┃Teaching steps┃
Step 1:Lead-in Lead-in by discussing the following questions:
1.How many clothes words do you know ?What are they?
2.What is your favourite clothes?
3.How many colours words do you know ?What are they?
4.What is your favourite colour?
5.Do you like blue?
Discuss the questions in groups.The teacher shows some pictures of different colours and things,such as blue,pink,blouse,skirt,shirt.
Ask the students to talk about them for three minutes,and then let them present their results in class.
Step 2:Listening
Listen to the tape and find the answers to the questions:
1 Can Jenny get a new skirt?
2What colour does she want?
3 What can she wear with it?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3:Listening
1.Listen the dialogues and decide the following statements are true or false:
a.Jenny can wear her blouse with the skirt.
b.Kim doesn’t like blue.
2.Listen the dialogues again and fill in the blanks.
3.Finish the task in class orally.
Step 4:Listening and practice
1.Listen the tape and fill in the blanks about part2.
2Ask students to write the answers on the blackboard
3.Check the answers .
4.Work with your partner,and act out the dialogue between Jenny and Kim.
Step 5:Write a short note
Suppose you are going to introduce your favourite colour to us.Write a short note.Remember to tell what your name is and what colour you like.
Practice for a while.Then let some students read their notes in front of the class.
Step 6:Come to“Let’s Do It!”
1.Read the lesson again and finish Exercise 2.
Work with your partner,and act out the Dialogue.
2.Suppose you and your partner are Jenny and Kim.
3.Practice for a while.Then ask some students to act out the dialogue in front of the class.
