because引导的原因状语从句
①It took him an hour to get to the station because he got lost.

语法概述：because是从属连词，意为"因为"，because引导的从句常在句中作原因状语，表示直接的原因或理由。
考向①because引导原因状语从句的用法
（1）because引导的原因状语从句多置于主句之后，有时也可放在主句之前。
We stayed at home because it rained.因为下雨了，所以我们待在家里。
Because I was ill,I didn't go to school.因为生病了，所以我没有去上学。
（2）because 与 because of的区别
①because作连词，用于引导从句。
We didn't go for a picnic because it was rainy.
因为下雨了，所以我们没有去野餐。
②because of为短语介词，后面跟名词、代词或动名词，还可接wh-型从句。
We didn't go for a picnic because of the heavy rain.
因为下大雨了，所以我们没有去野餐。
（3）在英语中，because(因为）和so(所以）不能连用，两者只能用其一。
Tom was late for school because he didn't catch the early bus.
=Tom didn't catch the early bus, so he was late for school.
因为汤姆没有赶上早班车，所以他上学迟到了。

考向②because,since,as,for表示原因时的区别
（1）because因为,用于引导原因状语从句，语气最强，表示直接原因，还可用于回答why引出的特殊疑问句。
Because it was rainy,he went home immediately.因为下雨了，所以他马上回家了。
（2）since因为，既然,侧重于主句，从句表示显然的或已知的理由，通常放在主句前。
Since everybody is here,let's begin. 既然大家都来了，咱们开始吧。
（3）as由于，因为,主从句并重，从句说明原因，主句说明结果。从句表示的原因是双方已知的或显而易见的事实。
As you weren't there,I left a message.因为你不在那里，所以我留了个信儿。
（4）for因为,for为并列连词，用于连接并列分句，不位于句首。for后的分句并不说明前一分句谓语动作发生的直接原因，只是提供一些有助于说明情况的补充说明。
He might be ill,for he didn't come to school today.
他可能生病了，因为他今天没来上学。
