A
Watching
a
3D
movie
can
more
than
double
the
concentration
powers
and
cognitive
(认知)
processing
of
children,
a
new
research
claims.
A
study
made
by
visual
technology
firm
RealD
and
led
by
child
psychologist
Dr.
Richard
Woolfson
suggests
that
children
aged
between
7
and
14
experienced
twice
the
cognitive
processing
speed
and
performed
better
in
testing
after
watching
20
minutes
of
a
3D
film.
This
is
despite
suggestions
that
attention
spans
(时期)
in
children
have
shortened
in
the
last
decade
due
to
unlimited
access
to
entertainment,
including
on?demand
TV,
gaming
and
social
media.
A
2015
study
claimed
that
watching
3D
content
had
a
similar
effect
to
brain?training
exercises.
Consumer
psychologist
Mr.
Fagan
said
that
the
increased
stimulation
(刺激)
found
in
watching
something
in
3D
“exercised”
the
brain
and
improved
performance
in
the
short
term.
“3D
films
can
play
the
role
of
‘brain?training’
games
and
help
to
make
children
‘smarter’
in
the
short
term,”
he
said.
“The
shortening
of
response
time
after
watching
3D
was
almost
three
times
as
big
as
that
gained
from
watching
2D;
in
other
words,
3D
helps
children
process
aspects
of
their
environment
more
quickly.
This
is
likely
to
be
because
3D
is
a
mentally
stimulating
experience
which
‘gets
the
brain's
juices
flowing’.”
The
experiment
saw
children
given
a
range
of
cognitive
tests
before
watching
20
minutes
of
a
movie
in
either
2D
or
3D
and
being
tested
again.
The
results
showed
those
who
saw
the
3D
content
reacted
faster
and
performed
better
in
the
second
round
of
testing.
Mental
engagement
also
rose
by
13%
among
3D
watchers.
Child
psychologist
Dr.Woolfson
added
that
“supportive
parenting”
and
regularly
listening
to
classical
music
can
also
aid
a
child's
memory.

A
car

Eating
the
right
kind
of
food
is
very
important.
It
can
help
your
body
grow
strong
,
so
take
care
of
what
you
eat.
There
are
four
main
food
groups

The
dairy

food
like
milk,

The
other
three
groups
are
the
meat

group,
the

Watching

In

C.

D.

C
Sometimes
children
do
not
do
what
their
parents
tell
them
to
do.
When
this
happens,
a
parent
tries
to
help
the
child
to
do
the
right
thing.
When
this
does
not
work,
the
parent
usually
punishes
the
child.
There
are
many
things
that
a
parent
can
do.
One
thing
that
people
have
done
is
to
spank
the
child.
When
a
parent
spanks
a
child,
they
will
use
their
hand
or
a
hard
object
to
strike
them
on
their
bottom.
This
is
meant
to
show
the
child
that
they
have
done
something
wrong.
One
parent
remembers
being
spanked
when
he
was
a
child.
His
parents
used
a
wooden
spoon.
When
he
spanked
his
own
children
with
his
hand,
he
saw
that
he
put
a
red
mark
on
his
child's
leg.
He
never
did
that
again.
One
problem
with
spanking
is
that
it
teaches
the
child
to
hit
someone
when
they
do
not
like
what
the
other
person
is
doing.
Another
problem
with
spanking
is
that
the
parent
is
usually
angry
and
can
hit
the
child
too
hard.
Sometimes
parents
will
use
spanking
for
everything
and
not
try
other
ways
to
get
the
child
to
do
the
right
tiling.
Many
parents
are
not
sure
of
what
to
do
instead
of
spanking.
Some
people
think
that
their
religion
tells
them
that
spanking
is
okay.
Some
think
that
the
law
lets
them
do
it.
The
courts
(法院)say
that
parents
have
the
right
to
teach
their
children
how
to
behave.
Other
things
should
be
tried
before
a
parent
decides
to
spank
a
child.
Telling
the
child
exactly
what
is
wanted
from
them
can
be
one
thing.
Giving
a
child
more
than
one
choice
is
another
thing
that
can.
be
tried.
Getting
down
to
the
child's
level
and
taking
a
more
child-friendly
method
can
help
as
well.
8.
According
to
the
passage,
when
children
do
something
wrong,
one
thing
that
parents
usually
do
to
punish
them
is
to
.
A.
strike
them
on
the
bottom
.
B.
try
to
help
them
do
the
right
thing.
C.
teach
them
what
to
do.
D.
take
them
to
court.
9.
Which
of
the
following
is
NOT
the
problem
caused
by
spanking?
A.
It
teaches
the
child
to
hit
others
when
they
offend
him
or
her.
B.
The
parent
may
get
angry
and
hit
the
child
too
hard.
C.
Sometimes
parents
may
use
spanking
for
everything.
D.
It
makes
parents
try
other
ways
to
make
the
child
do
right.
10.
Which
of
the
following
can
best
describe
the
writer's
attitude
towards
spanking?
A.
favorable
(赞同的)
B.
indifferent
(不关心)
C.
interested
D.

that
.
A.
Good
children

the
right

B.
Parents

to

spanking
their
children.

city.
Even
so,
travel
isn't
difficult.
The
waterways
have
always
been
the
best,
way
to
get
around.
There
are
117
waterways
and
more
than
400
bridges
that
can
guide
you
where
you
want
to
go.
People
in
Venice
move
from
place
to
place
by
boat.
Water
makes
the
city
special,
but
it
is
also
a
big
problem.
Sometimes
tourists
will
have
such
strange
experiences.
One
moment
they
walk
across
the
Rialto
Bridge,
arid
there's
nothing
special.
But
when
they
come
back
to
the
bridge
an
hour
later,
it's
underwater
and
everyone
is
wearing
rain
shoes.
Once,
people
used
too
much
underground
water.
This
made
the
city
get
lower
little
by
Now
the
city
has
gone
down
by
23
centimeters.
Another
problem
is
the
rising
seawater.
The
temperature
has
risen
over
the
years.
This
has
made
the
ice
of
the
Arctic
Ocean
(北冰洋)
melt
(融化).Every
year,
high
waters
hit
the
city
in
autumn
and
winter.
When
a
lot
of
water
comes,
more
than
half
of
the
city
is
underwater.
Scientists
are
trying
different
ways
to
stop
the
city
from
getting
even
lower.
The
Italian
government
has
asked
some
of
Italy's
biggest
companies
to
build
the
MOST
project,
which
was
planned
to
be
build
under
the
seawater
to
stop
the
rising
water.
Anyway,
this
project
is
helping
solve
the
problem.

Five
steps
to
better
handwriting
Some
kids
love
handwriting.
but
others
hate
when
it's
time
to
put
their
pen
to
paper.
Maybe
they
are
worried
about
their
handwriting.
Are
you
one
of
them?_16_Here
are
five
steps
that
really
work!
Get
a
correct
grasp
Try
this
---
hold
your
pencil
at
the
top
and
try
to
write
your
name.
Pretty
hard?
But
when
you
hold
your
pencil
the
correct
way,
writing
is
much
easier.
17
Hold
it
in
place
with
your
thumb
(拇指),and
your
index
(食指)and
middle
fingers.
Let
the
lines
be
your
guide
Lined
paper
is
your
friend!
Those
lines
can
help
you
create
letters
that
are
the
right
size
and
proportion
(均衡).18
Also
be
sure
to
fill
up
the
lined
space
completely.
Those
capital
letters
should
be
from
the
bottom
line
to
the
top
one.
Slow
down
If
your
writing
is
hard
to
read,
try
slowing
down
a
little.
If
you
rush,
it's
hard
to
control
where
you
stop
and
start
your
letters.
Lower
the
pressure
19
That
makes
it
harder
to
make
the
smooth
lines.
Try
easing
up
and
don't
hold
the
pencil
too
tightly.
40
Lots
of
games
require
you
to
write
or
draw
pictures.
So
even
though
ifs
not
schoolwork,
you're
still
using
the
skills
you
need
to
control
your
pen
better.
A.
So
"a”
should
be
half
the
height
of
a
capital
"A”.
B.
You've
been
writing
since
you
were
a
little
kid.
C.
Some
kids
press
down
really
hard
when
they
write.
D.
The
good
news
is
that
just
about
everyone
can
improve
their
handwriting.
E.
The
best
way
to
hold
a
pen
or
pencil
is
to
let
it
rest
next
to
the
base
of
your
thumb.
F.
Play
games.

advice.

TIME
IS
MONEY
A
proverb(谚语)says:Time
is
money.
But
in
my
opinion,time
is
even
more
valuable
than
money.
Why?Because
when
money
is
spent,we
can
earn
it
back.
However,when
time
is
gone,it
will
never
return.
This
is
the
reason
why
we
must
value
time.
There
is
no
doubt
that
the
time
we
have
is
unusually
limited.
So
even
an
hour
is
extremely
precious.
We
should
make
full
use
of
our
time
to
do
useful
things.
As
students,we
must
not
relax
our
efforts
to
engage(从事于)in
our
studies
so
as
to
serve
our
society
and
our
nation
in
the
future.
But
it
is
a
pity
that
there
are
a
lot
of
people
who
do
not
know
the
importance
of
time.
They
spend
their
valuable
time
smoking,drinking
and
so
on.
They
do
not
realize
that
wasting
time
is
equal
to
wasting
a
part
of
their
valuable
life.
In
a
word,we
should
get
into
a
good
habit
of
saving
time.
Do
not
put
off
what
can
be
done
today
until
tomorrow.
Laziness
will
not
only
bring
us
failure
but
also
lead
us
to
the
road
of
poverty.

)6.When
we
say“Time
is
money.”,we
mean“________”.
A.Time
is
equal
to
dollars,pounds
etc.
B.Time
is
gold
C.Time
is
valuable
D.We
must
spend
time
in
buying
goods

)7.People
who
spend
time
smoking,drinking
______.
A.do
not
know
how
to
kill
time
as
clearly
as
others
B.doubt
that
they
will
become
more
dangerous
to
society
C.realize
how
important
their
lives
are
D.waste
their
whole
lives
without
realizing
the
importance
of
time

)8.If
people
get
lazy,______.
A.they
will
bring
us
failure
B.they
are
likely
to
fail
C.they
are
usually
busy
smoking,drinking
and
so
on
D.they
will
lead
us
to
the
road
of
poverty

)9.According
to
this
passage,the
writer
considers
that
________.
A.money
can
be
spent
but
time
can
not
B.time
is
not
equal
to
money
C.time
is
twice
as
valuable
as
money
D.money
is
not
more
valuable
than
time

)10.Being
students,we
must
______.
A.work
hard
at
our
subjects
B.do
whatever
we
want
to
do
C.not

读后续写
前文大意:
前文主要讲述Bob带领一帮人去寻宝,他们深入森林,疲惫缺水使他们之间产生了矛盾。但在突如其来的暴风后,大家都安然无恙,一切的不快也随之散去。
续写思路:
划线词归类:
人物:
Bob,
team
leader;
Norbert
动作:
stuck,
smile
地点:
wood
事物:
treasure,
water
其它:
warmth,
thirsty
续写第一段段首句:Then
they
still
must
face
the
bad
situation
of
lacking
water.(然后他们仍
然必须面对缺水的糟糕局面。)
分析:根据提示语可知,接下来的续写内容应该是关于暴风过后他们如何解决缺水的问题。作为领队的Bob要想出一个应对缺水问题的办法。学生可以根据续写第二段的段首句的提示,围绕“欺骗”一词设想些情节,比如他可能会故意骗队友他还有一罐水,再坚持走一段路后才能喝到水,只有这样才会让每个队员重燃希望,共同努力,走出树林。
续写第二段的段首句:However,
the
three
soon
found
out
Bob
had

cheated”
them.(然而,
三个人很快发现Bob
“欺骗”了他们。)
分析:根据提示语可知,最后队员知道了真相。根据常理可推断,在缺水的状态下,
Bob作为领队,“欺骗”应该是为了鼓励队员不放弃希望。可想而知,伙伴们也能理解他的良苦用心,大家会冰释前嫌,再次团结在一起,微笑面对,他们收获的会是比宝藏更重要的东西。学生可根据这个思路进行续写。

Email
is
a
great
way
of
sending
an
anonymous
(匿名的)
message.
In
seconds
one
can
create
a
new
email
account
that
easily
masks
the
true
identity
of
the
account
holder.
When
messages
are
sent
with
this
account,
the
receiver
will
have
no
idea
who
sent
the
messages.
Sometimes
such
messages
are
harmless
ads
for
a
variety
of
products.
At
times,
however,
these
anonymous
emails
can
be
disturbing.
When
first
faced
with
an
annoying
email
message,
the
receiver's
first
reaction
may
be
to
try
to
find
out
who
sent
it.
Many
people
believe
that
there
is
no
database
of
email
addresses
available
to
them.
While
this
may
have
been
the
case
during
the
early
days
of
the
Internet,
it
is
no
longer
true
today.
There
is
now
a
legitimate
(合法的)
process
available
to
trace
the
origin
of
an
email.
It's
called
“Reverse
Email
Lookup”.
One
might
think
that
such
an
important
service
would
be
extremely
expensive,
but
the
opposite
is
the
case.
Reverse
email
searches,
if
performed
by
the
proper

can
be
very
affordable.
Online
security
is
an
extremely
pressing
issue
that
affects
every
computer
user.
If
someone
sent
an
email,
how
did
they
get
the
address?Who
are
they?What
are
their
intentions?A
reverse

search
can
begin
to
address
these
important
security
concerns.
Many
people
are
beginning
to
take
advantage
of
reverse
email
searches
and
statistics
show
that
more
and
more
people
are
using
this
service.
Again,
in
today's
security?conscious
world,
many
people
merely
want
to
know
who
is
sending
emails.
Viruses
and
malware
(恶意软件)
are
sent
by
email,
so
experienced
computer
users
will
not
open
an
email
from
an
unknown
source.
A
reverse

can
help
prove
that
a

email
is
legitimate.

For

An
urgent
call
came
into
Jim
Green’s
bar
this
past
March.
A
newly
married
woman
who
had
spent
the
afternoon
at
the
beach
bar,
couldn’t
find
her
wallet.
She
didn’t
care
about
her
ID,
credit
cards,
or
$150
in
cash

but
her
wedding
ring
was
inside.
Jim,
42,
didn’t
like
the
idea
that
a
theft
could
have
occurred
at
his
place.
So
he
set
out
to
find
the
wallet.
He
spent
hours
checking
the
video
tapes
from
16
different
surveillance
cameras(监控摄像机),
watching
the
woman’s
every
step
in
the
bar
until
she
went
to
sit
on
a
bench
outside
and
left
when
her
ride
arrived.
Within
minutes,
a
young
man
approached
the
bench,
quickly
put
something
in
his
pocket,
and
walked
off.
Jim
posted
a
clip
on
the
bar’s
Facebook
page.
“I
just
asked
if
anybody
knew
who
the
guy
was,”
Jim
said.
Within
hours,
Jim
got
a
text
from
17-year-old
Peter.
Peter
admitted
to
having
taken
the
wallet
and
told
Jim
he’d
done
it
because
he
hadn’t
eaten
in
two
days.
He
said
he
saw
the
ring
but
thought
it
was
fake,
so
he
took
the
money
and
threw
the
wallet
off
the
public
docks
into
the
ocean.
Then
he
bought
a
sandwich.
Jim,
unsure
whether
he
believed
Peter,
told
the
teen
to
meet
him
at
the
docks.
There,
they
got
to
talking,
and
Peter
revealed
that
he
wasn’t
getting
along
with
his
family
and
had
been
living
in
the
woods
for
a
week.
Jim,
a
father
of
two,
looked
closely
at
Peter

his
small
height,
his
ruddy
cheeks

and
saw
him
for
what
he
was:
more
of
a
kid
than
a
criminal.
But
the
risks
were
high.
The
police
were
already
on
the
case,
and
because
of
the
missing
ring,
Peter
could
be
facing
a
serious
crime
charge.
“I
had
to
help
him
somehow,”
Jim
says.
The
police
wanted
Jim
to
bring
the
teen
down
to
the
station.
Instead,
Jim
called
the
police
and
told
them,
“He’s
going
to
be
at
the
docks
with
me
tomorrow.”

Paragraph
1
Jim
hired
two
local

to

Peter

A
detective
was

for
them
there.
A
crowd

watch
the
two

search
in
the
strong
current.
More
than
an

passed,
with
no

Jim
grew
worried,
especially
when
the

began
questioning
Peter,
trying

Paragraph

And

In

Cheers
broke
out
in
the

When
Jim

She

He
told

he

【解析】
【分析】
本文是一篇读后续写。
【详解】本篇书面表达是读后续写。通过阅读所给文章可知,文章讲述一位叫做吉姆.格林的人通过各种方法帮助一位女士找寻丢失的钱包和结婚戒指的线索。最后通过视频确定了偷钱包和戒指的男生。并且将视频放到了网上。最后偷钱包的男生主动找了吉姆。讲明了偷钱包的原因---多天未吃东西。同时提到所偷到的戒指被丢掉了。
续写部分分为两段,第一段开头是:吉姆雇了两名当地潜水员在彼得扔钱包的水域搜索。所以这一段主要写潜水员苦寻戒指而不得。另外偷戒指的男生彼得也受到了侦探的盘查。第二段开头是:然后一个潜水员突然出现了。这一段主要写女士的戒指被找到了。女士很高兴于是撤销了对彼得的所有指控。同时吉姆也伸出了援助之手帮助彼得重新站起来。
续写时要求使用5个以上短文中标有下划线的关键词语增加了写作难度,我们要熟悉所给划线词语,恰当的时候加以运用。最后还要注意所续写短文的词数应为150左右;续写完成后,请用下划线标出你所使用的关键词语。按要求完成写作任务。
【点睛】文章思路清晰,语言规范,段落整齐,语篇连贯,层次清晰。使用了较为高级的句式:时间状语从句:When
Jim
called
the
wallet’s
owner,
she
burst
into
tears.;宾语从句:Jim
knew
his
home
was
big
enough
to
give
Peter
a
place
to

for
a
while
等。高级句式的应用提升了写作的档次,整个短文显示出了作者高水平的英语表达能力。
