Oh,
Jonathan,

you.
M:Yes,
Mrs

W:Jonathan,
why
didn't
you
answer
any
questions
on
the

M:Oh,
I'm
sorry,
Mrs
Fenway,
but
I
read
the

last
night.
W:Oh,
I
see.
But
why
didn't
you
read
the
right
chapter
after
you
looked
at
the
questions?
M:Well,
I
had
to
do
too
much
other
homework
last
night.
W:And
why
were
you
late
this
morning?
M:Oh,
I
had
to
walk
to
school
because
the
bus
got
a
flat

W:Oh,
I'm
sorry
to
hear
that,
Jonathan.
Well,
hurry
to
your
next

or
you'll

M:I
will,

W:How
important
are
friends
to
you,
Bill?
M:That's
a
kind
of
strange
question
for
this
setting.
Don't
you
think
so?
W:Well,
the
teacher
hasn't
come
in
yet,
class
hasn't
begun,
and
I
was
just
wondering
about
it.
So,
what
do
you
think
about
friends?
M:I've
never
regarded
them
as
particularly
important.
Perhaps
that's
because
I
come
from
a
big
family—two
brothers,
three
sisters
and
lots
of
cousins.
That's
what's
really
important
to
me.
What
about
you?
W:My
situation,
you
know,
is
different,
so
I
have
different
ideas.
To
me
friendship
is
the
most
important
thing
in
life.
It's
more
important
even
than
love.
If
you
love
someone,
you
can
always
fall
out
of
love
again,
and
that
can
lead
to
a
lot
of
hurt
feelings
and
bitterness.
But
a
good
friend
is
a
friend
for
life.

M:Let's
discuss
your
educational
background.
You
were
an
English
major,
weren't
you?
W:Yes.
That's
right.
But
I
liked
French
best.
M:Fine.
And
could
you
tell
me
what
kind
of
work
experience
you've
had?
W:My
last
position
was
with
Loomis
and
Martin.
That
was
from
2005
to
2009.
That's
a
law
firm
in
Sacramento.
Before
that
I
worked
for
Biship
and
Baldwin.
That
was
from
2003
to
2005.
M:Could
you
tell
me
what
kind
of
salary
you
are
expecting?
W:Well,
in
my
last
job
I
was
making
$
1,500
a
month.
I
understand
that
this
position
has
a
starting
salary
of
around
$1,600
a
month.
M:That's
right.
W:That
would
be
fine
with
me.
What
I
care
about
most
is
if
the
company
provides
opportunities
for
further
education.
M:Yes,
our
employees
are
allowed
to
take
up
to
six
hours
a
week
at
full
pay
to
attend

courses.

Venice,
a
small
waterside
city
in
northeast
Italy,
boils
with
happiness
and
excitement
once
every
year.
Between
February
21
and
March
4,
carnival(狂欢节)
hits
the
streets.
For
most
people,
carnival
means
large
parties
and
feasts
(盛宴).
But
in
Venice,
it
also
means
traditional
masks
and
clothes.
These
costumes
were
first
meant
to
hide
personal
identities.Then,
different
social
classes
could
mix
in
a
sea
of
happiness.
Along
the
waterways,
people
greeted
each
other
with
“Good
morning
Ms
Mask!”
Today,
people
in
Venice
still
dress
up
in
the
strangest
ways—as
armed
soldiers,
butchers
and
fishermen,
for
example.
Bars
and
cafes
are
filled
with
party?goers
who
come
to
show
off
their
beautiful
clothes.
Their
designs
and
creations
are
made
by
special
studios.
Ready?made
costumes
are
not
acceptable.
“In
the
months
before
the
carnival
we
work
overtime
to
meet
the
demand.”
said
a
mask?maker.
“Many
kilometres
of
silk
and
lace
(花边)
are
made
into
costumes.
For
shopkeepers,
carnival
is
the
best
time
of
a
year.”
The
Venice
carnival
dates
back
to
the
Middle
Ages.
At
that
time,
the
city
was
one
of
the
wealthiest
in
Europe.
The
tradition
of
celebrating
with
masks
and
costumes
is
thought
to
have
been
started
by
the
“Stocking
Companies”.
These
were
groups
of
young
men
who
organized
parties
and
festivals
and
wore
colourful
stockings
to
distinguish
(区分)
themselves.
By
the
18th
century,
the
carnival
had
reached
its
top.
It
all
came
to
an
end
when
Napoleon
controlled
Venice
in
1797.
But
in
1979,
local
people
brought
the
old
traditions
back
to
life.
Now
the
Venice
carnival
attracts
huge
crowds
from
all
over
the
world.
This
year,
about
700,000
people
are
taking
part.
Hotels
were
fully
booked
months
in
advance,
and
bars
and
restaurants
overflow
every
day.
The
city
certainly
benefits—a
whole
industry
has
been
built
up
around
the
carnival's
masks
and
clothes.
“The

It's

said

哥伦布日,又称哥伦比亚日,是一些美洲国家的节日,纪念克里斯托弗·哥伦布在北美登陆,为美国的联邦假日。哥伦布日为10月的第二个星期一。
31.C 解析:根据空处前面一句中的关键词
federal
holiday
可知C项符合语境。
32.B 解析:空处起着承上启下的作用,上文提到“哥伦布认为他可以从欧洲向西航行穿过大西洋到达远东”,下文提到“他认为世界很小,没有想象到在欧洲和东亚之间还有一个洲和一个海洋”,故B项符合题意。
33.E 解析:依据空处后面的句意“那就是他把住在那些岛上的人们称为印第安人的原因”及关键词
Indians
可知E项符合语境。
34.F 解析:根据空处后面句子中的关键信息
He
saw...及
During
his
trips...可以推断出F项符合语境。
35.A 解析:根据上下文结构及内容可知,前一句用了否定句,后一句含有表示转折关系的
yet,所以空处也应是一个否定句,故A项符合语境。

第二节:概要写作(满分25分)
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
When
we
do
the
same
movements
with
our
bodies
over
and
over
again,
we
overuse
some
muscles.
And
the
overuse
can
lead
to
strain
and
injury.
Sometimes
those
problems
can
come
from
doing
sports.
But
exercise
professionals
say
they
are
now
seeing
another
cause
for
muscle
problems:
hand?held
technology
devices.
Staring
down
at
your
phone
or
tablet
for
long
periods
of
time
puts
great
tension
on
your
neck
and
spine.
Many
people
who
use
tech
devices
also
hunch
their
shoulders
forward.
Experts
say
this
posture
puts
strain
on
the
entire
upper
body.
Muscle
strain
linked
to
hand?held
technology
has
become
such
a
common
condition
that
it
now
has
a
name:
tech
neck.
Kimberly
Fielding,
an
exercise
teacher
in
New
York
City,
explains
that
constantly
looking
down
at
our
devices
creates
an
unnatural
curve
in
our
spine.
This
can
cause
nerve
pain
and
other
problems.
A
lot
of
the
curves
of
the
neck
can
change,
so
instead
of
the
cervical
spine
going
inward,
the
curve
can
be
a
little
bit
different
and
it
causes
nerve
pain
and
hernia
(疝气)
and
different
muscle
tension
headaches—different
things
that
really
can
reduce
the
quality
of
life.
How
do
you
know
if
you
have
“tech
neck”?
Common
symptoms
of
“tech
neck”
are
neck
pain,
loss
of
feelings
in
your
hands
and
fingers,
headaches—both
mild
and
severe—and
poor
posture.
In
the
worst
cases
of
tech
neck,
you
can
lose
the
strength
in
your
hands
and
fingers.
Fielding
noticed
that
many
of
her
clients
were
coming
to
her
for
help
with
this
“forward
head
posture”.
So,
she
created
a
class
to
directly
address
the
problem
of
tech
neck.
The
class
uses
different
exercises
to
release
tension
in
the
upper
body
and
strengthen
back
and
neck
muscles.
The
class
also
works
on
breathing
and
posture.
For
a
quick
fix,
Fielding
has
a
simple
suggestion—hold
your
phone
at
eye
level.
What
can
you
do?
However,
you
don't
need
to
take
a
class
like
Fielding's.
You
can
take
simple
steps
to
improve
tech
neck.
Take
breaks
from
using
your
technology.
Stand
up
and
stretch
your
legs
often.
Also,
give
your
eyes
a
break
by
closing
them
occasionally
throughout
the
day.
Move
your
eyes
to
the
screen,
not
your
neck,
head
or
shoulders.

Venice,
a
small
waterside
city
in
northeast
Italy,
boils
with
happiness
and
excitement
once
every
year.
Between
February
21
and
March
4,
carnival(狂欢节)
hits
the
streets.
For
most
people,
carnival
means
large
parties
and
feasts
(盛宴).
But
in
Venice,
it
also
means
traditional
masks
and
clothes.
These
costumes
were
first
meant
to
hide
personal
identities.Then,
different
social
classes
could
mix
in
a
sea
of
happiness.
Along
the
waterways,
people
greeted
each
other
with
“Good
morning
Ms
Mask!”
Today,
people
in
Venice
still
dress
up
in
the
strangest
ways—as
armed
soldiers,
butchers
and
fishermen,
for
example.
Bars
and
cafes
are
filled
with
party?goers
who
come
to
show
off
their
beautiful
clothes.
Their
designs
and
creations
are
made
by
special
studios.
Ready?made
costumes
are
not
acceptable.
“In
the
months
before
the
carnival
we
work
overtime
to
meet
the
demand.”
said
a
mask?maker.
“Many
kilometres
of
silk
and
lace
(花边)
are
made
into
costumes.
For
shopkeepers,
carnival
is
the
best
time
of
a
year.”
The
Venice
carnival
dates
back
to
the
Middle
Ages.
At
that
time,
the
city
was
one
of
the
wealthiest
in
Europe.
The
tradition
of
celebrating
with
masks
and
costumes
is
thought
to
have
been
started
by
the
“Stocking
Companies”.
These
were
groups
of
young
men
who
organized
parties
and
festivals
and
wore
colourful
stockings
to
distinguish
(区分)
themselves.
By
the
18th
century,
the
carnival
had
reached
its
top.
It
all
came
to
an
end
when
Napoleon
controlled
Venice
in
1797.
But
in
1979,
local
people
brought
the
old
traditions
back
to
life.
Now
the
Venice
carnival
attracts
huge
crowds
from
all
over
the
world.
This
year,
about
700,000
people
are
taking
part.
Hotels
were
fully
booked
months
in
advance,
and
bars
and
restaurants
overflow
every
day.
The
city
certainly
benefits—a
whole
industry
has
been
built
up
around
the
carnival's
masks
and
clothes.
“The
Venice
carnival
is
a
magical
time!
It's
such
great
experience,”
said
one
French
tourist.

第二节:概要写作(满分25分)
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
When
we
do
the
same
movements
with
our
bodies
over
and
over
again,
we
overuse
some
muscles.
And
the
overuse
can
lead
to
strain
and
injury.
Sometimes
those
problems
can
come
from
doing
sports.
But
exercise
professionals
say
they
are
now
seeing
another
cause
for
muscle
problems:
hand?held
technology
devices.
Staring
down
at
your
phone
or
tablet
for
long
periods
of
time
puts
great
tension
on
your
neck
and
spine.
Many
people
who
use
tech
devices
also
hunch
their
shoulders
forward.
Experts
say
this
posture
puts
strain
on
the
entire
upper
body.
Muscle
strain
linked
to
hand?held
technology
has
become
such
a
common
condition
that
it
now
has
a
name:
tech
neck.
Kimberly
Fielding,
an
exercise
teacher
in
New
York
City,
explains
that
constantly
looking
down
at
our
devices
creates
an
unnatural
curve
in
our
spine.
This
can
cause
nerve
pain
and
other
problems.
A
lot
of
the
curves
of
the
neck
can
change,
so
instead
of
the
cervical
spine
going
inward,
the
curve
can
be
a
little
bit
different
and
it
causes
nerve
pain
and
hernia
(疝气)
and
different
muscle
tension
headaches—different
things
that
really
can
reduce
the
quality
of
life.
How
do
you
know
if
you
have
“tech
neck”?
Common
symptoms
of
“tech
neck”
are
neck
pain,
loss
of
feelings
in
your
hands
and
fingers,
headaches—both
mild
and
severe—and
poor
posture.
In
the
worst
cases
of
tech
neck,
you
can
lose
the
strength
in
your
hands
and
fingers.
Fielding
noticed
that
many
of
her
clients
were
coming
to
her
for
help
with
this
“forward
head
posture”.
So,
she
created
a
class
to
directly
address
the
problem
of
tech
neck.
The
class
uses
different
exercises
to
release
tension
in
the
upper
body
and
strengthen
back
and
neck
muscles.
The
class
also
works
on
breathing
and
posture.
For
a
quick
fix,
Fielding
has
a
simple
suggestion—hold
your
phone
at
eye
level.
What
can
you
do?
However,
you
don't
need
to
take
a
class
like
Fielding's.
You
can
take
simple
steps
to
improve
tech
neck.
Take
breaks
from
using
your
technology.
Stand
up
and
stretch
your
legs
often.
Also,
give
your
eyes
a
break
by
closing
them
occasionally
throughout
the
day.
Move
your
eyes
to
the
screen,
not
your
neck,
head
or
shoulders.
