Step1
1. Greetings (1’)
----Good morning, boys and girls.
----Good morning, Miss Wan.
2.Warm up ( review the words about animals)(2’)
----Boys and girls, we have learned some words about animals, yes?
----Yes.
----Can you remember, what are they?
----Cat, dog, mouse, horse, cow
(purpose: review the words so that they can concentrate on the learning and lead in the new words)
Step2 Presentation(20)
----Today, I invite some friends here. Do you want to know them?
----Yes.
Show cards and teach the new words: tortoise frog tadpole fish
Review the words
(purpose: students in Grade 3, they will forget the knowledge easily, so it is necessary to review the words on time.)
Game: slower and louder, if I say the word slow students will say the word louder
(Purpose: to check the students pronunciation and help them to remember the new words.)

Step3 Practice (10’)
(1).Ask a student to hide and other students will look for her/him.

(2).Game: hide and seek
I put the cards into the students’ desks. All the students will say:
Tortoise, tortoise, where are you? And the student will hold the card and say: I’m here.
(Purpose: students will review the new sentences while playing a game and they will feel relax.)
Step4 Sing a song (Where are you?)(5’)
(Purpose: after forty minutes learning students are tired, they can have a rest by singing an English song, at the same time they can review the sentences structure.)
