【解析】
这是一篇应用文。广告推荐了三个旅游胜地的森林旅馆。
【1题详解】
细节理解题。根据方框二Villa
Carmen
Lodge中第二句“The
lodge
neighbors
several
native
communities,
including
some
that
offer
visiting
opportunities.”(
旅馆邻近几个当地社区,包括一些提供探访社区的机会。)可知,该旅馆提供探访社区的机会。所以,如果一个人喜欢探索当地社区,应该选择Villa
Carmen
Lodge。故选B项。
【2题详解】
细节理解题。根据段落Stays
at
our
lodges
include中“Three
wonderful
meals
a
day
according
to
your
diet
needs”(根据你的饮食需要,一日三餐都很美味)可知,旅馆里提供符合自己饮食需要的一日三餐,所以游客在这三个旅馆每天都能吃到个性化的膳食。故选A项。
【3题详解】
推理判断题。通读全文可知,文章主要介绍了三个森林旅馆,描述了它们的名称,地点,高度,主要特点。最后,通过“Stays
at
our
lodges
include…”(住在我们旅馆包括……)又介绍了旅馆包括的各种服务。由此推断,文章目的是:推荐一些位于亚马逊森林的旅馆,选项B符合题意。选项A“教育人们环境保护的重要性”、C“呼吁人们关注魔法森林的多样性”和D“向人们展示在Peruvian
Amazon森林进行的探索”等主题,本文章均未涉及。故选B项。
B
Scientists
say
they
are
in
a
race
against
time.
The
endangered
Franciscana
Dolphin
population
off
the
Argentine
coast
is
shrinking.
The
dolphins
are
dying
in
fishing
nets
and
scientists
are
trying
to
reverse(扭转)that
trend.
Doctor
Martin
Mandez
is
one
of
the
team
leaders.
He
and
his
colleagues
are
combining
three
lines
of
research.
They
are
catching
the
dolphins
and
implanting
devices
for
satellite
tracking.
They
are
testing
environmental
conditions
such
as
the
food
supply
and
water
temperature
to
better
understand
why
the
dolphins
choose
to
live
there.
And
back
in
New
York,
Mandez
is
studying
the
dolphins
on
a
molecular(分子的)level
by
sequencing(测定序列)their
DNA
to
better
classify
family
groups.
They
think
that
they
basically
completed
a
very
important
piece
of
research.
They
combined
each
of
their
new
data
for
addressing
population
structure.
The
team
hopes
the
combined
data
will
paint
a
very
clear
picture
of
the
rare
dolphin’s
habitat,
allowing
scientists
like
Pablo
Bordino
to
make
informed
recommendations
for
their
protection.
Bordino
says
the
research
is
born
some
surprising
discoveries.
They
are
finding
that
those
animals
are
special
residents.
They
don’t
like
to
move
a
lot
so
that
results
support
the
genetic
results
too.
And
that
could
be
important,
according
to
Mandez,
gill
net
fishing
in
certain
areas
has
the
potential
to
wipe
out
entire
families
of
Franciscana
Dolphins.
Basically
the
end-goal
is
to
preserve
such
kind
of
dolphins,
as
a
viable(可繁衍的)species.This
means
having
viable
populations
to
distribute(分布)in
space.So
they
are
basically
doing
everything
they
can,
combining
all
the
evidence
they
can,
different
tools,
and
different
lines
of
research
to
provide
the
best
understanding
they
can
to
then
put
together
a
sense
of
conservation
plan.
So
they
are
basically
at
the
point.
They
trust
throwing
science
at
its
best
to
address
this
issue.
Mandez
says
in
recent
years,
local
fishing
and
the
government
in
Argentina
had
been
helpful
to
their
mission.
Ultimately
though,
he
believes
the
fate
of
the
Franciscana
dolphin
may
come
down
to
science.
4.
Which
of
the
following
statements
belongs
to
the
three
lines
of
research?
A.
Tracking
the
leader
of
a
dolphin
family
with
satellites.
B.
Improving
the
living
conditions
of
the
dolphins.
C.
Studying
the
dolphins’
preference
for
where
to
live.
D.
Classifying
the
dolphins
into
different
family
groups
by
their
habitats.
5.
The
Franciscana
dolphin’s
habit
of
living
in
certain
areas
without
moving
may
have
a
consequence
that
A.
they
may
eat
up
all
the
food
in
certain
areas
B.
they
may
have
the
potential
to
harm
other
sea
life
C.
they
are
likely
to
be
killed
off
by
gill
fishing
D.
they
will
have
trouble
adapting
to
the
environment
in
other
areas
6.
What
determines
the
fate
of
the
Franciscana
dolphin
according
to
Mandez?
A.
Science.
B.
Local
fishing.
C.
The
habitat.
D.
The
government’s
effort.
7.
What
does
the
passage
mainly
talk
about?
A.
Fishing
nets
are
putting
rare
dolphins
in
great
danger.
B.
Satellite
tracking
is
widely
used
in
protecting
endangered
dolphins.
C.
Scientist
are
testing
environmental
conditions
off
the

7.
D
【解析】
这是一篇说明文。本文主要阐述了阿根廷沿海拉河豚面临灭绝,科学家们正在寻找可行的办法使河豚这个物种继续繁殖下去。
【4题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段“He
and
his
colleagues
are
combining
three
lines
of
research.
They
are
catching
the
dolphins
and
implanting
devices
for
satellite
tracking.
They
are
testing
environmental
conditions
such
as

dolphins
choose
to
live
there.
(他和他的同事们正在结合三个方面的研究。他们正在捕捉海豚并植入卫星跟踪装置。他们正在测试环境条件,如食物供应和水温,以更好地了解海豚为什么选择在那里生活)”可知,科学家们捕捉海豚并植入卫星跟踪装置,是为了更好的了解海豚喜欢的生活地点。因此,以下陈述属于这三个方面的研究是:C项“研究海豚对生活地点的偏好(Studying
the
dolphins’preference
for
where
to
live)”符合题意,故选C项。
【5题详解】
细节理解题。根据第五段和第六段“They
don’t
like
to
move
a
lot
so
that
results
support
the
genetic
results
too.And
that
could
be
important,
according
to
Mandez,

the
potential
to
wipe
out
entire
families
of
Franciscana
Dolphins.(它们不喜欢移动太多,结果也支持遗传结果。这可能很重要,根据曼德兹的说法,刺网捕鱼在某些地区有可能消灭拉河豚的整个家族)”可知,拉河豚不喜欢移动,这个习性很可能导致他们被刺网捕鱼灭绝。因此,拉河豚习惯于生活在某些区域而不移动,其后果可能是C项:“they
are
likely
to
be
killed
off
by
gill
fishing(它们很可能会被刺鱼捕捞致死)”符合题意,故选C项。
【6题详解】
细节理解题。根据最后一句“Ultimately
though,
he
believes
the
fate
of
the
Franciscana
dolphin
may
come
down
to
science.(不过,他相信,拉河豚的命运最终可能取决于科学)”可知,曼德兹认为,拉河豚的命运最终可能取决于科学。因此,据曼德兹的说法,决定了拉河豚的命运的是A项:“Science(科学)”
符合题意,故选A项。.
【7题详解】
主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其是第一段“Scientists
say
they
are
in
a
race
against
time.
The
endangered

fishing
in
certain
areas
has
the
potential
to
wipe
out
entire
families
of
Franciscana
Dolphins.(刺网捕鱼在某些地区有可能消灭拉河豚的整个家族)”以及倒数第二段“Basically
the
end-goal
is
to
preserve
such
kind
of
dolphins,
as
a
viable
species.(基本上,最终目标是保护这类海豚,作为一种可繁衍的物种)”可知,本文主要阐述了,由于刺网捕鱼,阿根廷沿海濒拉河豚面临灭绝,科学家们正在寻找可行的办法,使河豚这个物种继续繁殖下去。因此,这篇文章主要的是D项“Scientists
are
trying
to
stop
Franciscana
Dolphin
population
from
dying
outScientists
are
trying
to
stop
Franciscana
Dolphin
population
from
dying
out.(科学家们正试图阻止拉河豚种群的灭绝)”
符合题意,故选D项。.

But
what
is
it
about
serious
music
training
that
seems
to
correlate
with
outsize
success
in
other
fields?
I
put
the
question
to
top-flight
professionals
in
industries
from
tech
to
finance
to
media,
all
of
whom
had
serious
past
lives
as
musicians.
The
phenomenon
extends
beyond
the
math-music
association.
Strikingly,
many
high
achievers
told
me
music
opened
up
the
pathways
to
creative
thinking.
And
their
experiences
suggest
that
music
training
sharpens
other
qualities:
Collection.
The
ability
to
listen.
A
way
of
thinking
that
weaves
together
disparate
ideas.
The
power
to
focus
on
the
present
and
the
future
simultaneously.
For
many
of
the
high
achievers
I
spoke
with,
music
functions
as
a
“hidden
language,”
as
Mr.
Wolfensohn
calls
it,
one
that
enhances
the
ability
to
connect
disparate
or
even
contradictory
ideas.
When
he
ran
the
World
Bank,
Mr.
Wolfensohn
traveled
to
more
than
100
countries,
often
taking
in
local
performances,
which
helped
him
understand
“the
culture
of
people,
as
distinct
from
their
balance
sheet.”
It
is
in
that
context
that
the
connection
between
math
and
music
grabs
the
most
attention.
Both
are
at
heart
modes
of
expression.
Bruce
Kovner,
the
founder
of
the
hedge
fund
(对冲基金)
Caxton
Associates,
says
he
sees
similarities
between
his
piano
playing
and
investing
strategy;
as
he
says,
both
“relate
to
pattern
recognition,
and
some
people
extend
these
patterns
across
different
senses.”
For
Roger
McNamee,
whose
Elevation
Partners
is
perhaps
best
known
for
its
early
investment
in
Facebook,
“music
and
technology
have
converged,”
he
says.
He
became
expert
on
Facebook
by
using
it
to
promote
his
band,
Moonalice,
and
now
is
focusing
on
video
by
live-streaming
its
concerts.
He
says
musicians
and
top
professionals
share
“the
almost
desperate
need
to
dive
deep.”
This
capacity
to
obsess
seems
to
unite
top
performers
in
music
and
other
fields.
“I’ve
always
believed
the
reason
I’ve
gotten
ahead
is
by
outworking
other
people,”
he
says.
It’s
a
skill
learned
by
“playing
that
solo
one
more
time,
working
on
that
one
little
section
one
more
time,”
and
it
translates
into
“working
on
something
over
and
over
again,
or
double-checking
or
triple-checking.”
He
adds,
“There’s
nothing
like
music
to
teach
you
that
eventually
if
you
work
hard
enough,
it
does
get
better.
You
see
the
results.”
That’s
an
observation
worth
remembering
at
a
time
when
music
as
a
serious
pursuit
in
decline
in
this
country.

Associates,says
he

Kovner表示,他认为自己的钢琴演奏和投资策略之间存在相似之处。由此可知,
Bruce
Kovner看到了音乐和数学运算的相似之处。故选D。
【10题详解】
词句猜测题。根据文章第五段“For
Roger
McNamee,
whose
Elevation
Partners
is
perhaps
best
known
for
its
early
investment
in
Facebook,”可知,Roger
McNamee的Elevation
Partners可能以早期投资Facebook而闻名。再结合“music

technology
have
converged”可知,他认为音乐和技术已经融合在一起了。由此可知,
Roger
McNamee认为技术增加了提高音乐的渠道,也就是技术已经增加推广音乐的渠道。故选A。
【11题详解】
词句猜测题。根据文章倒数第二段“There’s
nothing
like
music
to
teach
you
that
eventually
if
you
work
hard
enough,
it
does
get
better.
”可知,没有什么比音乐更能教会你,如果你足够努力,它最终会变得更好。再根据“That’s
an
observation
worth
remembering
at
a
time
when
music
as
a
serious
pursuit
is
in
decline
in
this
country.”可知,在这个国家,音乐作为一种严肃的追求正在衰落的时候,这是一个值得记住的observation。分析可知,前文讲到了各行各业“top-flight
professionals”成功人士与音乐的渊源,并且结合音乐教育在这个国家正在衰落。由此推知,划线词observation意为努力工作能让你进步的一个想法,也就是努力工作使你领先的观念,正好与“work
hard(努力工作)”相呼应。故选C。

【解析】
本文是说明文。文章分析了狄更斯作品经久不衰的原因。
【16题详解】
由第一段尾句“The
next
day,
a
headline
in
The
New
York
Times
read:
“Death
of
the
Great
Novelist...Mourned
by
the
People
of
Two
Continents.””(第二天,《纽约时报》的头条新闻写道:“伟大小说家的逝世……两大洲人民的哀悼。”)和下一句“Even
today,
the
British
novelist
is
loved
by
readers
all
over
the
world.”(即使在今天,这位英国小说家仍然受到全世界读者的喜爱。)可知,狄更斯是一位伟大小说家,他的逝世是两大洲人民的哀悼,即使在今天,他的作品也受到全世界读者的喜爱,可见狄更斯的名声享誉全球,报纸头条没有夸大他的名声,承接上下文,E选项“标题并没有夸大狄更斯的名声。”切题;该选项中的“The
headline”对应上文的“a
headline”。故选E项。
【17题详解】
由下一句“Since
1897,
there
have
been
more
than
300
film
and
television
adaptations
of
Dickens’
works.”(自1897年以来,狄更斯作品的改编影视作品已有300多部。)可知,狄更斯作品非常受欢迎,承接下文,D选项“《双城记》已售出2亿多册。”切题;该选项中的“more
than
200
million
copies”与下文的“more
than
300
film
and
television
adaptations”两组数据相呼应,都体现狄更斯作品的受欢迎度。故选D项。
【18题详解】
由上一句“One
important
reason,
she
says,
is
that
Dickens
wrote
from
his
heart.”(她说,一个重要的原因是狄更斯发自内心的写作。)和本段中的“People
always
enjoy
works
that
make
them
laugh
out
loud,
cry
and
think.”(人们总是喜欢让他们大笑、哭泣和思考的作品。)可知,狄更斯发自内心写作,是为了通过他的作品使读者产生共鸣,让读者产生情感影响,让他们哭、笑和思考,承接上下文,A选项“他努力在读者中产生情感影响。”切题;该选项中的“emotional
effects”与下文的“laugh,
cry,think”相呼应。故选A项。
【19题详解】
由下一句“However,
few
of
them
worked
as
hard
as
Dickens
to
attract
readers'
minds.”(然而,他们中很少有人像狄更斯那样努力吸引读者的思想。)可知,在这里作者提到了其他一些作家,并把作家的作品与狄更斯的作品相比较,相比于狄更斯发人深省的作品,其他作家没法像狄更斯一样吸引读者的思想,承接下文,G选项“许多其他19世纪的小说家写了一些有趣的作品。”切题;该选项中的“Many
other
19th
century
novelists”与下文中的“them”相呼应。故选G项。
【20题详解】
由上两句“Dickens
wrote
about
situations
and
emotions
that
still
interest
people
today.
He
used
his
pen
to
fight
social
inequality
and
gave
voice
to
the
poor.”(狄更斯写的是今天人们仍然感兴趣的情景和情绪。他用笔与社会不平等作斗争,为穷人发声。)可知,本段主要讲狄更斯作品的影响,狄更斯的作品描述了社会的不平等,为穷人发声,才能引起读者共鸣,进而引起读者思考去为社会做些什么,引发社会变革,承接上文,B选项“他的作品导致了许多重要的社会变革。”切题。故选B项。

Scientists
say
they
are
in
a
race
against
time.
The
endangered
Franciscana
Dolphin
population
off
the
Argentine
coast
is
shrinking.
The
dolphins
are
dying
in
fishing
nets
and
scientists
are
trying
to
reverse(扭转)that
trend.
Doctor
Martin
Mandez
is
one
of
the
team
leaders.
He
and
his
colleagues
are
combining
three
lines
of
research.
They
are
catching
the
dolphins
and
implanting
devices
for
satellite
tracking.
They
are
testing
environmental
conditions
such
as
the
food
supply
and
water
temperature
to
better
understand
why
the
dolphins
choose
to
live
there.
And
back
in
New
York,
Mandez
is
studying
the
dolphins
on
a
molecular(分子的)level
by
sequencing(测定序列)their
DNA
to
better
classify
family
groups.
They
think
that
they
basically
completed
a
very
important
piece
of
research.
They
combined
each
of
their
new
data
for
addressing
population
structure.
The
team
hopes
the
combined
data
will
paint
a
very
clear
picture
of
the
rare
dolphin’s
habitat,
allowing
scientists
like
Pablo
Bordino
to
make
informed
recommendations
for
their
protection.
Bordino
says
the
research
is
born
some
surprising
discoveries.
They
are
finding
that
those
animals
are
special
residents.
They
don’t
like
to
move
a
lot
so
that
results
support
the
genetic
results
too.
And
that
could
be
important,
according
to
Mandez,
gill
net
fishing
in
certain
areas
has
the
potential
to
wipe
out
entire
families
of
Franciscana
Dolphins.
Basically
the
end-goal
is
to
preserve
such
kind
of
dolphins,
as
a
viable(可繁衍的)species.This
means
having
viable
populations
to
distribute(分布)in
space.So
they
are
basically
doing
everything
they
can,
combining
all
the
evidence
they
can,
different
tools,
and
different
lines
of
research
to
provide
the
best
understanding
they
can
to
then
put
together
a
sense
of
conservation
plan.
So
they
are
basically
at
the
point.
They
trust
throwing
science
at
its
best
to
address
this
issue.
Mandez
says
in
recent
years,
local
fishing
and
the
government
in
Argentina
had
been
helpful
to
their
mission.
Ultimately
though,
he
believes
the
fate
of
the
Franciscana
dolphin
may
come
down
to
science.
4.
Which

the
following
statements
belongs
to
the
three
lines
of
research?
A.
Tracking
the
leader
of

B.
Improving
the
living
conditions
of
the

that
A.
they

up
all
the

B.
they
may
have
the

are

6.

Multiple
studies
link
music
study
to
academic
achievement.
But
what
is
it
about
serious
music
training
that
seems
to
correlate
with
outsize
success
in
other
fields?
I
put
the
question
to
top-flight
professionals
in
industries
from
tech
to
finance
to
media,
all
of
whom
had
serious
past
lives
as
musicians.
The
phenomenon
extends
beyond
the
math-music
association.
Strikingly,
many
high
achievers
told
me
music
opened
up
the
pathways
to
creative
thinking.
And
their
experiences
suggest
that
music
training
sharpens
other
qualities:
Collection.
The
ability
to
listen.
A
way
of
thinking
that
weaves
together
disparate
ideas.
The
power
to
focus
on
the
present
and
the
future
simultaneously.
For
many
of
the
high
achievers
I
spoke
with,
music
functions
as
a
“hidden
language,”
as
Mr.
Wolfensohn
calls
it,
one
that
enhances
the
ability
to
connect
disparate
or
even
contradictory
ideas.
When
he
ran
the
World
Bank,
Mr.
Wolfensohn
traveled
to
more
than
100
countries,
often
taking
in
local
performances,
which
helped
him
understand
“the
culture
of
people,
as
distinct
from
their
balance
sheet.”
It
is
in
that
context
that
the
connection
between
math
and
music
grabs
the
most
attention.
Both
are
at
heart
modes
of
expression.
Bruce
Kovner,
the
founder
of
the
hedge
fund
(对冲基金)
Caxton
Associates,
says
he
sees
similarities
between
his
piano
playing
and
investing
strategy;
as
he
says,
both
“relate
to
pattern
recognition,
and
some
people
extend
these
patterns
across
different
senses.”
For
Roger
McNamee,
whose
Elevation
Partners
is
perhaps
best
known
for
its
early
investment
in
Facebook,
“music
and
technology
have
converged,”
he
says.
He
became
expert
on
Facebook
by
using
it
to
promote
his
band,
Moonalice,
and
now
is
focusing
on
video
by
live-streaming
its
concerts.
He
says
musicians
and
top
professionals
share
“the
almost
desperate
need
to
dive
deep.”
This
capacity
to
obsess
seems
to
unite
top
performers
in
music
and
other
fields.
“I’ve
always
believed
the
reason
I’ve
gotten
ahead
is
by
outworking
other
people,”
he
says.
It’s
a
skill
learned
by
“playing
that
solo
one
more
time,
working
on
that
one
little
section
one
more
time,”
and
it
translates
into
“working
on
something
over
and
over
again,
or
double-checking
or
triple-checking.”
He
adds,
“There’s
nothing
like
music
to
teach
you
that
eventually
if
you
work
hard
enough,
it
does
get
better.
You
see
the
results.”
That’s
an
observation
worth
remembering
at
a
time
when
music
as
a
serious
pursuit
in
decline
in
this
country.

LOS
ANGELES,
Nov.
12
(Xinhua)—Legendary
comic
book
writer
Stan
Lee
has
died
at
the
age
of
95,
according
to
media
reports
on
Monday.
Lee,
born
in
Stanley
Lieber
on
Dec.
28th,
1922,
began
his
career
in
1939
and
joined
the
Marvel
Comics
in
1961.
He
is
considered
as
one
of
the
most
legendary
names
in
the
history
of
comic
books
and
the
leading
creative
force
behind
the
rise
of
Marvel
Comics.
He
co-created
iconic
fictional
characters
such
as
Spider-Man,
X-Men,
the
Avengers,
and
many
more.
Lee’s
characters
often
have
super
powers
but
they
also
have
weaknesses.
They
were
humans,
not
gods.
They
not
only
struggled
to
save
the
world,
but
also
to
pay
their
bills,
make
friends,
and
hold
jobs.
This
made
Marvel
comic
book
heroes
stand
apart
from
its
competitor
DC,
which
produced
the
seemingly
perfect
heroes
like
Superman
and
Wonder
Woman.
Those
superheroes
have
been
adapted
into
blockbuster
films,
most
of
which
were
made
after
Disney
acquired
Marvel
in
a
4-billion-dollar
deal
in
2009.
In
a
statement,
Bob
Iger,
chairman
and
CEO
of
the
Walt
Disney
Company
said
Stan
Lee
was
as
extraordinary
as
the
characters
he
created.
Marvel
also
praised
Lee
on
its
website
by
putting
on
one
of
Lee’s
famous
quotes,
which
goes,
“I
used
to
be
embarrassed
because
I
was
just
a
comic-book
writer
while
other
people
were
building
bridges
or
going
on
to
medical
careers.
And
then
I
began
to
realize:
entertainment
is
one
of
the
most
important
things
in
people’s
lives.
Without
it,
they
might
go
off
the
deep
end.
I
feel
that
if
you’re
able
to
entertain,
you’re
doing
a
good
thing.
”
Praise
from
his
Hollywood
peers
and
colleagues
was
generous.
President
of
Marvel
Studios
Kevin
Feige
appreciated
Lee’s
unparalleled
impact
on
the
industry.
“No
one
has
had
more
of
an
impact
on
my
career
than
Stan
Lee,”
Feige
said.
“Our
thoughts
are
with
his
family
and
the
millions
of
fans
who
have
been
forever
touched
by
Stan’s
genius,
charisma
and
heart.”

that
Sunday
in
May.
After
all,
it
was
Mother's
Day-and

her

her

in
Ohio.
She
had
called
her
mother
that

Mother's
Day,
and
her
mother
had
mentioned
how
colorful
the
yard
was
now
that
spring
had
arrived.
As
they
talked,
the
younger
woman
could
almost
smell
the
fragrance(香味)of
purple
lilacs(紫丁香)
hanging
on
the
big
bush
outside
her
parents'
back
door.
Later,when
she

those

he
popped
up
from
his
chair.
“I
know

and
the

started
running.
Soon,
the

With

her
eyes.
When
they
were
within
three
miles
for
home,
she
suddenly
shouted
to
her
husband,
“Stop

Stop
right
here!"
The

Before
he
could

the

was
out
of
the

and
hurrying
up

still
in
her
arms.
At
