Jason
Detzel
was
bored
with
his
work
as
a
psychologist,
and
he
was
tired
of
spending
all
day
in
an
office.
Dr.
Detzel
felt
that
in
the
city
he
was
losing
touch
with
something
important,
so
he
quit
his
job
and
started
a
farm.
He
and
his
business
partner
found
80
acres
of
land
in
a
small
town
and
signed
a
10-year
lease.
While
some
farms
used
a
lot
of
machinery,
they
decided
they
wanted
to
do
as
much
as
possible
with
their
own
hands.
They
built
a
corral
for
the
cows,
pig
shelters
and
a
house
for
the
chickens.
“I’m
definitely
happier
being
out
in
the
fields
with
my
animals.
Even
if
there
are
bad
days,
I’m
still
happy,”
Dr.
Detzel
said.
“When
you’re
inside
all
day,
you
don’t
get
to
see
nature
working.”
“The
job
is
different
every
day
on
the
farm.
It’s
amazing,”
he
said.
“You’re
a
farmer.
You’re
an
animal
doctor.
You’re
a
pipefitter.
You’re
definitely
a
carpenter
a
lot.
You’re
a
jack-of-all-trades(万事通),
master
of
none.
That’s
what
I
like
about
it.”
Learning
how
to
manage
the
animals
had
been
one
of
the
biggest
challenges
of
starting
the
farm,
Dr.
Detzel
said.
He
learned
that
it
was
important
to
stick
to
a
routine.
That’s
why
he
rang
the
same
bell
and
called
to
the
cows
in
the
same
way
each
day.
The
routine
helped
keep
the
cows
calm
and
cooperative.
It
wasn’t
easy
for
Dr.
Detzel
to
be
accepted
by
the
other
farmers
in
his
community.
With
all
his
tattoos,
he
looked
very
different.
When
he
started
the
farm
he
was
in
his
early
30s,
while
most
other
farmers
were
older.
There
weren’t
many
young
people
starting
farms,
because
it
had
become
harder
and
harder
for
small
family
farms
to
make
much
income.
Dr.
Detzel
said
that
began
to
change
when
more
people
became
locavores.
A
locavore
is
someone
who
tries
to
eat
food
grown
and
raised
nearby.
By
shopping
at
their
local
farmers’
market,
many
locavores
hope
to
reduce
the
amount
of
energy
used
to
ship
food
long
distances.
Many
locavores
like
knowing
where
their
food
comes
from
and
being
able
to
talk
to
the
farmers
about
what
chemicals
were
used
and
how
the
animals
were
treated.
4.
What
was
the
main
purpose
of
Dr.
Detzel
starting
a
farm?
A.
To
keep
in
touch
with
his
friends.
B.
To
make
more
money.
C.
To
study
agricultural
machinery.
D.
To
get
back
to
nature.
5.
What
did
Dr.
Detzel
like
about
his
job
on
the
farm?
A.
He
could
do
many
types
of
work
B.
He
was
good
at
many
things.
C.
He
often
traded
at
a
profit.
D.
He
could
get
to
know
many
farmers.
6.
To
manage
the
animals,
Dr.
Detzel
.
A.
followed
a
routine
B.
used
different
bells
C.
learned
from
other
farmers
D.
called
professionals
for
help
7.
A
locavore
prefers
.
A.
self-produced
food
B.
healthy
organic
food
C.
food
grown
by
local
farmers
D.
food
grown
by
local
farmers
C
From
a
distance,
they
look
like
nothing
more
than
thin
red
lines
on
the
horizon,
easily
lost
in
the
rough
blue
of
the
Atlantic
Ocean.
But
get
closer
and
the
significance
of
the
140m-long
tubes
becomes
apparent:
they
are
the
beginning
of
an
entirely
new
industry
in
the
hunt
for
clean
power.
Yesterday,
the
red
snake-like
objects
were
laid
as
part
of
the
world's,
first
wave-power
station,
off
the
coast
of
the
northern
Portuguese
town
of
Agucadoura.
The
project
marks
the
latest
step
in
Portugal's
moves
to
become
a
leader
in
developing
renewable
energy
sources.
At
the
heart
of
the
power
station
are
three
round
wave
energy
converters(转换器),
designed
and
built
by
a
British
company
Pelamis
Wave
Power.
Moving
up
and
down
on
the
endless
supply
of
waves
in
the
open
sea,
they
change
the
motion
into
electricity,
without
sending
out
any
of
the
carbon
dioxide
responsible
for
warming
the
planet.
The
Pelamis
wave
machines
will
produce
2.25
Megawatt(MW兆瓦),
enough
for
the
annual
needs
of
about
1,500
homes.
Eventually,
the
station
will
be
expanded
with
a
further
25
Pelamis
machines
so
that
it
can
produce
up
to
21MW
of
power.
That
will
save
60,000
tons
of
CO2
per
year
compared
with
a
conventional
fossil
fuel
plant.
“The
future
of
wave
energy
starts
today,”
said
ManuelPinho,
Portugal's
economics
minister.
“Portugal
wants
to
be
good
in
renewable
energy.
We
are
among
the
top
five
in
the
world,
and
we
are
just
in
the
beginning
of
the
process.
We
think
this
can
create
an
industrial
revolution
and
a
lot
of
opportunities
for
jobs
and
research
and
we
want
to
lead
the
trend.”
In
addition
to
this
flagship
wave
power,
the
Portuguese
are
spending
large
amounts
of
money
on
other
renewable
technologies.
In
the
past
three
years,
the
country
has
enlarged
3
times
its
hydroelectric
capacity
and
4
times
its
wind
power
sources-northern
Portugal
has
the
world's
biggest
wind
farm.
They
are
already
spending
&250m
on
more
than
2,500
solar
panels
to
build
the
world's
largest
solar
farm
near
the
small
town
of
Moura
in
eastern
Portugal.
It
will
have
twice
the
area
of
London's
Hyde
Park
and
supply
45MW
of
electricity
each
year,
enough
to
power
30,000
homes.

In
the
mid-2000s,
Waze
Mobile
co-founder
Ehud
Shabtai
received
a
cutting-edge
(尖端的)
gift
from
girlfriend:
a
GPS.
The
expensive
gift
was
supposed
to
be
helpful.
But
straight
out
of
the
box,
it
was
already
out
of
date.
Shabtai,
a
coding
enthusiast,
had
an
immediate
reaction
to
reinvent.
Shabtai’s
solution?
To
build
an
app.
With
80
million
monthly
active
users
globally
and
nearly
400,000
superusers
who
function
much
like
Wikipedia
volunteer
editors
(editing
maps
rather
than
words),
Waze
Mobile
caught
the
eye
of
Google
as
a
revolutionary
approach
to
navigation
(导航).
Acquired
by
Google
in
2013,
Waze’s
value
mainly
lies
in
its
high
rate
of
user
involvement.
Unlike
traditional
navigation
apps
that
simply
show
directions,
Waze
asks
its
users
to
report
accidents
and
other
road
conditions
in
real
time,
so
other
users
can
avoid
the
traffic
by
using
an
alternative
route.
The
goal
behind
Waze’s
approach
is
an
ambitious
one:
not
just
avoid
traffic,
but
end
it
altogether.
Waze
is
finding
new
ways
to
put
its
loyal
and
active
user
base
to
use
to
make
that
vision
a
reality,
including
a
plan
to
make
carpooling
(拼车)
cool.
To
be
sure,
traffic
jams
are
troubling
people
all
over
the
world.
Waze
has
been
quietly
ahead
of
the
game
for
some
time.
In
2013,
when
Waze
was
just
a
small
digital-mapping
business
with
limited
resources
it
had
something
Google
Maps
and
other
competitors
didn’t:
richer
GPS
guidance
thanks
to
its
stream
of
live
traffic
reports
from
users.
These
users
were
the
basis
of
Shabtai’s
plan
to
solve
for
his
GPS
device’s
“silent”
hardware:
he
grounded
the
app
in
software
that
could
be
perpetually
updated
by
users,
anywhere
and
anytime.
Waze
Carpool
is
going
straight
to
the
heart
of
traffic
jams,
trying
to
get
more
drivers
off
the
road
and
into
carpools.
The
app
has
already
connected
tens
of
thousands
of
rideseekers
with
drivers
willing
to
ferry
them
along
a
shared
route,
and
that
trend
could
be
the
answer
to
a
traffic-free
future.

80
acres
of
land
in
a
small
town
and
signed
a
10-year
lease.
While
some
farms
used
a
lot
of
machinery,
they
decided
they
wanted
to
do
as
much
as
possible
with
their
own
hands.
They
built
a
corral
for
the
cows,
pig
shelters
and
a
house
for
the
chickens.
“I’m
definitely
happier
being
out
in
the
fields
with
my
animals.
Even
if
there
are
bad
days,
I’m
still
happy,”
Dr.
Detzel
said.
“When
you’re
inside
all
day,
you
don’t
get
to
see
nature
working.”
“The
job
is
different
every
day
on
the
farm.
It’s
amazing,”
he
said.
“You’re
a
farmer.
You’re
an
animal
doctor.
You’re
a
pipefitter.
You’re
definitely
a
carpenter
a
lot.
You’re
a
jack-of-all-trades(万事通),
master
of
none.
That’s
what
I
like
about
it.”
Learning
how
to
manage
the
animals
had
been
one
of
the
biggest
challenges
of
starting
the
farm,
Dr.
Detzel
said.
He
learned
that
it
was
important
to
stick
to
a
routine.
That’s
why
he
rang
the
same
bell
and
called
to
the
cows
in
the
same
way
each
day.
The
routine
helped
keep
the
cows
calm
and
cooperative.
It
wasn’t
easy
for
Dr.
Detzel
to
be
accepted
by
the
other
farmers
in
his
community.
With
all
his
tattoos,
he
looked
very
different.
When
he
started
the
farm
he
was
in
his
early
30s,
while
most
other
farmers
were
older.
There
weren’t
many
young
people
starting
farms,
because
it
had
become
harder
and
harder
for
small
family
farms
to
make
much
income.
Dr.
Detzel
said
that
began
to
change
when
more
people
became
locavores.
A
locavore
is
someone
who
tries
to
eat
food
grown
and
raised
nearby.
By
shopping
at
their
local
farmers’
market,
many
locavores
hope
to
reduce
the
amount
of
energy
used
to
ship
food
long
distances.
Many
locavores
like
knowing
where
their
food
comes
from
and
being
able
to
talk
to
the
farmers
about
what
chemicals
were
used
and
how
the
animals
were
treated.
4.

more
money.

quit
his
job
and
started
a
farm.(

C
From
a
distance,
they
look
like
nothing
more
than
thin
red
lines
on
the
horizon,
easily
lost
in
the
rough
blue
of
the
Atlantic
Ocean.
But
get
closer
and
the
significance
of
the
140m-long
tubes
becomes
apparent:
they
are
the
beginning
of
an
entirely
new
industry
in
the
hunt
for
clean
power.
Yesterday,
the
red
snake-like
objects
were
laid
as
part
of
the
world's,
first
wave-power
station,
off
the
coast
of
the
northern
Portuguese
town
of
Agucadoura.
The
project
marks
the
latest
step
in
Portugal's
moves
to
become
a
leader
in
developing
renewable
energy
sources.
At
the
heart
of
the
power
station
are
three
round
wave
energy
converters(转换器),
designed
and
built
by
a
British
company
Pelamis
Wave
Power.
Moving
up
and
down
on
the
endless
supply
of
waves
in
the
open
sea,
they
change
the
motion
into
electricity,
without
sending
out
any
of
the
carbon
dioxide
responsible
for
warming
the
planet.
The
Pelamis
wave
machines
will
produce
2.25
Megawatt(MW兆瓦),
enough
for
the
annual
needs
of
about
1,500
homes.
Eventually,
the
station
will
be
expanded
with
a
further
25
Pelamis
machines
so
that
it
can
produce
up
to
21MW
of
power.
That
will
save
60,000
tons
of
CO2
per
year
compared
with
a
conventional
fossil
fuel
plant.
“The
future
of
wave
energy
starts
today,”
said
ManuelPinho,
Portugal's
economics
minister.
“Portugal
wants
to
be
good
in
renewable
energy.
We
are
among
the
top
five
in
the
world,
and
we
are
just
in
the
beginning
of
the
process.
We
think
this
can
create
an
industrial
revolution
and
a
lot
of
opportunities
for
jobs
and
research
and
we
want
to
lead
the
trend.”
In
addition
to
this
flagship
wave
power,
the
Portuguese
are
spending
large
amounts
of
money
on
other
renewable
technologies.
In
the
past
three
years,
the
country
has
enlarged
3
times
its

Portugal.
It
will
have
twice
the
area
of
London's

45MW
of
electricity
each

enough
to

D
In
the
mid-2000s,
Waze
Mobile
co-founder
Ehud
Shabtai
received
a
cutting-edge
(尖端的)
gift
from
girlfriend:
a
GPS.
The
expensive
gift
was
supposed
to
be
helpful.
But
straight
out
of
the
box,
it
was
already
out
of
date.
Shabtai
a
coding
enthusiast,
had
an
immediate
reaction
to
reinvent.
Shabtai’s
solution?
To
build
an
app.
With
80
million
monthly
active
users
globally
and
nearly
400,000
superusers
who
function
much
like
Wikipedia
volunteer
editors
(editing
maps
rather
than
words),
Waze
Mobile
caught
the
eye
of
Google
as
a
revolutionary
approach
to
navigation
(导航).
Acquired
by
Google
in
2013,
Waze’s
value
mainly
lies
in
its
high
rate
of
user
involvement.
Unlike
traditional
navigation
apps
that
simply
show
directions,
Waze
asks
its
users
to
report
accidents
and
other
road
conditions
in
real
time,
so
other
users
can
avoid
the
traffic
by
using
an
alternative
route.
The
goal
behind
Waze’s
approach
is
an
ambitious
one:
not
just
avoid
traffic,
but
end
it
altogether.
Waze
is
finding
new
ways
to
put
its
loyal
and
active
user
base
to
use
to
make
that
vision
a
reality,
including
a
plan
to
make
carpooling
(拼车)
cool.
To
be
sure,
traffic
jams
are
troubling
people
all
over
the
world.
Waze
has
been
quietly
ahead
of
the
game
for
some
time.
In
2013,
when
Waze
was
just
a
small
digital-mapping
business
with
limited
resources
it
had
something
Google
Maps
and
other
competitors
didn’t:
richer
GPS
guidance
thanks
to
its
stream
of
live
traffic
reports
from
users.
These
users
were
the
basis
of
Shabtai’s
plan
to
solve
for
his
GPS
device’s
“silent”
hardware:
he
grounded
the
app
in
software
that
could
be
perpetually
updated
by
users
anywhere
and
anytime.
Waze
Carpool
is
going
straight
to
the
heart
of
traffic
jams,
trying
to
get
more
drivers
off
the
road
and
into
carpools.
The
app
has
already
connected
tens
of
thousands
of
rideseekers
with
drivers
willing
to
ferry
them
along
a
shared
route,
and
that
trend
could
be
the
answer
to
a
traffic-free
future.
12.
What
did
Shabtai
do
when
he
found
his
girlfriend’s
gift
out
of
date?
A.
He
improved
it.
B.
He
took
it
apart.
C.
He
put
it
away.
D.
He
used
it
anyway.
13.
What
sets
Waze
Mobile
apart
from
traditional
navigation
apps?
A.
It
has
the
most
users.
B.
It
can
indicate
directions.
C.
It
reports
road
conditions
in
real
time.
D.
Most
users
help
edit
its
words.
14.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“perpetually”
in
paragraph
6
probably
mean?
A.
Difficultly.
B.
Carefully.
C.
Greatly.
D.
Constantly.
15.
What

talked
about
in

【分析】
这是一篇记叙文。作者讲述了两年前和同学们徒步旅行16公里的经历。刚开始时,觉得很有趣,但是天气炎热以及作者的脚开始流血使作者一度想放弃,最后作者还是坚持走完了全程。通过这件事,作者明白了无论发生什么事,都不应该放弃。
【详解】1.考查定语从句。句意:人生充满了各种各样的经历,有些是难以忘怀的。此处为非限制性定语从句修饰先行词experiences,且作介词of的宾语,指物,故应用关系代词which。故
whom改为which。
2.考查名词。句意:我还记得两年前和同学一起徒步16公里到海龙屯的经历。此处experience特指作者两年前和同学一起徒步16公里到海龙屯的经历,应用单数。故
experiences改为experience。
3.考查非谓语动词。句意:那年夏天,我们一大早就出发了,觉得走这么远的路会很有趣。分析句子结构可知think在句中应用非谓语动词形式,与逻辑主语we构成主动关系,故应用现在分词作状语。故
think改为thinking。
4.考查副词。句意:那年夏天,我们一大早就出发了,觉得走这么远的路会很有趣。修饰后文形容词long应用副词so;such为形容词,修饰名词。故
such改为so。
5.考查固定结构。句意:然而,随着天气越来越热,我发现我的腿越来越重。此处为with的复合结构“with+宾语+宾补”,weather与get构成主动关系,故应用现在分词,不需要is。故去掉is。
6.考查代词。句意:然而,随着天气越来越热,我发现我的腿越来越重。根据上文I
found可知是发现“我的”腿越来越重,应用代词my。故
their改为my。
7.考查固定短语。句意:更糟糕的是,因为很长时间鞋的挤压,我的脚开始流血。表示“因为”,后跟名词词组long
time
pressing
against
the
shoes作宾语,应用短语because
of;because引导原因状语从句,后跟句子。故
because
后加
of。
8.考查连词。句意:但我设法走到目的地。根据前后文语境可知为转折关系,应用but。故
And改为But。
9.考查冠词。句意:我明白了,人生是一段如此这样漫长的旅程。journey为可数名词,此处表泛指应用不定冠词,且long是发音以辅音音素开头的单词,应用a。故
the改为a。
10.考查动词时态。句意:无论发生什么事,我们都不应该放弃。此处陈述客观事实应用一般现在时,且主语为No
matter
what,谓语动词应用第三人称单数。故happened改为happens。
