The teacher can have a free talk with students by asking:
What is the most important thing in our life?
The answer is “health”. So to keep our bodies healthy, we should eat more healthy food while eat less unhealthy food. What do you usually eat?

Listen to the tape and write T or F.
1.Danny’s parents are away for a week.
2.Danny can find bread in the fridge.
3.Danny can eat two donuts a day.
4.Danny can drink one bottle of coke a day.

be away (不在;离开)

辨析 too much,much too与too many
too much意为“太多的”,+不可数名词。

much too意为“实在;太”,+形容词或副词。

too many意为“太多的”,+可数名词复数。
There are too many students in the classroom.

watch TV看电视
You can stay at home and watch TV.
你可以待在家里并且看电视。
四“看”:look,see,watch,read
look 侧重动作。Look at the blackboard.
see 强调结果,“看见”。I can see with my eyes.
watch 侧重“观看”、“观察”。I am watching a basketball game.
read 侧重阅读。I like to read books.
every day 每天
I do my homework every day.
我每天都做作业。
He comes here every day.
他每天来这儿。
I eat only one donut every day.
我每天只吃一个面包圈。
TV is short for television.
be short for “是...的缩写”
Fridge is short for refrigerator.
P.S. is short for postscript(附言).

Step 5.Activity
Work in groups. How many/much ______ do you eat or drink every day? Interview your classmates, then write some tips (Do and Don't) for good health.
e.g.

Step 6.Summary and homework.
Sum up the lesson briefly and review the key points.
