一、知识目标：学生能够听、说、读、写形容词的比较级形式：taller, stronger, older, younger和shorter.
二、能力目标：
1.学生能够用句型：I’m … m tall.He’s/She’s … cm tall.”来描述自己和他人的身高。
2.学生能用句型“You ‘re taller than me.I’m older than you.”进行年龄和身高的比较。
3.学生能够运用新学的内容完成”Do a survey and report”任务。
三、情感目标：学生能够运用所学语言进行交际，树立学习英语的信心。
重点难点
重点：学生能够听、说、读、写五个形容词比较级形式，并能用含有比较级的句型进行替换关键词的问答。
难点：身高的表达法。

1.Measure(测量)：Look at me,how tall am I,guess?I am 1.61m.How tall are you?强调1.61m的读法，然后请两名学生上前，帮他们测量身高，并公布测量结果：He /She is … cm tall.
2.板书该句子并领读，重点教读m,metre,cm,centimeter.
3.引导学生比较两人的身高：A is tall,B is taller.B is taller than A.并由此引出单词的比较级taller和shorter并用… is taller than … … is shorter than …操练
4.引导学生观察比较级的简单构成。再让学生写出下列词的比较级形式：young old strong long
5.强化句型… is younger/older/shorter/longer than …
