Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aims :
1) Be able to listen and read the words and dialogues in lesson22.
2) Enable students to say some words about food and drinks .The expressions about how to order the food in the restaurant.

1) Enable students to ask the price of sth and order in the restaurant.
2) Enhance students’ ability of practical applications.?
3. Emotion aim: The table manners in China and other countries.
Learning situation analysis
? ?The students of grade7 have learned English for almost four years. They can use simple sentences to express themselves. They’re interested in English and willing to speak English more.
Key points:
1) Some words and phrases: order, beef, dumpling, something, problem, menu, bottle, a can of.
2) Help the students grasp the expressions to ask the price and order.
Difficult points:
1)How to ask the price of sth and order in restaurant.
2)Some difficult sentences: Are you ready to order? How much is/are…? Would you like…? No problem/Would you like something to drink? Yes,? please.

Step1:Warming up
1) Greetings.?

Step2:Lead-in
1.With some pictures ask the Ss to name some foods and drinks.
2.Ask and answer

Step3:Presentation
1.New words
1)Ask:Do you know how to order the food in a restaurant?and who can help you to order the food?
2)Read the text and circle the new words.
3)Learn the new words.
2.Listening
1)Show pictures of food to students, Let them guess their names.
2)Listen to the tape and find the names of these food.
3)Students look at the pictures and practice the main sentences of this lesson.

3.Reading
1)Let students?read the text and match each person with the food and drinks.

3)Let students read and repeat for a few minutes, then let some Ss act out the dialogue in groups.

Work in pairs and make up a dialogue.
1)Show a menu to the class and let students take out their menu that they prepared.
