2. 能在合适的场景中运用句型 “What are we ” “Are you …”。

Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Warming up:
T: Boys and girls, I suppose you like to play games, yes Ok, today we’ll have a match between Group A and Group B. There are two stars, one is on the left(拼写，个别读) and one is on the right（拼写，齐读）.
Please try to catch the star, OK
Ss: OK!
T: Look, what’s this (T catches an eraser in the hand)
Ss: It’s an eraser.
T: Right. Now look, it’s in my one hand. Guess, left or right
[设计意图：以比赛的活动形式组织课堂教学，学生能激发起高度的参与热情，主动快乐地进入学习状态，竞猜游戏的形式充分调动了每个层次学生的学习兴趣，一开始就吸引了所有学生的注意力，并自然过渡过下个环节的教学。]
Step 2: Presentation
T: Congratulations, children. Follow me.
left, right: (听指令伸左右手)
turn left/ right: 顺势通过动作、结合板书教学。Look at me, turn left.
Teach to read the words with action: left, right, turn left, turn right.
Let’s do the exercises. (做操，A、B组展示)
T: You did a very good job. Now, let’s go on our competition: listen and do the action.
Ask 8 students (A B 组各四个) come to the front, listen to the teacher or students’ order and do the action, just as left, right, turn left, turn right.

T: Oh, you are so clever, please walk follow me, left, right, left, right… boys and girls, what are we 　Yes, we look like soldiers.
Teach to read the word: soldiers.
Watch CAI, compare a soldier with soldiers. （板书soldiers）
T: look at the screen, he is a soldier. They are soldiers. （观看阅兵式）
Help the Ss to say We are soldiers. with action. （板书We are …）
Then teach traffic police in the same way. （板书traffic police）
A game: listen and guess.
T: You should listen and point out the words soldiers, traffic police. Then, use the sentences: Are you soldiers/ traffic police Find out the person. (板书Are you… Yes, …)
Teach the sentences: What are we Are you soldiers /traffic police
[设计意图：运用已学知识，自然过渡到What are we Are you…句型教学，又为以后的课文教学打下铺垫，一举两得。]
Open the books and learn the text.
Watch the CD-ROM. T: The students in our book are playing the guessing game too. Let’s watch the CD-ROM.
Listen, point and repeat.
Read and act follow the teacher.
Act the text in groups.

T: When I was young, I want to be a policeman. Now tell your classmate, what do you want to be.
You are very good children, work hard, I believe your dreams will come true. Where there is a will, there is a way. (有志者，事竟成。)
