M:How
long
does
it
take
you
to
go
to
work?
W:Well,
it's
15
minutes'
walk
from
my
house
to
the
railway
station,
and
it
takes
another
30
minutes
to
get
to
my
office.

W:Excuse
me,
please.
Could
you
tell
me
the
way
to
the
Post
Building?
M:Go
for
5
blocks
down
the
street
and
turn
right.
The
Post
Building
is
on
the
right,
opposite
the
Bank
Building.

W:Which
is
your
favorite
TV
channel?
M:I
like
to
watch
the
sports
channel,
ESPN.
W:Don't
you
watch
any
other
channels?
M:Sometimes
I
also
watch
Discovery,
History
and
some
news
channels.

M:Was
there
anything
valuable
in
the
missing
bag,
Madam?
W:Yes,
my
purse
and
my

Luckily
I
was
using
my
mobile
phone
at
the
time.
M:Anything
else?
W:No,
nothing
else.

M:How
long
have
you
been
in

W:It
started
to
hurt
when
I
was
eating

M:Open

Mm,
it's
quite
serious.
I'm

we'll
have
to
pull
the

M:Hello,
Mary.
Is
it
true
you're
going
to
leave
us?
W:Maybe,
but
it
still
depends
on
Jack.
If
he
gets
the
job,
then
we'll
have
to
move
to
Boswell.
M:You're
going
to
miss
Highland
Park,
aren't
you?
W:Oh,
definitely.
But
it's
a
much
greater
opportunity
for
Jack.
His
salary
will
be
much
higher.
Also,
there
are
better
schools
for
the
children.
The
town
itself
isn't
half
as
nice
as
Highland
Park,
though.
M:Are
you
going
to
stop
working?
W:I
may
get
a
job
as
a
teacher.
There's
a
new
high
school
in
Boswell,
and
they're
looking
for
teachers.

W:Pink.
It's
my
favorite
color.
Look!
How
do
I
look
in
this
new
dress?
M:You
look
beautiful.
This
is
a
lovely
dress
and
it's
the
latest
fashion.
W:Thank
you.
M:But
you'd
better
buy
a
pair
of
shoes
to
go
with
this
dress.
W:Could
you
show
me
some
blouses?
M:What
size?
W:I
take
a
medium
size.
M:How
do
you
like
this
one?
It's
nice
and
cheap.
It's
only
34
dollars.
W:Have
you
got
anything
cheaper?
M:Sorry,
I
think
that's
the
cheapest.
W:May
I
try
it
on?
M:Yes,
you
can.
The
fitting
room
is
right
over
there.
W:All
right.
I
think
I'll
take
this
one.

W:What's
the
accommodation
like
in
London,
Ahmed?
M:Well,
it's
a
bit
difficult.
There
are
thousands
of
overseas
students
here,
you
know.
W:Would
it
be
better
to
stay
in
a
hotel,
to
share
a
flat
or
to
stay
with
a
family?
M:It
would
probably
be
better
to
stay
with
a
family
to
begin
with,
Carla.
W:You
wouldn't
recommend
sharing
a
flat?
M:No,
I
wouldn't
move
into
a
flat,
if
I
were
you.
You
won't
get
much
studying
done
in
a
flat.
You'll
spend
half
your
time
cooking
and
cleaning.
W:How
can
I
find
out
families
who
take
in
students?
M:There's
a
list
at
the
Student
Union
Building.
The
people
at
the
student
union
should
be
able
to
help
you
find
a
family
to
stay
with.

M:I'd
like
to
put

W:A

M:Yes.
I
want
to
sell
my
furniture.
I'm
moving.
W:I
see.
May
I
have
your
name,
please?
M:Bill
Martin.
W:M?A?R?T?I?N.
And
your
address?
M:The
Garden
Apartment
on
Books
Road.
W:Well,
the
price
depends
on
the
size,
not
on
the
words.
So,
if
you
want
to
use
shorter
words,that
might
save
you
some
money.
M:Oh,
that's
a
good
idea.
I
have
written
everything
out
here,
but
I'll
just
check
it
over
before
I
give
it
to
you.
Maybe
I
should
use
phrases
instead
of
sentences.
W:Would
you
like
to
pay
cash
or
by
credit
card?
M:I'll
probably
be
gone
before
a
bill
could
be
sent.
I'm
going
to
pay
cash.
W:Okay.
You
can
use
that
table.
Just
bring
it
back
to
me
when
you
are
ready.

Today
I
will
make
a
speech
on
zoos.
Many
people
think
zoos
are
cruel
and
have
no
place
in
the
modern
world.
It
is
my
own
opinion
that
zoos,
although
not
perfect,
do
have
a
useful
function.
Firstly,
zoos
are
places
of
education.
Zoos
can
help
children
to
appreciate
nature.
Furthermore,research
into
animal
behavior
is
done
in
zoos
and
has
increased
our
knowledge
of
zoology,genetics
and
even
psychology.
Above
all,
zoos
can
protect
the
future
of
many
species
of
animals.Many
species
today
are
in
danger
of
distinction.
And
thanks
to
zoos,
they
have
a
chance
of
survival.
Opponents
of
zoos
say
that
they
are
cruel.
First
of
all,
they
argue
zoos
cannot
recreate
the
environment
in
which
animals
live
and
because
of
this,
animals
are
bored
into
depression.Secondly,
in
zoos
animals
have
frequent
contact
with
human
visitors,
which
can
be
stressful.However,
in
my
opinion,
most
zoos
have
improved
recently.
It
is
now
quite
rare
to
see
animals
in
cages,
and
most
zoos
try
hard
to
recreate
the
environments
in
which
different
animals
live.
In
conclusion,
although
zoos
are
not
a
perfect
environment
for
animals,
I
believe
that
they
have
more
advantages
than
disadvantages.
In
an
ideal
world,
zoos
would
not
be
necessary,
but
as
long
as
man
hunts
animals
for
profit
and
destroys
their
environments,
zoos
are
essential.

第二部分 阅读理解(共两节,满分35分)
第一节:(共10小题;每小题2.5分,满分25分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。
A
Megan
I'm
based
in
Bahrain,
and
I
have
a
small
apartment
there.
The
thing
I
like
most
about
my
job
is
the
chance
to
meet
people
from
different
cultures.
I
spend
a
lot
of
my
time
handing
out
food
and
drinks
and
clearing
up
people's
rubbish.
I
certainly
don't
feel
very
excited
about
going
home
at
two
in
the
morning!
Frank
I
enjoy
playing
around
with
word
puzzles.
So
I
sent
a
couple
in
to
a
local
newspaper
and
was
really
surprised
when
they
asked
me
for
more.
I
suppose
it
is
a
strange
way
to
spend
your
day
surrounded
by
dictionaries
and
books,
but
it's
great
because
I'm
just
doing
what
I
like.
Gemma
I
love
music
and
listen
to
it
all
the
time,
even
when
I
go
jogging
(慢跑).
As
for
my
job—you
really
can't
be
shy
in
this
kind
of
work,
and
you
have
to
be
very
patient
because
sometimes
we
practise
for
hours
before
we
get
it
right.
When
we're
on
tour,
we
work
for
several
weeks
with
no
breaks
and
you
can
get
really
tired.
For
relaxation,
whenever
I
get
a
holiday,
I
go
straight
to
a
sunny
beach.
Raoul
Most
people
think
I
spend
my
day
chopping
(切)
vegetables
and
washing
dishes,
but
it's
not
that
simple.
I
have
to
be
really
careful
with
the
food
and
keep
everything
very
clean.
The
biggest
problem
is
my
boss—he
shouts
at
me
all
the
time—even,
for
example,
if
I
forget
to
wash
up
one
plate.
Actually,
I'm
hoping
to
find
a
new
job
soon
because
I
don't
get
much
time
off.

postal
carrier
“Mailman
Mike”
from
his
4?and?a?half?year?old
friend
Carter
Lawson—or

them
from
their
appointments.
For
the
past
nine
months,
the
two
have
teamed
up
every
day
in
the
preschooler's
Knoxville
neighborhood
for
a
few
minutes
of
delivering
mail
together
and
chatting
with
fellow
neighbors.
Lawson
wants
to
be
a
mail
carrier
when
he
grows
up,
and
in
an
inspiring
story,
his
mom
told
us
how
mailman
Mike
Crenshaw
has
been
a
role
model
to
her
son.
“Anyone
could
just
be
like
‘Go
away,
kid’,
but
Mike
has
really
gone
out
of
his
way
to
talk
with
Carter,”
said
Cassie
Lawson
of
the
United
States
Postal
Service
carrier.
Little
Carter
even
got
his
own
uniform
to
match
Mike's.
“It's
been
really
cute.
I
just
couldn't
believe
he
got
a
full
mailman's
costume,”
the
postal
service
employee
said.
“Every
letter
carrier
has
stops
he
looks
forward
to
and
this
is
the
one
I
look
forward
to
every
day,”
said
Mike.
“He's
the
end
of
my
day,
and
the
best
part
of
my
day.
Not
because
it's
the
end,
but
because
he's
such
a
cute
little
guy.”
The
man
and
the
little
boy's
connection
isn't
a
surprise
to
Fredric
Rolando,
president
of
the
National
Association
of
Letter
Carriers.
“Kids
respond
to
mailmen
because
letter
carriers
are
a
friendly,
uniformed
part
of
the
neighborhood
who
bring
something
to
their
house
every
day,
and
are
someone
they
come
to

and

Rolando
said.
“It's
the
same
for

elderly,
but
in
addition,
letter
carriers
may
be
the
only
person
they
communicate
with
all
day.”

of

第二节:概要写作(满分25分)
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
Once
upon
a
time,
there
lived
a
slave
called
Androcles
who
was
yearning
to
be
set
free
by
his
master
since
he
was
treating
him
badly.
So
Androcles
hatched
a
plan
and
escaped
into
a
nearby
forest.
After
he
had
traveled
a
while
Androcles
suddenly
heard
a
roar
behind
him
and
found
a
lion
standing
close
by.
He
was
sure
the
lion
was
going
to
kill
him.
But
instead
the
lion
slowly
limped
towards
him
and
held
out
its
paw.
There
was
a
thorn
stuck
to
its
paw
and
there
was
a
lot
of
blood
oozing
out.
Androcles
removed
the
thorn
and
the
lion
walked
away
peacefully
into
the
forest.
After
a
few
days
Androcles
was
captured
by
his
master
who
was
so
angry
because
he
had
run
away.
The
master
decided
to
throw
Androcles
to
a
lion.
This
was
a
common
practice
in
ancient
Greece
where
the
slaves
were
often
thrown
into
an
arena
to
fight
a
starving
lion.
The
next
day
a
huge
crowd
gathered
to
watch
the
fight.
The
king
was
also
present.
A
lion
that
had
been
starved
for
a
number
of
days
was
brought
into
the
arena
in
a
cage.
As
soon
as
Androcles
was
brought
in,
the
guards
let
the
lion
out
of
the
cage.
Androcles
was
trembling
in
fear
as
the
lion
rushed
at
him
with
great
rage.
Much
to
the
astonishment
of
the
crowd,
the
lion
suddenly
stopped
in
its
path,
looked
intently
at
Androcles
and
then
went
and
lay
down
near
his
feet.
Androcles
was
delighted
as
he
realized
that
it
was
the
same
lion
as
he
had
helped
in
the
forest.
He
hugged
the
lion
as
the
entire
arena
watched
in
stunned
silence.
The
king
was
overjoyed
at
seeing
such
a
brave
act
and
permitted
Androcles
to
be
freed.
When
he
entered
the
arena,
Androcles
thought
that
he
was
a
dead
man
but
the
turn
of
events
ensured
the
opposite—his
freedom.

第二部分 阅读理解(共两节,满分35分)
第一节:(共10小题;每小题2.5分,满分25分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。
A
Megan
I'm
based
in
Bahrain,
and
I
have
a
small
apartment
there.
The
thing
I
like
most
about
my
job
is
the
chance
to
meet
people
from
different
cultures.
I
spend
a
lot
of
my
time
handing
out
food
and
drinks
and
clearing
up
people's
rubbish.
I
certainly
don't
feel
very
excited
about
going
home
at
two
in
the
morning!
Frank
I
enjoy
playing
around
with
word
puzzles.
So
I
sent
a
couple
in
to
a
local
newspaper
and
was
really
surprised
when
they
asked
me
for
more.
I
suppose
it
is
a
strange
way
to
spend
your
day
surrounded
by
dictionaries
and
books,
but
it's
great
because
I'm
just
doing
what
I
like.
Gemma
I
love
music
and
listen
to
it
all
the
time,
even
when
I
go
jogging
(慢跑).
As
for
my
job—you
really
can't
be
shy
in
this
kind
of
work,
and
you
have
to
be
very
patient
because
sometimes
we
practise
for
hours
before
we
get
it
right.
When
we're
on
tour,
we
work
for
several
weeks
with
no
breaks
and
you
can
get
really
tired.
For
relaxation,
whenever
I
get
a
holiday,
I
go
straight
to
a
sunny
beach.
Raoul
Most
people
think
I
spend
my
day
chopping
(切)
vegetables
and
washing
dishes,
but
it's
not
that
simple.
I
have
to
be
really
careful
with
the
food
and
keep
everything
very
clean.
The
biggest
problem
is
my
boss—he
shouts
at
me
all
the
time—even,
for
example,
if
I
forget
to
wash
up
one
plate.
Actually,
I'm
hoping
to
find
a
new
job
soon
because
I
don't
get
much
time
off.

Tennessee
postal
carrier
“Mailman
Mike”
from
his
4?and?a?half?year?old
friend
Carter
Lawson—or
keep
them
from
their
appointments.
For
the
past
nine
months,
the
two
have
teamed
up
every
day
in
the
preschooler's
Knoxville
neighborhood
for
a
few
minutes
of
delivering
mail
together
and
chatting
with
fellow
neighbors.
Lawson
wants
to
be
a
mail
carrier
when
he
grows
up,
and
in
an
inspiring
story,
his
mom
told
us
how
mailman
Mike
Crenshaw
has
been
a
role
model
to
her
son.
“Anyone
could
just
be
like
‘Go
away,
kid’,
but
Mike
has
really
gone
out
of
his
way
to
talk
with
Carter,”
said
Cassie
Lawson
of
the
United
States
Postal
Service
carrier.
Little
Carter
even
got
his
own
uniform
to
match
Mike's.
“It's
been
really
cute.
I
just
couldn't
believe
he
got
a
full
mailman's
costume,”
the
postal
service
employee
said.
“Every
letter
carrier
has
stops
he
looks
forward
to
and
this
is
the
one
I
look
forward
to
every
day,”
said
Mike.
“He's
the
end
of
my
day,
and
the
best
part
of
my
day.
Not
because
it's
the
end,
but
because
he's
such
a
cute
little
guy.”
The
man
and
the
little
boy's
connection
isn't
a
surprise
to
Fredric
Rolando,
president
of
the
National
Association
of
Letter
Carriers.
“Kids
respond
to
mailmen
because
letter
carriers
are
a
friendly,
uniformed
part
of
the
neighborhood
who
bring
something
to
their
house
every
day,
and
are
someone
they
come
to
recognize
and
trust,”
Rolando
said.
“It's
the
same
for
the
elderly,
but
in
addition,
letter
carriers
may
be
the
only
person
they
communicate
with
all
day.”

Five
Easy
Ways
to
Start
a
Diet
I
just
wrote
the
word
“diet”
in
the
title
so
you'd
know
what
I
was
talking
about.
As
we
all
know,
so
much
of
what
we
look
like
is
affected
by
what
we
put
in
our
mouths.
Some
people
get
rid
of
stress
by
taking
a
run,
but
most
of
us
would
just
rather
reach
for
a
donut,_a
slice
of
pizza
or
Scotch
and
soda.
I
think
the
food
problem
needs
to
be
solved
simply
and
slowly
so
that
our
way
is
simple
but
realistic
(现实的)
to
our
lives.
Drink
water
in
the
morning.
According
to
studies,
this
could
reduce
20%
of
our
calorie
intake
(摄取量)
and
help
all
of
our
body
functions
run
more
smoothly.
Cut
down
your
food.
I'm
not
even
going
to
say
what
to
eat
and
what
not
to
eat.
I'm
just
saying
if
you
are
eating
your
food
at
lunch,
cut
it
in
half.
It's
difficult
to
do,
so
divide
the
food
into
half
and
get
it
away
from
you.
If
it's
sitting
there,
you
will
want
to
eat
it.
Don't
skip
breakfast.
You
will
have
a
70%
chance
of
overeating
throughout
your
day
if
you
skip
breakfast.
Keep
a
food
journal.
This
will
help
you
see
exactly
what
you
are
eating
and
when
you
are
eating.
You
will
even
be
able
to
see
patterns
of
grabbing
food
at
stressful
moments,
etc.
A
journal
just
makes
you
aware
and
in
charge
of
your
food.
If
you
can
avoid
it,
don't
eat
after
7
pm.
During
business
dinners
or
birthday
gatherings,
you
don't
worry
about
it.
But
when
you
can,
try
to
finish
eating
earlier
in
the
day.

No
matter
how
much
we
try
to
be
smart,
life
has
its
own
ways
of
teaching
us
the
valuable
lessons.
__31__
Here
are
some
of
the
life
lessons
that
all
of
us
learn
the
hard
way:
Lying
is
harmful.
Everyone,
at
some
point
in
life,
must
have
certainly
realized
that
lying
is
a
very
dangerous
thing
for
the
mind,
which
finally
affects
our
health
too.
__32__
And
also
he
would
lose
the
trust
of
others.
Sometimes,
moving
on
is
the
only
choice.
__33__
But
sometimes,
circumstances
and
situations
align
(排整齐)
in
such
a
way
that
it
is
better
to
leave
something
and
move
ahead.
At
times,
it
is
better
to
move
on
with
the
memories,
rather
than
stay
there
and
live
in
a
blank
space
with
no
possible
future.
__34__
It
is
rightly
said
that
to
err
is
human.
We
all
are
humans
and
nobody
knows
everything.
So
it
is
fine
to
accept
the
things
that
went
wrong,
and
try
to
avoid
repeating
them
or
doing
wrong
intentionally.
Happiness
is
the
key
to
everything.
__35__
Things
cannot
bring
happiness,
but
happiness
can
bring
many
things
in
life.
And
the
most
important
person
who
should
be
happy
with
you
is
yourself.
If
you
do
not
feel
cheerful
from
the
inside,
you
certainly
cannot
make
others
happy.
A.It
is
natural
to
make
mistakes.
B.Sales
are
not
always
profitable.
C.It
makes
a
man
lose
confidence
and
trust
in
himself.
D.Nothing
in
the
world
would
make
sense
if
you
are
depressed.
E.It
is
always
good
to
be
considerate
about
one's
views
about
things.
F.Though
at
first
we
are
hurt,
we
eventually
learn
from
the
experiences.
G.Some
things
are
dear
to
us,
and
we
cannot
imagine
life
without
them.

第二节:概要写作(满分25分)
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
Once
upon
a
time,
there
lived
a
slave
called
Androcles
who
was
yearning
to
be
set
free
by
his
master
since
he
was
treating
him
badly.
So
Androcles
hatched
a
plan
and
escaped
into
a
nearby
forest.
After
he
had
traveled
a
while
Androcles
suddenly
heard
a
roar
behind
him
and
found
a
lion
standing
close
by.
He
was
sure
the
lion
was
going
to
kill
him.
But
instead
the
lion
slowly
limped
towards
him
and
held
out
its
paw.
There
was
a
thorn
stuck
to
its
paw
and
there
was
a
lot
of
blood
oozing
out.
Androcles
removed
the
thorn
and
the
lion
walked
away
peacefully
into
the
forest.
After
a
few
days
Androcles
was
captured
by
his
master
who
was
so
angry
because
he
had
run
away.
The
master
decided
to
throw
Androcles
to
a
lion.
This
was
a
common
practice
in
ancient
Greece
where
the
slaves
were
often
thrown
into
an
arena
to
fight
a
starving
lion.
The
next
day
a
huge
crowd
gathered
to
watch
the
fight.
The
king
was
also
present.
A
lion
that
had
been
starved
for
a
number
of
days
was
brought
into
the
arena
in
a
cage.
As
soon
as
Androcles
was
brought
in,
the
guards
let
the
lion
out
of
the
cage.
Androcles
was
trembling
in
fear
as
the
lion
rushed
at
him
with
great
rage.
Much
to
the
astonishment
of
the
crowd,
the
lion
suddenly
stopped
in
its
path,
looked
intently
at
Androcles
and
then
went
and
lay
down
near
his
feet.
Androcles
was
delighted
as
he
realized
that
it
was
the
same
lion
as
he
had
helped
in
the
forest.
He
hugged
the
lion
as
the
entire
arena
watched
in
stunned
silence.
The
king
was
overjoyed
at
seeing
such
a
brave
act
and
permitted
Androcles
to
be
freed.
When
he
entered
the
arena,
Androcles
thought
that
he
was
a
dead
man
but
the
turn
of
events
ensured
the
opposite—his
freedom.
