教学重点:使学生理解并且会说本课对话。
教学难点:能运用已学知识谈论自己最喜爱的月份。
教具准备:多媒体课件,P31 Conversation的录音,山羊布偶
教学过程:
Ⅰ. Warm-up
Let’s sing: P34 February is after January.
说明评价方法。
Ⅱ. Review
用日历复习1至6月。
Hearing Competition:(The teacher asks a question, a student repeats the question, another student answers the question.)
1) Is January before February?
2)Is March after April
3)Is May after June
4)Is April before May
3. Review the festivals in January to June.
1)Look at the pictures and speak out the festivals,then answer my question:
When’s Tree-planting Day/ Mother’s Day/Father’s Day
2)Present 6 festivals, read them together and practise in groups: When’s …

3)Ask 3 pairs to ask and answer.
Ⅲ. Presentation
1.Lead-in
When’s winter holiday (It’s in January and February.)
What’s the weather like in January and February (It’s cold.)
What can we do in January and February (We can go ice-skating.)
Present the picture of going ice-skating and write it dowm on blackboard.
When can we go ice-skating (We can go in winter holiday.)
2. T: We know Children’s Day is in June. What’s the weather like in June (Present a picture of the beach.) It’s sunny and hot. What can we do Where can we go
Present and teach “beach”. “We can go to the beach in June.”
3. Show pictures of Gogo and Tony: Look, Tony and Gogo like going ice-skating. Can they go ice-skaitng now What happened Let’s watch the video.
1) First, look at the questions.(Read them.)
A. Can they go ice-skating now
B. What’s the month now
C. When can they go ice-skating
D. Is May before winter holiday
2) Watch the video again.
3) Discuss the questions in groups of 4, and write down the answers on the answering sheets, then check the answers in 3 minutes.
4) Read after the tape sentence by sentence.
5) Practice Conversation in groups in 3 minutes.
6) Show time: Act out the dialogs in front of the class.
Ⅳ. Extension
1. When the last group finishes their show, Teacher says: Tony, Jenny and Gogo are going to the beach. Now , here comes a goat. Teacher puts her right hand in the puppet goat, raise it up slowly from the back of the teacher’s desk and say in the tune of a male goat:
Hello, I’m Mr. Goat. I like May. It’s in spring. It’s warm. I can eat a lot of grass and leaves. We have Grass Day and Leaves Day in May. It’s so fun. What about you
2. Mr. Goat says: Can you tell me your favorite month Now take out your answering sheets,discuss in groups and write down on the answering sheets.
3. Ask 3 students to read their compositions in front of the class.

Write a short passage about your family or your good friend’s favorite month.
