1.so.… that..…的用法
意为“如此……以至于……”引导结果状语从句,so后接形容词或副词。如:
The box is so heavy that I can't move it.这个箱子如此重,以至于我无法移动它。
【拓展]so that引导目的状语从句,意为“以便;为了”,相当于 in order that.
2. I was afraid to ask questions because of my poor pronunciation.我因为发音不好而不敢问问题。

3. although 的用法

discover 指发现原来世上本就存在的事物。
invent 指发明原来世上不存在的事物。
6 look up的用法
意为“(在词典、参考书或通过电脑)查阅;抬头看”,是“动词十副词”型短语。名词作宾语时,放在look和 up之间或之后均可;代词作宾语时,只能放在look和 up之间。如:
