’d
come
home,
he
had
stood
behind
the
hedge,
watching,
until
he
knew
I
had
arrived
safely.
I
swallowed
hard
against
the
tears.
He
did
care,
after
all.
On
later
visits,
that
spot
of
gray
became
my
watchtower.
I
could
hardly
wait
until
I
was
close
enough
to
watch
for
its
secret
movement
above
the
greenery.
Upon
reaching
home,
I
would
find
my
father
sitting
innocently
in
his
chair.
“So!
My
son,
it’s
you!”
he’d
say,
his
face
lengthening
into
pretended
surprise.
I
replied,
“Yes,
Dad,
it’s
me.
I’m
home.”

park
near
my
home.
But
I
didn’t
go
there
very
often.
Many
people
said
there
was
nothing
special.
One
afternoon
I
went
into
the
park
and
found
it
was
really
small.
I
walked
quickly
because
there
wasn’t
much
to
see.
I
walked
for
some
time
and
found
myself
standing
in
front
of
two
paths.36.I
found
that
the
two
paths
were
different
from
each
other.
The
left
one
was
wide
and
clean.
There
were
lots
of
flowers
on
both
sides
of
the
path.
Though
the
flowers
weren’t
very
beautiful,
they
made
me
feel
good.
I
decided
to
take
this
path.
But
wait!
I
looked
at
the
right
one.
The
path
didn’t
look
nice.37.Grass
grew
everywhere.
For
a
long
time
I
couldn’t
make
up
my
mind.
38.It
wasn’t
nice
,
but
I
didn’t
want
to
give
up.
At
last,
I
came
to
the
end
of
the
path.
Ah!
There
was
a
small
garden
there.
It
was
beautiful,
perhaps
the
most
beautiful
garden
I
had
ever
seen.39.
Many
people
told
me
that
there
was
nothing
much
to
see
in
the
park.
Now
I’d
like
to
tell
them
that
if
they
had
followed
the
right
way,
they
would
have
felt
differently.
But
when
I
told
them
about
what
I
had
seen
in
the
park,
they
just
smiled
at
me
without
saying
a
word.
I
knew
they
didn’t
believe
me.
They
couldn’t
even
remember
that
path
because
it
was
so
small.
40.Don’t
be
afraid
to
choose
a
different
path.
You
may
get
a
big
surprise!
A.There
is
nothing
that
I
want
to
see.
B.It
looked
like
it
had
not
been
cleaned
for
months.
C.After
a
while
a
strange
feeling
made
me
follow
the
dirty
path.
D.“
Which
way
should
I
go?”
I
asked
myself.
I
looked
at
one
way,
then
the
other.
E.I
told
them
what
happened.
F.My
trip
to
the
park
that
day
made
me
understand
something
about
life.
G.There
were
trees,
flowers
and
chairs.
I
thought
it
was
the
nicest
part
of
the
park.

完形填空
The
journey
my
daughter
Cathy
has
had
with
her
swimming
is
as
long
as
it
is
beautiful.
Cathy
suffered
some
terrible
1
in
her
early
childhood.
After
years
of
regular
treatment,
she
2
became
healthy.
Two
years
ago,
while
Cathy
was
watching
the
Olympics,
a
dream
came
into
her
sweet
little
head—to
be
a
swimmer.
Last
summer,
she
wanted
to
3
our
local
swim
team.
She
practiced
hard
and
finally
4
it.
The
team
practice,
5
was
a
rough
start.
She
coughed
and
choked
and
could
hardly
6
her
first
few
weeks.
Hearing
her
coughing
bitterly
one
night,
I
decided
to
7
her
from
it
all.
But
Cathy
woke
me
up
early
next
morning,
wearing
her
swimsuit
8
to
go!
I
told
her
she
shouldn’t
swim
after
a
whole
night’s
coughing,
but
she
refused
to
9
and
insisted
she
go.
From
that
day
on,
Cathy
kept
swimming
and
didn’t
10
a
single
practice.
She
had
a
11
intention
within
herself
to
be
the
best
she
could
be.
My
ten-year-old
was
growing
and
changing
right
before
my
eyes,
into
this
12
human
being
with
a
passion
and
a
mission.
There
were
moments
of
13
of
course:
often
she
would
be
the
last
swimmer
in
the
race.
It
was
difficult
for
Cathy
to
accept
that
she
wasn’t
a
14
—ever.
But
that
didn’t
stop
her
from
trying.
Then
came
the
final
awards
ceremony
at
the
end
of
the
year.
Cathy
didn’t
expect
any
award
but
was
still
there
to
15
her
friends
and
praise
their
accomplishments.
As
the
ceremony
was
nearing
the
end,
I
suddenly
heard
the
head
coach
16
,
“The
highest
honor
goes
to
Cathy!”
Looking
around,
he
continued,
“Cathy
has
inspired
us
with
her
17
and
enthusiasm.
18
skills
and
talents
bring
great
success,
the
most
valuable
asset(财富)
one
can
hold
is
the
heart.”
It
was
the
greatest
19
of
my
daughter’s
life.
With
all
she
had
been
20
in
her
ten
years,
this
was
the
hour
of
true
triumph(成功).

There’s

you
see
now
why

Yes,

But
this

something

What?

W:
Why
on
earth
did
Quentin
Tarantino

do
an

magazine,
Trevor?
M:
What’s
that
supposed
to
mean?

W:
Um…never
mind.

Good

there!

A
Years
ago,
I
was
so
confident,
and
so
naive(幼稚的).
I
was
so
sure
that
I
was
right
and
everyone
else
was
wrong.
Unfortunately
I
was
lucky
and
got
successful,
so
that
kept
me
blind
to
my
weak
points.
I
sold
my
company,
felt
ready
to
do
something
new,
and
started
to
learn.
But
the
more
I
learned,
the
more
I
realized
how
little
I
knew
and
how
lucky
I
had
been.
I’d
start
to
make
things,
but
then
saw
how
stupid
I
was,
so
I
stpped.
I
lost
all
confidence.
I
spent
a
few
years
completely
stuck.
Finally,
some
new
ideas
helped:
Learning
without
doing
is
wasted.
If
I
don’t
use
what
I
learn,
then
it
is
pointless!
How
terrible
to
waste
hundreds
of
hours
spent
learning,
and
not
turn
them
into
action.
Like
throwing
good
food
in
the
trash:
it’s
wrong.
This
isn’t
about
me.
How
I
feel
in
this
moment
doesn’t
matter-it
will
pass.
Nobody
is
judging
me,
because
nobody
is
thinking
of
me.
They
are
just
looking
for
things
to
improve
their
own
life.
The
public
me
is
not
the
real
me
anyway,
so
if
they
judge
my
public
personality,
that’s
fine.
The
work
is
the
point,
and
my
work
is
special.
If
I
can
do
something
that
people
find
useful,
then
I
should.
It
doesn’t
matter
if
it’s
a
masterpiece
or
not,
as
long
as
I
enjoy
it.
So
I’m
glad
my
old
confidence
is
gone.
Now
I
aim(以……为目标)to
make
my
work
my
little
contribution
to
the
world-just
special
and
useful.
21.I
lost
all
my
confidence
when______
A.I
got
successful
in
my
career.
B.I
Learned
more
than
before.
C.I
sold
my
company.
D.I
realized
I
knew
little.
22.According
to
the
passage,
the
author
prefer______
A.learning
by
using.
B.learning
is
wasting
time.
C.learning
by
spending
hours.
D.learning
is
pointless.
23.Why
does
the
author
think
his
work
is
special?
A.Because
he
is
a
unique
person
in
his
company.
B.Because
he
can
gain
confidence
by
helping
others.
C.Because
his
aim
is
to
be
special
in
the
world.
D.Because
his
old
confidence
is
gone.
B
A
recent
study
led
by
researchers
from
the
National
University
of
Singapore(NUS)has
found
a
clear
link
between
the
color
of
a
taxi
and
its
accident
rate.
An
analysis
of
36
months
of
detailed
taxi,
driver
and
accident
data
from
two
fleets
of
yellow
and
blue
taxis
in
Singapore
suggested
that
yellow
taxis
have
fewer
accidents
than
blue
taxis.
The
higher
visibility
(能见度)of
yellow
makes
it
easier
for
drivers
to
avoid
getting
into
accidents
with
yellow
taxis,
leading
to
a
lower
accident
rate.
The
study
was
led
by
Prof
Ho.
To
test
whether
there
was
a
causal
relationship
between
the
color
of
a
taxi
and
the
number
of
accidents
the
taxi
had,
the
research
team
analysed
data
collected
by
the
largest
taxi
company
in
Singapore.
The
researchers
found
that
yellow
taxis
have
about
6.1
fewer
accidents
per
1,000
taxis
per
month.
The
researchers
also
studied
the
economic
effect
of
changing
the
color
of
the
entire
fleet
of
taxis
to
yellow.
The
Singapore
taxi
company
involved
in
the
study
owns
about
16,700
taxis
in
a
ratio(比例)
of
one
yellow
to
three
blue
taxis.
If
a
commercial
decision
is
made
to
switch
from
blue
to
yellow
taxis,
76.6
fewer
accidents
would
occur
per
month
or
917
fewer
accidents
per
year.
Assuming
an
average
repair
cost
of
$1,000
per
car
and
a
downtime
of
six
days,
switching
the
color
of
all
taxis
to
yellow
could
produce
an
annual
savings
of
$2
million.
“We
are
eager
to
continue
to
validate(证实)
the
findings
of
our
study
by
looking
at
the
use
of
yellow
in
other
types
of
public
transport,
such
as
school
buses.
For
instance,
we
hope
to
compare
the
accident
rates
of
yellow
school
buses
against
other
colors
to
find
out
if
yellow
is
indeed
a
safer
color
for
school
buses.
Besides,
we
are
also
interested
to
look
at
private-hire
vehicles
and
do
a
comparison
of
the
accident
rates
of
vehicles
that
are
of
different
colors,”
explained
Prof
Ho.
24.Why
do
yellow
taxis
result
in
fewer
accidents?
A.Because
yellow
can
be
seen
more
easily.
B.Because
yellow
signals
a
warning
of
danger.
C.Because
drivers
tend
to
be
more
careful
in
yellow
taxis.
D.Because
people
act
more
quickly
in
yellow
surroundings.
25.What’s
Prof
Ho’s
study
based
on?
A.Physical
risks
taxi
passengers
experience.
B.The
economic
effect
of
changing
taxi
color.
C.Data
from
Singapore’s
largest
taxi
company.
D.Personal
reports
from
taxi
drivers
worldwide.
26.What
do
Prof
Ho’s
words
in
the
last
paragraph
suggest?
A.School
buses
should
be
painted
yellow.
B.Their
findings
are
worth
popularizing.
C.Yellow
should
be
widely
used
in
public
transport.
D.Their
study
will
be
furthered.
27.What
can
be
the
best
title
for
the
text?
A.Caution:
yellow
taxis
ahead
B.Safer
to
ride
in
yellow
taxis
C.Why
are
yellow
taxis
preferred?
D.How
can
colors
help
prevent
accidents?
C
Aging
brings
wrinkles,
sagging
bodies
and
frustrating
forgetfulness.
But
getting
older
is
not
all
bad
for
many
people.
Mounting
evidence
suggests
aging
may
be
a
key
to
happiness.
There
is
conflicting
research
on
the
subject,
however,
and
experts
say
it
may
all
boil
down
to
this:
Attitude
is
everything.
Older
adults
tend
to
be
more
optimistic
and
have
a
more
positive
outlook
on
life
than
their
younger
and
stressed
opposites.
The
big
question
is
why
seniors
are
happier.
A
recent
study
suggests
one
reason:
Older
adults
remember
the
past
through
happy
memories.
Aging
can
bring
more
cheer
as
people
become
more
comfortable
with
themselves
and
their
roles
in
society.
The
older
adults
said
they
were
enjoying
more
time
with
their
family,
spending
more
time
on
hobbies
and
having
greater
financial
security
and
did
not
have
to
work.
But
others
are
doubtful
about
the
link
between
happiness
and
growing
older.
"The
notion
that
those
in
old
age
are
happiest
is
misleading,"
said
Richard
Easterlin,
a
professor
of
economics
at
the
University
of
Southern
California.
"It
is
based
on
comparing
people
of
different
ages
who
are
the
same
in
terms
of
income,
health,
family
life."
Easterlin
added,
"When
you
take
account
of
the
fact
that
older
people
have
lower
income
than
younger,
are
less
healthy,
and
more
likely
to
be
living
alone,
then
you
will
find
it
hard
to
accept
that
they
are
happier.
In
fact,
scientists
have
found
that
as
people
age,
their
health
declines
and
social
networks
disappear
as
their
friends
die,
which
can
make
the
elderly
less
happy.
Even
if
one
does
give
in
to
age's
dark
side,
health
and
happiness
don't
always
go
hand-in-hand.
It's
all
about
attitude.
Research
by
the
University
of
Chicago’s
Yang
suggests
that
attitude
about
life
and
happiness,
is
partly
shaped
by
the
era
in
which
a
person
was
born.
It
turns
out
that
individuals
who
adapt
the
best
to
changes
also
have
the
highest
expected
levels
of
happiness.
Despite
the
conflicting
findings
about
aging
and
happiness,
the
good
news
is
that
there
doesn’t
appear
to
be
a
limit
to
how
much
happiness
one
can
achieve
in
one’s
life.
“Most
people
desire
happiness,”
Easterlin
said.
“To
my
knowledge,
no
one
has
identified
a
limit
to
attainable
happiness.”
28.What
does
the
last
paragraph
mainly
tell
us?
A.The
key
factor
to
older
adults’
happiness
B.There
is
a
conflict
between
aging
and
happiness
C.No
one
can
define
the
limit
to
happiness.
D.The
relationship
between
health
and
happiness.
29.Why
are
some
seniors
happier
according
to
some
experts?
A.They
focus
on
what
makes
them
feel
good.
B.They
have
their
own
circle
of
friends.
C.They
have
better
income
after
retirement.
D.They
can
enjoy
social
welfare
services.
30.What
can
we
learn
from
the
passage?
A.People
of
the
same
age
have
the
same
sense
of
happiness.
B.Attitude
may
play
a
very
important
role
in
happiness.
C.People
who
adapt
the
best
to
changes
are
more
likely
to
be
unhappy.
D.Older
adults
who
have
more
valuable
life
experience
are
more
optimistic.
31.What’s
the
topic
discussed
in
the
passage?
A.Whether
aging
or
attitude
brings
happiness.
B.Why
seniors
adapt
the
best
to
changes
in
society.
C.What
the
limit
to
an
elder
person’s
happiness
is.
D.How
older
people
feel
compared
with
younger
people.
D
Raised
in
a
fatherless
home,
my
father
was
extremely
tightfisted
towards
us
children.
His
attitude
didn’t
soften
as
I
grew
into
adulthood
and
went
to
college.
I
had
to
ride
the
bus
whenever
I
came
home.
Though
the
bus
stopped
about
two
miles
from
home,
Dad
never
met
me,
even
in
severe
weather.
If
I
grumbled,
he’d
say
in
his
loudest
father-voice,
“That’s
what
your
legs
are
for!”
The
walk
didn’t
bother
me
as
much
as
the
fear
of
walking
alone
along
the
highway
and
country
roads.
I
also
felt
less
than
valued
that
my
father
didn’t
seem
concerned
about
my
safety.
But
that
feeling
was
canceled
one
spring
evening.
It
had
been
a
particularly
difficult
week
at
college
after
long
hours
in
labs.
I
longed
for
home.
When
the
bus
reached
the
stop,
I
stepped
off
and
dragged
my
suitcase
to
begin
the
long
journey
home.
A
row
of
hedge(树篱)edged
the
driveway
that
climbed
the
hill
to
our
house.
Once
I
had
turned
off
the
highway
to
start
the
last
lap
of
my
journey,
I
always
had
a
sense
of
relief
to
see
the
hedge
because
it
meant
that
I
was
almost
home.
On
that
particular
evening,
the
hedge
had
just
come
into
view
when
I
saw
something
gray
moving
along
the
top
of
the
hedge,
moving
toward
the
house.
Upon
closer
observation,
I
realized
it
was
the
top
of
my
father’s
head.
Then
I
knew,
each
time
I’d
come
home,
he
had
stood
behind
the
hedge,
watching,
until
he
knew
I
had
arrived
safely.
I
swallowed
hard
against
the
tears.
He
did
care,
after
all.
On
later
visits,
that
spot
of
gray
became
my
watchtower.
I
could
hardly
wait
until
I
was
close
enough
to
watch
for
its
secret
movement
above
the
greenery.
Upon
reaching
home,
I
would
find
my
father
sitting
innocently
in
his
chair.
“So!
My
son,
it’s
you!”
he’d
say,
his
face
lengthening
into
pretended
surprise.
I
replied,
“Yes,
Dad,
it’s
me.
I’m
home.”

七选五阅读
There
was
a
park
near
my
home.
But
I
didn’t
go
there
very
often.
Many
people
said
there
was
nothing
special.
One
afternoon
I
went
into
the
park
and
found
it
was
really
small.
I
walked
quickly
because
there
wasn’t
much
to
see.
I
walked
for
some
time
and
found
myself
standing
in
front
of
two
paths.36.I
found
that
the
two
paths
were
different
from
each
other.
The
left
one
was
wide
and
clean.
There
were
lots
of
flowers
on
both
sides
of
the
path.
Though
the
flowers
weren’t
very
beautiful,
they
made
me
feel
good.
I
decided
to
take
this
path.
But
wait!
I
looked
at
the
right
one.
The
path
didn’t
look
nice.37.Grass
grew
everywhere.
For
a
long
time
I
couldn’t
make
up
my
mind.
38.It
wasn’t
nice
,
but
I
didn’t
want
to
give
up.
At
last,
I
came
to
the
end
of
the
path.
Ah!
There
was
a
small
garden
there.
It
was
beautiful,
perhaps
the
most
beautiful
garden
I
had
ever
seen.39.
Many
people
told
me
that
there
was
nothing
much
to
see
in
the
park.
Now
I’d
like
to
tell
them
that
if
they
had
followed
the
right
way,
they
would
have
felt
differently.
But
when
I
told
them
about
what
I
had
seen
in
the
park,
they
just
smiled
at
me
without
saying
a
word.
I
knew
they
didn’t
believe
me.
They
couldn’t
even
remember
that
path
because
it
was
so
small.
40.Don’t
be
afraid
to
choose
a
different
path.
You
may
get
a
big
surprise!
A.There
is
nothing
that
I
want
to
see.
B.It
looked
like
it
had
not
been
cleaned
for
months.
C.After
a
while
a
strange
feeling
made
me
follow
the
dirty
path.
D.“
Which
way
should
I
go?”
I
asked
myself.
I
looked
at
one
way,
then
the
other.
E.I
told
them
what
happened.
F.My
trip
to
the
park
that
day
made
me
understand
something
about
life.
G.There
were
trees,
flowers
and
chairs.
I
thought
it
was
the
nicest
part
of
the
park.

完形填空
The
journey
my
daughter
Cathy
has
had
with
her
swimming
is
as
long
as
it
is
beautiful.
Cathy
suffered
some
terrible
1
in
her
early
childhood.
After
years
of
regular
treatment,
she
2
became
healthy.
Two
years
ago,
while
Cathy
was
watching
the
Olympics,
a
dream
came
into
her
sweet
little
head—to
be
a
swimmer.
Last
summer,
she
wanted
to
3
our
local
swim
team.
She
practiced
hard
and
finally
4
it.
The
team
practice,
5
was
a
rough
start.
She
coughed
and
choked
and
could
hardly
6
her
first
few
weeks.
Hearing
her
coughing
bitterly
one
night,
I
decided
to
7
her
from
it
all.
But
Cathy
woke
me
up
early
next
morning,
wearing
her
swimsuit
8
to
go!
I
told
her
she
shouldn’t
swim
after
a
whole
night’s
coughing,
but
she
refused
to
9
and
insisted
she
go.
From
that
day
on,
Cathy
kept
swimming
and
didn’t
10
a
single
practice.
She
had
a
11
intention
within
herself
to
be
the
best
she
could
be.
My
ten-year-old
was
growing
and
changing
right
before
my
eyes,
into
this
12
human
being
with
a
passion
and
a
mission.
There
were
moments
of
13
of
course:
often
she
would
be
the
last
swimmer
in
the
race.
It
was
difficult
for
Cathy
to
accept
that
she
wasn’t
a
14
—ever.
But
that
didn’t
stop
her
from
trying.
Then
came
the
final
awards
ceremony
at
the
end
of
the
year.
Cathy
didn’t
expect
any
award
but
was
still
there
to
15
her
friends
and
praise
their
accomplishments.
As
the
ceremony
was
nearing
the
end,
I
suddenly
heard
the
head
coach
16
,
“The
highest
honor
goes
to
Cathy!”
Looking
around,
he
continued,
“Cathy
has
inspired
us
with
her
17
and
enthusiasm.
18
skills
and
talents
bring
great
success,
the
most
valuable
asset(财富)
one
can
hold
is
the
heart.”
It
was
the
greatest
19
of
my
daughter’s
life.
With

语法填空
A

I
had
to
stay
at
the
hospital
for
three
days
for
a
medical
test.
I
41.(ask)
to
stay
awake
for
more
than
30
hours
because
of
the
test.
It
could
be
42.(extreme)
difficult
for
anyone.
And
I
didn't
believe
I
could
make
it.
My
mother
said
she
would
accompany
me.
But
I
knew
even
43.
my
mother
accompanying
me,
it
wouldn't
be
easy.
To
my
surprise,
that
afternoon
44.
my
mom
came
to
my
room,
she
had
my
friend
Susan
with
her.
That
afternoon
Susan
called
my
mother.
As
soon
as
she
45.
(hear)
I
needed
to
stay
awake
for
so
long,
she
decided
to
help
me.
So
she
offered
46.(come)
to
the
hospital
to
stay
with
me
and
help
keep
me
awake.
Things
became
much
47.
(easy)
than
I
had
imagined
with
Susan's
help.
She
told
me
stories
and
jokes
,
and
time
passed
very
quickly.
Without
Susan's
help,48.
whole
stay
in
the
hospital
would
have
been
much
more
difficult.
And
our

became
deeper
from
then
on.
I
think
nothing
can
keep
us
apart.
I'm
so
50.
(thank)

I
have
such
a
friend.

短文改错
This
morning,
I
was
jogging
in
the
park
while
I
caught
sight
of
a
wallet
on
a
bench.
Clear,
someone
had
left
it
there
in
accident.
I
picked
up
and
checked
the
contents.
Inside
it,
I
found
some
money
or
a
card
with
a
phone
number.
Believing
that
the
owner
would
be
worried,
I
immediately
try
the
number.
A
man
answered
it
in
an
anxious
voice.
Hearing
that
I
had
his
wallet,
he
sighed
with
relief
and
told
me
he
would
come
right
away.
Ten
minutes
late,
the
man
arrived.
After
confirm
he
was
the
owner,
I
returned
the
wallet
back
to
him.
With
his
thumb
up,
he
expressed
his
thank
to
me
repeatedly.
Seeing
the
smile
on
his
face,
I
felt
happy
that
I
was
able
to
help.
