Good afternoon, My topic is made up of six parts. It includes Teaching material analysis, Teaching students, Teaching targets, Teaching and learning methods ,Teaching procedures and blackboard design.
一. Teaching material analysis.
Today I’m going to talk about Unit 9 This unit is about the knowledge of geography and nature. According to this unit, the students can revise comparative and superlative of adjectives. Know how to express number in the article then enable to talk about nature disasters and write them to practice their writing. Today’s lesson is unit10 sectionB3a-4, this part is about nature disasters and write a description of them
This plays a very important role in the English teaching of this unit. By studying this lesson, Ss can improve their writing ability. The Ss should receive some moral education.
二 Student analysis
1 The students in Grade Four polarize seriously, one group can master how to learn English, but the other couldn’t do it well. And they couldn’t think in English. They couldn’t master based knowledge of English.

四 .Teaching methods and learning methods.
1 Teaching methods
In this lesson I’ll mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will get the students finish tasks by reading and writing to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the article. I will arrange five tasks to finish my targets

② Get the Ss to form fast reading habit.
五.Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing.
I’ll finish this lesson in three steps.
Step 1. Warm-up
Use some pictures about disasters to lead in the class.
The teacher asks “There are many kinds of natural disasters in the world. Can you name some ” and show some pictures and help the students to list the disasters.
This step provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step.
Step 2. Present the new class. Now I’ll mainly talk about this step. I will use PPT to learn about flooding in history
First according to article, fill in the blanks then answer some questions, after that listen to the tape and deal with language points. Do some exercise to drill them.
Purpose: To present the key structures for the Ss to learn
and grasp the meanings and master the language points
Step 3Writing. Follow 3a to write short passage to practice the sentence patterns. write a short passage using given message.
Purpose: Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Ss’ ability of writing I also check the knowledge Ss have learned in this period.
Step 4 Summary sum up today ’s class.
Step 5. Homework
Finish off today’s composition to revise writing. Correct their mistakes.

Explanation
Flooding is one of the biggest problems in the world. In August 2005, there was a serious flood in north eastern China. In Fuchun more than 100 millimeters of rain fell, and the water level became very high. Eventually about 6800 homes disappeared under water. Soldiers worked hard to save people, and tried to prevent the water from rising higher by using bags filled with sand.

At the same time on the other side of the world, a typhoon caused a flood that covered the city of New Orleans in the United States. Much of this city lies three meters below sea level. Many people got away from the city early enough, but about 30000 stayed to try to save their homes. The things went from bad to worse. The longer people waited for help, the more dangerous the situstion became. In the end about 1000 people died in the flood.
