Ⅱ.阅读理解
Actually
we
have
known
a
lot
of
examples
and
meaningful
words
to
support
the
fact
that
we
should
try
our
best
to
ease
the
bad
impression
of
others.
Just
like
the
old
saying
goes,
we
should
give
a
better
assumption
to
the
one
than
we
think
he
was.
But
many
of
us
always
fail
to
do
this.
Take
the
situation
of
my
class
for
example.
Right
at
the
beginning
of
the
first
semester
when
we
were
freshmen
we
all
showed
great
favor
to
each
other.
And
when
there
was
an
activity
that
needed
some
people
to
join,
we
would
be
willing
to
attend
whether
it
was
interesting
or
not.
And
we
were
really
like
brothers
and
sisters,
and
our
class
was
just
like
a
family,
a
warm
family.
But
now,
I
feel
tired
of
those
meaningless
activities
not
only
because
of
the
boring
activities
themselves
but
also
the
cool
response
of
our
classmates.
I
think
the
reasons
why
the
passion
of
most
classmates
is
so
low
may
be
as
follows:
To
start
with,
many
of
us
take
part
in
more
than
one
organization,
which
will
certainly
make
us
tired.
Also,
in
the
study
fields,
many
of
us
may
find
that
our
courses
are
sometimes
difficult
to
understand
or
comprehend,
especially
the
specialized
subjects.
Moreover,“history”
teaches
us
that
if
one
does
not
study
hard,
it
is
possible
to
fail
in
the
exams.
So
it
is
a
big
and
good
excuse
to
say
that
“I
do
really
want
to
attend,
but
I
have
a
lot
of
homework
to
do,
so...”.
Last
but
not
least,
some
people
believe
that
some
of
our
leaders
should
not
be
regarded
as
a
leader,
maybe
I
should
say
we,
as
leaders,
lost
the
reputation,
support
and
trust
of
yours.
At
least
I
am
the
warm?hearted
one,
although
I
cannot
promise
you
that
your
advice
will
be
adopted
surely,
at
least
I
will
spare
no
effort
to
“give”
you
the
right
to
be
heard,
and
to
serve
you.
Be
active
to
show
your
talents
and
abilities
and
to
create
a
better
image
of
our
class.
Most
important
of
all,
work
pains
takingly
for
a
better
condition
that
we
should
have
reached.

Dear
boys
and
girls,
I
went
on
a
trip
to
the
countryside
with
my
parents
last
weekend.
We
saw
straw
being
burnt
here
and
there
in
the
field
and
heavy
smoke
floating
into
the
sky
along
with
a
terrible
smell,
which
caused
air
pollution
and
damaged
the
natural
environment.
Meanwhile,
it
may
have
led
to
a
fire.
As
we
all
know,
putting
straw
back
into
the
fields
makes
the
soil
richer
and
does
good
to
the
crops.
I
hope
the
government
will
take
effective
measures
to
encourage
farmers
to
put
straw
back
into
the
fields.
Those
who
burn
straw
as
they
wish
should
be
seriously
punished.

Like
fine
food,
good
writing
is
something
we
approach
with
pleasure
and
enjoy
from
the
first
taste
to
the
last.
And
good
writers,
like
good
cooks,
do
not
suddenly
appear
full-blown.
Quite
the
opposite,
just
as
the
cook
has
to
undergo
a
particular
training,
mastering
the
skills
of
his
trade,
the
writer
must
sit
at
his
desk
and
devote
long
hours
to
achieving
a
style
in
his
writing,
whatever
its
purpose
is—schoolwork,
matters
of
business,
or
purely
social
communication.
You
may
be
sure
that
the
more
painstaking
the
effort,
the
more
effective
the
writing,
and
the
more
rewarding.
There
are
still
some
faraway
places
in
the
world
where
you
might
find
a
public
scribe
to
do
your
business
or
social
writing
for
you,
for
money.
There
are
a
few
managers
who
are
lucky
enough
to
have
the
service
of
that
rare
kind
of
secretary
who
can
take
care
of
all
sorts
of
letter
writing
with
no
more
than
a
quick
note
to
work
from.
But
for
most
of
us,
if
there
is
any
writing
to
be
done,
we
have
to
do
it
ourselves.
We
have
to
write
school
papers,
business
papers
or
home
papers.
We
are
constantly
called
on
to
put
words
to
papers.
It
would
be
difficult
to
count
the
number
of
such
words,
messages,
letters,
and
reports
put
into
mails
or
delivered
by
hand,
but
the
daily
figures
must
be
extremely
large.
What
is
more,
everyone
who
writes
expects,
or
at
least
hopes
whatever
he
writes
will
be
read,
from
first
word
to
last,
not
just
thrown
into
some
“letters-to-be-read”
files
or
into
a
wastepaper
basket.
This
is
the
reason
we
bend
our
efforts
toward
learning
and
practicing
the
skills
of
interesting,
effective
writing.
46.

C.
both
are

D.

Writing

“All
work

no

Jack
a

is
a
popular
saying
in
the
United
States.
Other
countries
have
similar
sayings.
It
is
true
that
all
of
us
need
recreation.
We
cannot
work
all

time
if
we
are
going
to
keep
good
health
and
enjoy

Everyone
has
his
own
way
of
relaxing.
Perhaps
the
most
popular
way
is
to
take
part
in
sports.
there
are
team
sports,
such
as
baseball,
basketball,
and
football.
There
are
individual
sports,
also,
such
as
golf
and
swimming.
In
addition
hiking,
fishing,
skiing,
and
mountain
climbing
have
a
great
attraction
for
people
who
like
to
be
outdoors.
Not
everyone
who
enjoys
sports
events
likes
to
take
part
in
them.
Many
people
prefer
to
be
onlookers,
either
watching
them
on
television,
or
listening
to
them
on
the
radio.
When
there
is
an
important
baseball
game
or
boxing
match
it
is
almost
impossible
to
get
tickets;
everyone
wants
to
attend.
Chess,
card-playing,
and
dancing
are
forms
of
indoor
recreation
enjoyed
by
many
people.
It
doesn't
matter
whether
we
play
a
fast
game
of
ping-pong,
concentrate
over
the
bridge
table,
or
go
walking
through
the
woods
on
a
brisk
autumn
afternoon.
It
is
important
for
every
one
to
relax
from
time
to
time
and
enjoy
some
form
of
recreation.

of

We
were
driving
along
the
village
of
Simdara.
I
16
to
my
right
and
saw
an
old
shelter
20
metres
from
the
side
of
the
road
that
appeared
to
be
filled
with
17
.
“Would
you
mind
18
?”
I
asked
the
driver
Waris.
“I
think
there
is
a(n)
19
.”
Waris
laughed.
“No,
Greg,
that’s
actually
a
public
toilet,”
explained
Waris
and
he
kept
20
.
“But
why
are
there
so
many
kids?
What
are
they
doing
there?
We
need
to
21
,”
I
insisted.
The
words
caught
Waris’
22
and
he
stopped
the
car.
When
we
reached
the
shelter,
to
my
surprise,
it
was
23
a
toilet

or
at
least
it
had
been
at
one
time.
The
roof
was
now
gone,
and
the
four
toilet
pits
(坑)
had
been
24
with
old
boards.
There
were
25
children
between
4
and
5
years
old,
one
25
,
and
a
wooden
board
against
the
wall.
Though
having
a
tough
learning
environment,
the
students
were
quite
26
to
chat
with
us
about
their
class
and

(课程).
After
about
10
minutes,
the
teacher
27
if
we
might
like
to
see
“the
rest
of
the

We
28
and
followed
her
up
the
hill.
Just
over
the
top
of
the
hill,
there
was
an
old
tent.
It
was
very
29
inside
because
nearly
100
students
were
packed
like
sardines
(沙丁鱼).
These
students
were
a
little

fifth-,

and

A
My
First
Marathon
A
month
before
my
first
marathon,
one
of
my
ankles
was
injured
and
this
meant
not
running
for
two
weeks,
leaving
me
only
two
weeks
to
train.
Yet,
I
was
determined
to
go
ahead.
I
remember
back
to
my
7th
year
in
school.
In
my
first
P.E.
class,
the
teacher
required
us
to
run
laps
and
then
hit
a
softball.
I
didn’t
do
either
well.
He
later
informed
me
that
I
was
"not
athletic".
The
idea
that
I
was
"not
athletic"
stuck
with
me
for
years.
When
I
started
running
in
my
30s,
I
realized
running
was
a
battle
against
myself,
not
about
competition
or
whether
or
not
I
was
athletic.
It
was
all
about
the
battle
against
my
own
body
and
mind.
A
test
of
wills!
The
night
before
my
marathon,
I
dreamt
that
I
couldn’t
even
find
the
finish
line.
I
woke
up
sweating
and
nervous,
but
ready
to
prove
something
to
myself.
Shortly
after
crossing
the
start
line,
my
shoe
laces(鞋带)
became
untied.
So
I
stopped
to
readjust.
Not
the
start
I
wanted!
At
mile
3,
I
passed
a
sign:
"GO
FOR
IT,
RUNNERS!"
By
mile
17,
I
became
out
of
breath
and
the
once
injured
ankle
hurt
badly.
Despite
the
pain,
I
stayed
the
course
walking
a
bit
and
then
running
again.
By
mile
21,
I
was
starving!
As
I
approached
mile
23,
I
could
see
my
wife
waving
a
sign.
She
is
my
biggest
fan.
She
never
minded
the
alarm
clock
sounding
at
4
a.m.
or
questioned
my
expenses
on
running.
I
was
one
of
the
final
runners
to
finish.
But
I
finished!
And
I
got
a
medal.
In
fact,
I
got
the
same
medal
as
the
one
that
the
guy
who
came
in
first
place
had.
Determined
to
be
myself,
move
forward,
free
of
shame
and
worldly
labels(世俗标签),
I
can
now
call
myself
a
"marathon
winner".

for
a
unique
adventure,
the
Space
and
Aviation
Center
(SAC)
is
the
place
to
be.
The
Center
offers
programs
designed
to
challenge
and
inspire
with
hands-on
tasks
and
lots
of
fun.
More
than
750,000
have
graduated
from
SAC,
with
many
seeking
employment
in
engineering,
aviation,
education,
medicine
and
a
wide
variety
of
other
professions.
They
come
to
camp,
wanting
to
know
what
it
is
like
to
be
an
astronaut
or
a
pilot,
and
they
leave
with
real-world
applications
for
what
they’re
studying
in
the
classroom.
For
the
trainees,
the
programs
also
offer
a
great
way
to
earn
merit
badges(荣誉徽章).
At
Space
Camp,
trainees
can
earn
their
Space
Exploration
badge
as
they
build
and
fire
model
rockets,
learn
about
space
tasks
and
try
simulated(模拟)

to
space
with
the
crew
from
all
over
the
world.
The
Aviation
Challenge
program
gives
trainees
the
chance
to
earn
their
Aviation
badge.
They
learn
the
principles
of
flight
and
test
their
operating
skills
in
the
cockpit(驾驶舱)
of
a
variety
of
flight
simulators.
Trainees
also
get
a
good
start
on
their
Wilderness
Survival
badge
as
they
learn
about
water-
and
land-survival
through
designed
tasks
and
their
search
and
rescue
of
"downed"
pilot.
With
all
the
programs,
teamwork
is
key
as
trainees
learn
the
importance
of
leadership
and
being
part
of
a
bigger
task.
All
this
fun
is
available
for
ages
9
to

6.
What
is
the
most
important
for

A.
Leadership.
B.

planning.
D.
Survival
skills.
C
Many
of
us
love
July
because
it’s
the
month
when
nature’s
berries
and
stone
fruits
are
in
abundance.
These
colourful
and
sweet
jewels
from
British
Columbia’s
fields
are
little
powerhouses
of
nutritional
protection.
Of
the
common
berries,
strawberries
are
highest
in
vitamin
C,
although,
because
of
their
seeds,
raspberries
contain
a
little
more
protein
(蛋白质),
iron
and
zinc
(not
that
fruits
have
much
protein).
Blueberries
are
particularly
high
in
antioxidants
(抗氧化物质).
The
yellow
and
orange
stone
fruits
such
as
peaches
are
high
in
the
carotenoids
we
turn
into
vitamin
A
and
which
are
antioxidants.
As
for
cherries
(樱桃),
they
are
so
delicious
who
cares?
However,
they
are
rich
in
vitamin
C.
When
combined
with
berries
of
slices
of
other
fruits,
frozen
bananas
make
an
excellent
base
for
thick,
cooling
fruit
shakes
and
low
fat
“ice
cream”.
For
this
purpose,
select
ripe
bananas
for
freezing
as
they
are
much
sweeter.
Remove
the
skin
and
place
them
in
plastic
bags
or
containers
and
freeze.
If
you
like,
a
squeeze
of
fresh
lemon
juice
on
the
bananas
will
prevent
them
turning
brown.
Frozen
bananas
will
last
several
weeks,
depending
on
their
ripeness
and
the
temperature
of
the
freezer.
If
you
have
a
juicer,
you
can
simply
feed
in
frozen
bananas
and
some
berries
or
sliced
fruit.
Out
comes
a
“soft-serve”
creamy
dessert,
to
be
eaten
right
away.
This
makes
a
fun
activity
for
a
children’s
party;
they
love
feeding
the
fruit
and
frozen
bananas
into
the
top
of
the
machine
and
watching
the
ice
cream
come
out
below.
7.
What
does
the
author
seem
to
like
about
cherries?
A.
They
contain
protein.
B.
They
are
high
in
vitamin
A.
C.
They
have
a
pleasant
taste.
D.
They
are
rich
in
antioxidants.
8.
Why
is
fresh
lemon
juice
used
in
freezing
bananas?
A.
To
make
them
smell
better.
B.
To
keep
their
colour.
C.
To
speed
up
their
ripening.
D.
To
improve
their
nutrition.
9.
What
is
“a
juicer”
in
the
last
paragraph?
A.
A
dessert.
B.
A
drink.
C.
A
container.
D.
A
machine.
10.
From
which
is
the
text
probably
taken?
A
A
biology
textbook.
B.
A
health
magazine.
A
research
paper.
D.
A
travel
brochure.
第三部分:七选五(共5小题,每小题2分,满分10分)
Before
there
was
the
written
word,
there
was
the
language
of
dance.
Dance
expresses
love
and
hate,
joy
and
sorrow,
life
and
death,
and
everything
else
in
between.
11We
dance
from
Florida
to
Alaska,
from
north
to
south
and
sea
to
sea.
We
dance
at
weddings,
birthdays,
office
parties
and
just
to
fill
the
time.
“I
adore
dancing,”
says
Lester
Bridges,
the
owner
of
a
dance
studio
in
Iowa.
“I
can’t
imagine
doing
anything
else
with
my
life."
Bridges
runs
dance
classes
for
all
ages.
"Teaching
dance
is
wonderful.
12It’s
great
to
watch
them.
For
many
of
them,
it’s
a
way
of
meeting
people
and
having
a
social
life."
13"I
can
tell
you
about
one
young
couple,"
says
Bridges.
“They’re
learning
to
do
traditional
dances.
They
arrive
at
the
class
in
low
spirits
and
they
leave
with
a
smile.
14”
So,
do
we
dance
in
order
to
make
ourselves
feel
better,
calmer,
healthier?
Andrea
Hillier
says,
“Dance,
like
the
pattern
of
a
beating
heart,
is
life.
Even
after
all
these
years,
I
want
to
get
better
and
better.15
I
find
it
hard
to
stop!
Dancing
reminds
me
I’m
alive."
A.
So
why
do
we
dance?
B.
Dance
in
the
U.S.is
everywhere.
C.
If
you
like
dancing
outdoors,
come
to
America.
D.
My
older
students
say
it
makes
them
feel
young.
E.
I
keep
practicing
even
when
I’m
extremely
tired.
F.
Dancing
seems
to
change
their
feeling
completely.
G.
They
stayed
up
all
night
long
singing
and
dancing.

FIRE-FIGHTING
How
to
fight
a
fire
Anyone
who
uses
fire-extinguishers
should
know
a
few
basic
facts
about
how
to
make
them
work.
This
leaflet
will
tell
you
the
most
important
things
to
remember
if
you
have
to
put
a
fire
out.
Water
extinguishers
You
can
put
most
fires
out
with
water
extinguishers.
However,
you
should
not
use
water
extinguishers
if
the
fire
involves
electrical
equipment
or
if
it
has
been
started
by
flammable
(易燃的)
liquids
such
as
petrol.
As
in
all
fires,
make
sure
that
the
wind
is
behind
you

if
you
do
this,
the
smoke
will
blow
away
from
you.
Point
the
jet
of
water
at
the
bottom
of
the
fire
and
move
it
slowly
higher.
Remember
that
you
should
only
use
extinguishers
for
small
fires.
If
there
is
any
danger
of
the
fire
spreading
to
anything
that
can
explode,
you
should
not
try
to
put
the
fire
out
yourself.
Instead,
leave
the
building
immediately,
and
call
the
fire
brigade.
Foam
(泡沫)
extinguishers
You
can
use
a
foam
extinguisher
for
fire
caused
by
burning
liquids
such
as
petrol.
Never
point
the
jet
directly
into
the
liquid
itself,
as
this
may
make
it
splash
and
spread
the
fire.
Instead,
try
and
point
the
extinguisher
up
into
the
air
so
that
the
foam
goes
up
and
falls
on
top
of
the
burning
liquid.
Whatever
the
kind
of
fire,
do
not
stand
up
straight

if
you
can
stay
down,
this
will
help
you
to
avoid
the
smoke,
and
you
may
be
able
to
get
closer
to
the
fire.
Get
out
of
the
building
at
once
if
you
think
your
escape
route
might
be
cut
off
by
smoke
or
fire.
Carbon
Dioxide
(CO2)
extinguishers
Some
fire
extinguishers
are
filled
with
a
gas
called
carbon
dioxide.
You
can
use
these
to
put
out
fires
which
have
been
caused
either
by
electrical
equipment
or
flammable
liquids.
If
the
fire
has
been
caused
by
electrical
equipment,
switch
the
equipment
off
and
point
the
extinguisher
straight
at
the
fire.
If
the
fire
has
been
caused
by
a
liquid
like
petrol,
point
the
extinguisher
at
the
nearest
edge
of
the
fire,
and
move
it
from
side
to
side.
Remember,
never
stay
in
a
building
if
it
is
dangerous
to
do
so,
or
if
the
fire
grows
beyond
your
control.
Make
sure
you
are
standing
near
an
exit
in
case
this
happens.
1.Which
of
the
following
statements
is
NOT
TRUE
according
to
the
passage?
A.You
cannot
put
all
fires
out
with
water
extinguishers.
B.In
case
of
fire,
stay
down
to
protect
yourself
from
the
smoke.
C.If
the
fire
might
cause
any
further
explosion,
ask
for
professional
help.
D.Foam
extinguishers
are
for
fires
caused
by
electrical
equipment.
2.What
can
be
inferred
from
the
passage?
A.Inappropriate
use
of
fire
extinguishers
might
make
things
worse.
B.You
should
stay
in
the
building
if
your
escape
route
is
cut
off.
C.Standing
close
to
an
exit
will
absolutely
guarantee
your
safety
in
a
fire.
D.Firefighting
is
a
complicated
job
that
can
only
be
done
by
fire
brigades.
3.Who
is
the

Mark
Twain,
the
famous
American
writer,
liked
to
play
jokes
on
others.
But
once
a
joke
was
played
on
him.
One
day
Mark
Twain
was
invited
to
give
a
talk
in
a
small
town.
At
lunch
he
met
a
young
man,
one
of
his
friends.The
young
man
said
that
he
has
an
uncle
with
him.
He
told
Twain
that
his
uncle
never
laughed
or
smiled,
and
that
nobody
and
nothing
was
able
to
make
his
uncle
smile
or
laugh.
"You
bring
your
uncle
to
my
talk
tonight,
"said
Mark
Twain.
"I'm
sure
I
can
make
him
laugh".
That
evening
the
young
man
and
his
uncle
sat
in
the
front.
Mark
Twain
began
to
speak.
He
told
several
funny
stories.
This
made
everyone
in
the
room
laugh.But
the
man
never
even
smiled.
Mark
Twain
told
more
funny
stories,
but
the
old
man
still
kept
quiet.
Mark
Twain
told
his
funny
stories.
Finally
he
stopped.
He
was
tired
and
quite
disappointed(失望的).
Some
days
later,
Mark
Twain
told
another
friend
of
his
about
what
had
happened.
"Oh,"
said
his
friend.
"I
know
that
old
man.
He's
been

of
ways.
Without
the
sun,
life
would
not
have
developed.
It
gives
us
energy
and
heats
our
world.
The
sun
gives
us
light
and
thus
in
turn
we
are
able
to
see
the
beautiful

in
our

It
makes
us
feel
good
when
we
feel
the

of
its

We
store
the
energy
from
the

Without
sunlight
we
would

Sunlight
gives

All
living
things
live

a
food

and
at
the
beginning
of
the
food
chain
comes
the
plant
which
absorbs
sunlight

transforms
light

into
chemical
energy,
which
will
then
be
absorbed
by
another
life
to
be
turned
into
a
new
kind

so
on.
One
of
the
benefits
that
we
can

is
that
we

the
sharper
the

of
the
sun’s

which
means
that
sunlight

这是一篇说明文。本文主要介绍了如何正确使用不同的灭火器和使用时的注意事项。
1.细节理解题。根据文中“You
can
put
most
fires
out
with
water
extinguishers.”(你用水灭火器可以扑灭大部分的火)可知,水灭火器只能扑灭大部分的火,所以A项You
cannot
put
all
fires
out
with
water
extinguishers.你不能用水灭火器扑灭所有的火,与原文意思相符,所以A项正确;根据文中“Whatever
the
kind
of
fire,
do
not
stand
up
straight

if
you
can
stay
down,
this
will
help
you
to
avoid
the
smoke”(不论什么样的火,不要一直站着-如果你能趴下,这样可以帮你避免烟)可知,趴下是可以有效避免烟的伤害的,所以B项In
case
of
fire,
stay
down
to
protect
yourself
from
the
smoke.如果有火,趴下可以让你免受烟的伤害,与文中意思相符,所以B项正确;根据文中“If
there
is
any
danger
of
the
fire
spreading
to
anything
that
can
explode,
you
should
not
try
to
put
the
fire
out
yourself.
Instead,
leave
the
building
immediately,
and
call
the
fire
brigade.”(当所处火灾有进一步的扩散到可能引起爆炸的任何东西时,你不应该独自灭火,而是应该立即离开那个建筑物并且给消防队打电话。)可知,火灾有进一步危险的时候,应该先自保离开火灾现场,并打电话报火警,所以C项,If
the
fire
might
cause
any
further
explosion,
ask
for
professional
help.如果火可能会引起进一步的爆炸,向专业人求助,与原文意思相符,所以C项正确;根据文中“You
can
use
a
foam
extinguisher
for
fire
caused
by
burning
liquids
such
as
petrol.”(当出现像汽油等液体引起的火灾时可以用泡沫灭火器来灭火)可知,泡沫灭火器是针对液体引起的火灾的,而D项,Foam
extinguishers
are
for
fires
caused
by
electrical
equipment.泡沫灭火器用来扑灭由电器引起的火灾,与原文意思不符,所以D项错误,综上所述,只有D项不正确,故选D项。
2.推理判断题。纵观全文可知,本文主要介绍不同的灭火器灭火,但不同灭火器的使用方法会因为不同类型的火灾也有所不同,所以在灭火时一定要正确使用灭火器,那么言外之意就是,如果没有正确使用灭火器也可能会使火灾更加恶化,所以A项,Inappropriate
use
of
fire
extinguishers
might
make
things
worse.不正确的使用灭火器可能会使事情恶化,是正确的;根据文中“Get
out
of
the
building
at
once
if
you
think
your
escape
route
might
be
cut
off
by
smoke
or
fire.
”(如果逃跑路线被火或者烟切断,你应该立刻离开楼里),可知B项,You
should
stay
in
the
building
if
your
escape
route
is
cut
off.
如果逃跑路线被切断,你应该待在楼里,与原文不符,所以B项错误;C项Standing
close
to
an
exit
will
absolutely
guarantee
your
safety
in
a
fire.在火灾中,站在靠近出口的地方可以绝对保证你的安全,说法太绝对,所以C项错误;D项Firefighting
is
a
complicated
job
that
can
only
be
done
by
fire
brigades.灭火是一项非常复杂的工作,所以只能由消防队来做这个工作。从文中介绍不同的灭火器使用方法可以知道,灭火并没有很复杂,只是需要我们掌握灭火器正确使用方法,除非火灾非常危险而且有爆炸的可能,才需要求助消防队,所以D项错误
,综上所述,只有A项正确,是我们可以从文中推理出来的,故选A项。
3.推理判断题。从文中可以知道文章在介绍灭火器的使用方法和注意事项,操作简单明了,而且文中多次提出只有特殊情况下才需要我们向消防队的专业人士寻求帮助,所以我们可以看出这篇文章的潜在读者应该是大众读者,即一般公众,B项正确,故选B项。

his
uncle
smile
or
laugh.(他告诉吐温,他的叔叔从不笑或微笑,没有人或任何事能够使他的叔叔微笑或大笑。)”可知,他朋友的叔叔不会笑,故选C项。
7.细节理解题。根据文章第三段最后一句“

energy
and
so
on.”可知,阳光使万物保持平衡。所有的生物都生活在一个食物链中,在食物链的开始,植物吸收阳光,将光能转化为化学能,然后被另一个生命吸收,转化为一种新的能量等等。由此可知,阳光使万物保持平衡
是因为它有助于传递能量。故选A项。
9.细节理解题。根据第四段“It
helps
us
to
keep
a
healthy
body,
control
the
amount
of
minerals
in
the
body,
which
is
needed
to
help
keep
our
bones
and
teeth
in
good
condition
and
helps
to
keep
a
well-balanced
mind.”可知,它帮助我们保持健康的身体,控制身体中矿物质的含量,这些矿物质是保持骨骼和牙齿处于良好状态所需的,有助于保持良好的心理平衡。所以阳光可以帮助人们保持骨骼和牙齿的健康。故选C项。
10.主旨大意题。根据最后一段“Different
places
on
the
earth
receive
varying
degrees
of
sunlight,
which
will
decide
the
region’s
climate.
For
example,
the

heat
than
lower
latitude
areas
nearer
the
equator.”可知,地球上不同的地方接受不同程度的阳光,这将决定该地区的气候。由此可知,最后一段的大意是阳光如何影响气候。故选B项。
11.主旨大意题。根据第一段“Though
it
is
not

us
to
expose
ourselves
to
sunlight
for

with
the______problem.
A.confusing;confusing
B.confused;confused
C.confusing;confused
D.confused;confusing
解析
本题第二个空比较简单,选confusing表示“令人困惑的(难题)”。第一个空往往也受此影响误选confusing,再加上confused多用来指人,选错的可能性就会更大。确定第一个空的关键:confusing
look是令别人困惑的一种表情;而confused
look是当事人内心感到困惑时流露出的表情。
答案
D

much
twice
解析 由句意可知,“我”的两千元早已经付了,因此回答表示“不懊悔。我愿意付两倍的钱”。regret接动词?ing形式时,表示“后悔已经做过的事情”;as
much修饰倍数时,应该把倍数放在前面。

Catherine
Svilicic
never
would
have
guessed
her
adopted
rescue
dog
Khan
would
act
out
with
aggression(攻击性)towards
her
young
17-month-old
baby,
Charlotte!
The
day
began
with
the
usual
playtime
outside.
Although
baby
Charlotte
had
her
parents
watching
from
a
distance,
they
did
not
notice
anything
out
of
the
ordinary.
Charlotte
and
the
new
dog
had
been
making
a
habit
of
playing
like
this.
However,
things
were
different
that
day.
Catherine
watched
as
Khan
threw
her
baby
across
their
backyard!
Why
was
Khan
acting
as
though
a
lovely
child
was
a
threat?
Catherine
watched
him
drag
her
child,
hoping
he
would
stop.
Sadly,
it
seemed
Catherine
needed
to
immediately
intervene
because
this
was
only
the
beginning.
He
tightly
clenched
his
jaws(咬紧牙关)into
her
diaper(纸尿裤)to
throw
her
back
and
forth,
This
is
when
things
got
out
of
hand.
Certainly,
Catherine
was
angry
with
Khan
for
throwing
her
girl.
However,
something
deep
down
told
Catherine
there
was
more
to
this
than
what
they
were
seeing.
Little
did
she
know,
these
doubts
would
turn
out
to
be
true.
But
her
baby
was
still
in
great
danger,
Catherine
noted
that
her
baby
seemed
a
target.
That
moment
we
mentioned
when
the
dog
sunk
his
teeth
into
Charlotte’s
diaper
and
used
his
strength
to
throw
her
baby
like
“a
doll!”.
How
terrifying!
Luckily,
those
teeth
did
not
go
near
her
skin
and
especially
face
and
the
baby
was
actually
quite
calm.
Perhaps,
the
baby
understood
something
about
Khan’s
intentions.
Catherine
knew
that
she
needed
to
act
fast
and
catch
her
poor
child.
Something
happening
to
Khan
next
that
confused
the
whole
family.
While
the
baby
stayed
calm,
others
could
not
help
but
panic.
Charlotte’s
mother
said,
“Had
I
not
seen
it
with
my
very
own
eyes,
I’d
never
have
believed
it,
”Therefore,
she
ran
to
Charlotte
and
carried
her
to
safety.

who________injured
in

accident.
A.was
B.were
C.has
been
D.have
been
解析 考查时态及主谓一致。句意为:——你了解这起事故吗?——是汤姆而不是他的两个妹妹在车祸中受伤了。根据句意可知题干叙述的是发生在过去的事情,要用过去时态,又因强调句强调的是Tom而不是his
two
younger
sisters,所以谓语动词要用单数。
答案 A

name.
A.a;the

D.the;a
解析 第一空为不可数名词,并且表示泛指所以不用冠词;第二空是指海尔变成了一个很受欢迎的名字表示泛指用a。
答案 B

A.they

C.they
had
begun
D.had
they
begun
解析 句意为:仅仅当他们很长时间没有收到她的来信时,他们才开始怀疑她是否发生了什么不好的事情。“only+状语从句”放在句首时,句子的主谓部分要进行部分倒装;D项用了过去完成时,表示begin的动作发生在主句谓语的动作之前,显然不合逻辑,所以排除D,故选B。
答案 B

C.were

a

D.a
crowd
of
young
girls
were
walking
解析 考查倒装结构。当out,
in,
away,
there,
here等副词位于句首时,且主句为名词时,常构成全部倒装。该句的正常语序是:a
crowd
of
young
girls
walked
out,

答案 A

A.look

of
C.pay

to
D.look

upon
解析 考查短语辨析。A项“盼望”;B项“高度评价”;C项“注意”;D项“蔑视;瞧不起”。句意:我们不应当蔑视和嘲笑那些没有遮风挡雨的家的人们,而是应该同情他们。
答案 D

A.be
referred
to
be
bought
B.be
referred
to

C.referred

be
bought
D.referred
to
being
bought
解析 referred
to为过去分词短语用作后置定语,相当于定语从句which
was
referred
to。suggest后的宾语从句的谓语动词用“should+动词原形”结构,should可以省略;该句中dictionary与buy之间存在被动关系,应用被动语态,即用(should)be
bought。

解析 考查动词短语辨析。句意:两年前我离开学校,但是当我回想起学校生活时,感觉好像一个世纪之前似的。look
back
upon“回想”,符合句意。
答案 D

smoke.
—Exactly!So
our

a________against
smoking.
A.war
B.campaign
C.motion
D.struggle
解析 考查名词辨析。A项的意思是“战争”;B项的意思是“运动”;C项的意思是“提议”;D项的意思是“斗争”。显然只有B项符合答语的句意,即“的确!所以我们国家正在计划开展一项戒烟运动”。

答案 B

A.find

out为正确选项。
