教材分析
本课是四川教育出版社出版的《英语》四年级上册的第二单元Unit 2
Lesson 4 What’s for your breakfast ? 本课主要围绕询问一日三餐的膳食展开。本课教学内容涉及到学生喜爱的食物以及学会后怎样用英语去询问他人喜爱的膳食,帮助学生建立健康饮食的概念,所以很容易激起学生的兴趣。
本课时是第一课时,属于词汇语法教学,但更注重于采取不同的方式让学生在PPT,老师的引导和板书的提示下,知道怎样询问他人的一日三餐以及喜爱的食物。通过歌曲,图片以及情景对话,自然导入本课的核心词汇及语法知识点,并为本课第二课时的对话教学做铺垫。
学情分析
本校学生主要来自城乡结合部,在家接触英语机会有限。六年级的学生有了一定的英语知识的积累,但随着年龄的增长和教材难度的增加,学生的学习兴趣和课堂积极性稍有减弱。所以我们更着重于培养学生自我学习的能力和习惯,能从内激发学生的学习兴趣,让他们感到学能致用,体会到能自我学习的成功感而不仅仅是用英语课堂丰富的游戏来刺激学生。
设计思路
本课通过讨论早餐,午餐及晚餐吃什么这一情景,帮助学生建立健康饮食的概念。教学句型“What’s for your breakfast ?”。同时复习“I like…”和食物类单词。这个看起来简单的教学内容却具有迷惑性,不能单纯的教单词、教语法;也不能重视了老师的讲而忽视了学生的自主学习。所以在以往的教学模式下做了修改,由在老师的引导帮助下找到了自主学习的动力及成功感;从听、说、读、写等方面多方位的训练学生初步综合运用语言的能力。
教学目标
知识与技能目标:
能听懂会说本课词汇:tomato、potato、candy、noodles,并理解词义,同时会整体认读。
学习怎样询问他人的一日三餐“What’s for your…?”及喜爱的食物。
能力目标:
通过老师的引导和帮助,能应用本课已学词汇和句型谈论三餐所吃食物。学生具有自主学习及综合运用语言的能力。
情感目标:
通过本课的学习知道什么是健康的膳食,什么是不健康的膳食,并建立健康合理的饮食概念。
教学重点:
能听懂会说本课单词tomato、potato、candy and noodles。并能理解词义,同时要求会整体认读。
教学难点:
单词tomato、potato、candy的复数形式及其读音;句型“What’s for your…?”及其应用。
教具和学具:
本课所涉及食物单词的卡片,实物,多媒体,PPT,磁铁, 食物图片,卡片等。
七、教学过程:
Stage1: Greeting.
Stage2: Warming-up and Reviewing.
Sing the song 《Like and Love》
Brain Storm—review the words about food and the sentence pattern: I like…(bread, milk, chicken, fish, meat, vegetables, soup, rice, eggs, fruit.)
Stage3: Presentation and Practice.
1. Teach new sentence pattern: What’s for your…? …/ I like…
Lead out new sentence pattern with “What time is it ?”
2. When teaching the new sentence pattern, teaching “noodles” with pictures at the same time.
3. Do the practice on page22.
4. Look and say.
Practice “ What’s for your breakfast / lunch ? And the answer : …” with old words.
Let’s learn:
Firstly, taking on new words “ tomato, potato” with guessing game, pictures and real objects. Then, teaching and practicing them in different methods. After that, asking kids to write down “ tomatoes, potatoes” on their books. At last, reading again.
Work in pairs:
Work in pairs to practicing new sentences patterns : “What’s for your breakfast/ lunch/ dinner ? with new words and old words.” Then, asking them to share. If the students’ answers are great, the teacher give them some candies. From that, leading out “candy” and candies; After that, teaching and practicing. Finally, asking them to write “ candies” on the books.
Play a game to consolidate new words.
Showing the cards about new words quickly, asking students to speak.
Stage4: Production.
Make a little survey.
Stage5: Summary.
Stage6: Emotion education.
Stage7: Homework.
Stage8: Make a summary about the PK.
Stage9: Say goodbye.
