文化习俗
1. 世界上不同国家和地区不同的季节和天气有很大的区别。北京和悉尼在同一时间季节正好相反。北京位于北半球,悉尼位于南半球。北京气候四季分明,冬季寒冷干燥,夏季高温多雨。而悉尼全年温和湿润,风和日丽。
2. 在西方国家,每年的十月三十一日是Halloween(万圣节的前夕),这种夜间节日,多半是为儿童过的,成年人一般不过。因此,孩子们最喜欢这个节日。节日那天晚上,他们戴上假面具吓唬父母和其他大人,千方百计装扮成小鬼、妖怪、女巫等。孩子们挨家去串门,索要糖果或零钱,每到一家门口就喊:“Tick or treat, smell my feet, give me something nice to eat.”每户人家都会准备许多糖果来招待他们。人们把刻成人脸形南瓜灯笼挂在窗上或门口,庆祝万圣节。现在,美国的儿童对万圣节有了新的理解和做法。他们不再要什么吃的和玩的东西,而是要小钱,然后再把钱寄给贫穷国家的儿童,他们的座右铭是“Let’s share instead of scare.”一九六六年,约有三百五十万美国儿童集资二百七十万美元献给了一百二十个国家的儿童。这一伟大的人道主义举动获得了一九六八年诺贝尔和平奖。

此时正值冬末春初,世间万物正在悄然发生着变化。引导学生观察身边天气的变化,并用英语表达出来,学生对四季的学习必然热情高涨。同时充分利用已学过的四年级下册What's the weather like 与五年级上册What's your favourite … 等句子,温故而知新,引出新知识。

2. Guessing game.

对错碰碰乐。
两队各派一个代表在前,把春、夏、秋、冬四季的单词卡两套打乱顺序反扣在讲桌上。同学们一齐问:两个代表分别回答,然后抽取词卡给大家看。如果不一致,游戏继续。最先说的与词卡相同的队获胜。

【学情分析】
学生在上节英语课已经学会了四季单词,学习热情比较高。本节课让学生在新句型中套用单词,既巩固了生词,又锻炼了学生实际运用能力。可让学生以小组为单位进行练习。

【学情分析】
学生在前几节英语课已学会了季节类和活动类单词,学习都很积极,学习热情也比较高。本节课让学生运用新句型询问活动,结合实际替换关键词,来锻炼学生实际运用能力。本节课还可以复习上节课的内容,可巩固学生的记忆。
【教学目标】

能够就所喜欢的季节及原因进行问答,如:
What's your favourite season Which season do you like best Why do you like summer/winter Because I can...

1. 能够听懂、会说句型:What's your favourite season ... Why do you like... Because I can...

录音机与磁带、卡通人物头像、教学卡片、单词和句型卡片、每生一张表格、学生自制四季活动图片。

一、Warming up/Revision(热身/复习)
1.情绪热身
(1)Guessing game
请学生表演动作,其他人猜动词或词组。
(2)TPR活动
Swim, swim, swim, I can swim.
Skate, skate, skate, I can skate.
Fly, fly kites. Plant, plant trees.

2.划分小组
把学生以swim, skate, kite, snowman命名分成四队,用简笔画小人作为评价工具。

教师发给学生每人一张表格(附后),让学生就喜欢的季节及原因进行调查和记录。示范:

要求学生在规定时间内尽可能多地询问同学,并完成表格。

Zoom和 Zip是深受学生喜爱的卡通人物,本节课的重点句型前面已经学过,运用TPR活动教学,学生可以很好地理解课文,甚至复述。

要求学生能在日常生活中正确运用本课的句型来提问最喜欢的季节及回答原因,提高学生英语交际能力。
二、知识目标
1.能够听、说、读、写句子:--- Why do you like summer --- Because I can swim in the lake. --- Why do you like winter --- Because I can sleep a time.并能够在情景中熟练运用。
2. 能够理解短文的意义,并能正确完成下面的两个问题。

听完后,让学生回答问题,把相应的动作图片或重要单词的卡片贴在黑板上。

指导学生认真书写四会句子,并用心记忆。
4. TPR活动:分三遍进行。第一遍,教师一边缓慢地讲故事,一边做相应的动作,一边指黑板上对应图片和卡片。学生听故事,做相应的动作;第二遍,教师一边讲故事,一边做动作,一边指图片和卡片,其中,重点单词只做动作,引导学生说。学生一边听故事一边随着老师讲故事,说出故事中的重要内容,一边做相应的动作;第三遍,教师一边做相应的动作,一边指黑板上对应图片和卡片。学生一边讲故事,一边做相应的动作。(第三遍可以多做几遍,使大部分学生能够复述。)
【设计意图】TPR活动把全身各感官都调动起来,适合学生的年龄和心理特点,很受学生喜欢,在又说又动的过程中学习知识,寓教于乐,学习效率高。
