Usually, It falls on the first day of January in lunar calendar and is celebrated by Chinese all over the world. On New Year's Eve, people usually put up Spring Festival couplets on their doors and stay up to meet the new year. No matter how far away or how busy we are, we will try to come home for the celebration. all the family members make dumplings and have a feast together. Children have great fun in setting off fireworks. Parents take their kids to pay New Year's visit to relatives or friends and get red packets. In addition to these traditional activities, people play lion dance and go to temple fair .In the south people eat Nian-gao ,Nowadays ,people have found new ways to celebrate it such as traveling and sending best wishes through WeChat。
