教学难点: How to ask and answer: Is this\that\it a ... ? Are these\those ... ? Read "let's talk"by themselves.
教学准备: PPT, tapes, a jack-o'-lantern.
教学过程:
step1. Greetings
T: Hello,boys and girls. S: Hello,Miss....
Step 2. Leading in and review.
T: What’s this? What’s that?
S: It’s a ...
(复习 This and That 为接下来的句型学习做好铺垫。)
T: There are three groups in our class. So ,I will divide three teams.
Red team, yellow team, blue team.
T: red team (大声喊) yellow team, blue team.
S: Yes! (配合肢体动作)
(分成红黄蓝三队为了激发学生学习的竞争意识,课堂学习气氛更好。)
Step 3. Presentation of the new words and target language.
T: Boys and girls, please look at this picture. Can you guess what is it?
(show a picture about Halloween on the screen)
S1: This is a ghost. T: Is this a ghost.? Is this a cat?
S2: Yes, it is . No, it isn't.
T: teach: ghost. (配合做游戏的方式完成) T: high voice. S: low voice.
T: 做手势,当老师手停止运动时,S: 学生就应该停止读单词,谁继续读,就要挨炸弹。
T: follow follow me , ghost、ghosts、Is this a ghost?
S: follow follow you . then, chant it.
T: There is a gujie in China. Do you know? Ss: Yes , that is 中元节。
T: when is中元节? S: It’s in July 15th.
T: also , There is a guijie in western country .Do you know ?
S: 万圣节. T: That is Halloween.(展示图片,并点读单词的发音) (同时揭示课文标题,教读Halloween)
T: When is Halloween? S:......
T: It’s in October 31th. Can you tell me something about Halloween?
S: 巫婆、南瓜、鬼…
(多种操练模式,尽可能地提高学习兴趣,从中元节自然引入到了万圣节,为接下来的教学做出铺垫。)
T: oh, You know so many! (出示图片)
Look at this picture: What’s this?
S: It’s a 巫婆. T: This is a witch
T: Sentence patterns: Is this a witch?
S: Yes, it is.
T: follow follow me , witch witch Is this a witch?(同时还可以用唱歌的方式把句子唱出来)
(用歌曲以及chant 的方式教句子能更吸引学生。)
S: follow follow you . chant it.
T: Use the same way to teach words.
T: What’s that?(出示图片)
S: That is a 南瓜. Then, teach pumpkin
T: What can it be made of? (重读be made of两次),then, take out a picture. That is a jack-o'-lantern . 教读jack-o'-lantern。
出示一个真的杰克灯,Is that a jack-o'-lantern?
S: Yes, it is.
T: What is made of? (再次重读made of两次)
S: 在教师的带领下回答:It is made of pumpkin.(学生挨个回答)
T: Use the same way to teach “clown”.
Step4 practice and chant.
T: We learned so many new words. Can you remember? Let’s practice.
(图片一瞬间出现) Who can answer the first?
Is this/ it/ that a ….?
S: This/It/ That is a ….( 谁先说对就给加分)
(瞬间出现的单词图片能较强学生对新单词的认知能力,而且也是在问句中复习了新单词。)
T: After finished, chant it (出示例图)
pumpkin、pumpkin、Is this/it a pumpkin?
Ss: Follow me. Then, chant it with new words.( 小组内完成)
Then ,show their chant.
设计意图:chant的练习在小组内完成,同时配合练习句型又提高学生的兴趣。
Step5 Let’s talk.
Ss try to read this lesson and understand its meaning.
(通过前面大量的学习,相信学生能在没听录音前读完课文,并且培养了学生自我学习的能力。)
Step 6 . Homework
Now, it is your homework. First, please finish the exercise on page 39. I will check it next class. Then, try to make a jack-o'-lantern. OK, class is over.
