I
often
wonder
how
people
can
get
so
angry,
so
deep
in
their
own
belief
that
they
become
deaf
to
anything
that
may
differ
from
their
beliefs.
I’ve
often
been
told
that
I’m
too
open-minded,
listening
to
others’
viewpoints
so
openly
that
they
become
my
own.
Maybe
that
comes
from
my
practice
of
actively
listening
to
others.
It
means
that
I
do
really
hear
them
instead
of
responding
only
out
of
politeness.
Maybe
it’s
because
I
was
brought
up
by
parents
who
didn’t
necessarily
speak
to
me
about
respecting
others
but
modeled
it
for
me
through
their
own
actions.
They
treated
everyone
equally,
from
what
I
remember,
never
looking
down
upon
others
because
they
were
different
from
us.
As
I
raise
my
daughters,
I
try
my
best
to
show
them
love
and
understanding
in
all
situations.
When
they
misbehave,
talk
back,
or
break
the
rules,
I’ll
lovingly
analyze
the
reasons
behind
their
behavior.
I’ll
be
tolerant(宽容的)towards
their
differing
opinions
and
become
open
and
curious
about
their
ideas.
And
I’ll
be
mindful
of
how
I
treat
and
speak
to
others,
showing
equal
respect
to
everyone.
My
expectation
is
that
if
I
show
my
daughters
unconditional
love
and
acceptance,
they’ll
learn
to
show
the
same
love
to
others.
I
hope
that
they
will
not
see
difference
as
a
threat,
but
as
a
way
to
add
richness
to
their
very
existence.
It’s
beautiful
to
live
in
a
world
filled
with
so
many
differences.
So,
as
I
write
this,
welcoming
my
second
daughter
to
my
family,
I’m
fully
aware
that
change
begins
with
how
I
act
and
what
decisions
I
make.
Every
generation
carries
its
own
set
of
problems.
All
we
have
control
over
is
how
we
respond
to
those
problems.
This
is
what
I
will
teach
my
girls:
how
to
control
their
own
emotional
world;
how
to
hold
onto
love
as
well
as
their
beliefs
and
values;
how
to
remember
that
hate
and
anger
are
never
the
answer
and
that
tolerance
and
love
will
always
take
them
further
in
life.
24.
The
author
seems
different
from
other
people
in
terms
of
__________.
A.
her
deep
understanding
of
belief
B.
her
reaction
to
different
opinions
C.
her
negative
views
on
social
politeness
D.
her
confusing
attitude
towards
her
parents
25.
What
does
the
author
intend
to
do
as
for
raising
her
kids?
A.
Set
them
an
example
of
love
and
acceptance.
B.
Teach
them
some
useful
conversation
skills.
C.
Punish
them
heavily
for
their
bad
behaviors.
D.
Encourage

to

different
opinions.

put
the

the
best

for
this

The

of
social

The

and
tolerance
C.
The
ways
to
effectively
listen
to
others
D.
The

towards

and

C
Binge-watching(追剧)your
favorite
TV
series
is
bad
for
your
brain.
Dr.
Randall
Wright,
based
in
Texas,
said
the
need
to
watch
episode(集)after
episode
has
a
similar
influence
on
the
brain
to
gambling(赌博).
What’s
more,
it
often
leads
to
social
loneliness,
snacking
on
junk
food
and
a
shortage
of
exercise
and
sleep,
which,
over
time,
is
bad
for
the
brain.
When
you
let
auto-play
start
the
next
episode,
you
can
find
out
what
happens
next
and
your
brain
receives
good
feedback,
Dr.
Wright
wrote
in
an
article.
This
right-away
satisfaction
is
similar
to
gambling
where
even
after
a
win,
you
are
not
satisfied
and
want
to
continue
playing.
With
binge-watching,
you
are
not
satisfied
with
stopping
after
episode
five
and
want
to
continue
watching.
This
cycle
coupled
with
the
snacking
and
the
long
time
sitting
can
lead
to
unhealthy
changes
in
your
brain
and
body
over
time.
Dr.
Wright
said,
“Binge-watching
itself
is
not
bad.
It
becomes
problematic
when
you
are
watching
a
third,
fourth
or
fifth
episode
instead
of
doing
healthy
activities.”
But
he
said
it
is
possible
to
avoid
the
bad
influence
of
binge-watching
with
four
tips,
including
staying
away
from
salty,
fatty,
calorific
foods,
exercising
before
a
binge-watching,
setting
an
alarm
for
sleep
and
balancing
TV
viewing
with
socializing.
If
you
add
these
tips
to
your
binge-watching
practice,
you
can
create
lasting
healthy
habits
and
still
enjoy
the
now-and-then
binge-watching
time
without
hurting
your
brain.
28.
What
might
“it”
in
paragraph
1
refer
to?
A.
Gambling.
B.
Binge-watching.
C.
TV
series.
D.
Brain.
29.
In
what
way
is
binge-watching
like
gambling?
A.
The
immediate
satisfaction.
B.
The
changes
of
feeling.
C.
The
snacking
on
junk
food.
D.
The
long
time
sitting.
30.
What
is
paragraph
3
mainly
about?
A.
The
tips
on
how
to
develop
a
healthy
lifestyle.
B.
The
reasons
why
binge-watching
is
problematic.
C.
The
ways
to
keep
away
from
binge-watching.
D.
Do’s
and
don’ts
of
binge-watching.
31.
What
may
be
the
best
title
of
the
passage?
A.

At
noon
that
day,
I
drove
back
to
my
house
after
the
performance.
Just
as
I
entered
the
living
room,
I
heard
a
gentle
sound
coming
from
the
bedroom
upstairs

it
was
the
sound
of
my
favorite
violin.
“Thief!”
I
dashed
upstairs.
Sure
enough,
as
expected,
a
boy
of
about
12
years
old
was
petting
my
violin.
The
boy
had
messy
hair
and
a
thin
face;
his
oversized
coat
seemingly
filled
with
something.
At
first
glance,
I
found
a
new
pair
of
shoes
missing.
It
seemed
that
he
was
surely
a
thief.
Then,
I
saw
his
eyes
full
of
fear
and
despair.
My
anger
was
immediately
replaced
by
a
smile.
I
asked,
“Are
you
Mr.
Ram’s
nephew,
Michael?
I’m
his
housekeeper.
Two
days
ago,
I
heard
his
nephew
living
in
the
countryside
will
come.
It
must
be
you.
You’re
really
like
him!”
Hearing
my
words,
the
boy
was
first
astonished,
but
then
quickly
said,
“Has
my
uncle
gone
out?
I
think
I’d
better
first
go
out
for
a
walk
and
visit
him
again
in
a
while.”
I
nodded
and
asked
the
boy
who
was
preparing
to
put
down
the
violin,
“Do
you
like
to
play
the
violin
so
much?”
Yes,
but
I’m
so
poor
that
I
can’t
afford
it,”
the
boy
replied.
“Then,
I
give
this
violin
to
you.”
The
boy
looked
at
me
questioningly,
but
he
picked
up
the
violin.
Going
out
to
the
living
room,
he
suddenly
saw
on
the
wall
my
huge
color
photo
I
performed
in
the
Sydney
Opera
House.
He
trembled(颤抖)for
a
moment
and
ran
out
without
looking
back.
I
was
sure
that
the
boy
had
understood
what
happened
because
no
one
would
decorate
the
living
room
with
the
housekeeper’s
photo.
A
few
years
later,
at
a
music
competition
of
senior
high
school
students
in
Melbourne,
I
was
invited
to
judge
the
final.
Finally,
a
violin
player
called
Merritt
won
the
first
prize
with
his
strength!
After
the
award,
Merritt
ran
to
me
holding
a
violin
box,
excited,
asked,
“Mr.
Brian,
do
you
still
know
me?
You
have
given
me
a
violin,
which
I
have
been
treasuring
until
today!
Today,
I
can
give
back
this
violin
to
you
without
regret…”
It
turned
out
that
he
was
“Mr.
Ram’s
nephew
Michael”!
Tears
welled
up
in
my
eyes.
32.

I’ve
never
thought
that
a
fundraiser
could
have
had
such
a
huge
influence
on
my
life.
Back
in
5th
grade,
our
school
announced
a
fundraiser
and
each
class
would
get
a
box
to
fill
it
up
with
small
36
.
To
make
my
class
to
come
to
the
first
place
in
the
fundraiser,
I
took
two
fifty-dollar
bills
37
to
school
and
tossed
them
into
the
box.
Two
weeks
later,
my
parents
asked
me
about
the
38
.
They
said
they
had
discovered
the
truth
and
weren’t
39
,
but
I
must
do
something
to
40
it.
My
dad
had
the
perfect
idea
in
mind.
The
day
41
Christmas,
he
took
me
to
St.
John’s
Hospice
and
said
we
were
going
to
be
42
in
the
kitchen,
making
meals
for
the
300—400
43
men
that
came
in
each
day.
As
the
lunch
began,
I
thought
I
could
44
this
by
playing
with
my
new
toys.
But
45
the
mealtime
went
on,
I
found
these
men
were

amazing
to

第三节
七选五(共5小题;
每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Bullying(霸凌)is
a
big
problem.
It
can
make
kids
feel
hurt,
scared,
sick,
lonely,
embarrassed,
and
sad.
Bullies
might
hit,
kick,
or
push
to
hurt
kids,
or
use
words
to
call
names,
tease,
or
scare
them.
56.

Bullying
is
a
big
deal.
It
is
a
big
problem
that
affects
lots
of
kids.
57.

Being
bullied
can
make
kids
feel
really
bad,
and
the
stress
of
dealing
with
it
can
make
them
feel
sick.
Bullying
can
make
kids
not
want
to
go
to
school
and
make
school
a
place
of
fear
and
can
lead
to
violence
and
more
stress
for
everyone.
58.

Some
bullies
are
looking
for
attention.
They
might
think
bullying
is
a
way
to
be
popular
or
to
get
what
they
want.
Most
bullies
are
trying
to
make
themselves
feel
more
important.
When
they
pick
on
someone
else,
it
can
make
them
feel
big
and
powerful.
Some
bullies
come
from
families
where
everyone
is
angry
and
shouting
all
the
time.
How
to
handle
it?
59.

As
much
as
you
can,
avoid
the
bully.
You
can't
go
into
hiding
or
skip
class,
of
course.
But
if
you
can
take
a
different
route
and
avoid
the
mean
kid,
do
so.
Stand
tall
and
be
brave.
When
you're
scared
of
another
person,
you're
probably
not
feeling
you
are
brave.
But
sometimes
just
acting
bravely
is
enough
to
stop
a
bully.
Talk
to
someone
you
trust
if
you
are
bothered
by
a
bully.
60.

Make
a
plan
to
walk
with
a
friend
or
two
on
the
way
to
school,
recess,
lunch,
or
wherever
you
think
you
might
meet
the
bully.
A.
Bullies
come
in
all
shapes
and
sizes.
B.
Why
do
bullies
act
that
way?
C.
Three-quarters
of
all
kids
say
they
have
been
bullied
or
teased.
D.
If
you
can,
try
your
best
to
ignore
the
bully's
threats.
E.
Some
bullies
Even
threaten
kids
or
try
to
make
them
do
things
they
don't
want
to
do.
F.
Two
is
better
than
one
if
you're
trying
to
avoid
being
bullied.
G.
Don't
give
the
bully
a
chance.

第四部分:写作(满分25分)
Dear
editor,
I’m
writing
to
you
to
talk
about
my
opinions
about
traditional
Chinese
culture.
I
think
it’s
necessary
for
us
to
protect
and
inherit
it.
My
reasons
are
as
follows.
Firstly,
as
one
of
the
ancient
civilizations
in
the
world,
the
traditional
Chinese
culture
is
the
foundation
of
the
development
of
our
country,
and
it
can
provide
spiritual
motivation
for
Chinese
economy.
Secondly,
it
includes
many
inspiring
and
shocking
events,
through
which
we
can
learn
some
useful
things
to
make
our
country
develop
more
quickly.
Last
but
not
least,
it
is
an
important
part
of
Chinese
history,
and
inheriting
it
may
make
us
stronger
and
benefit
our
growth.
I
hope
we
Chinese
government
and
citizens
join
in
the
campaign
of
protecting
and
inheriting
traditional
Chinese
culture.
We
should
make
contributions
and
efforts
to
carry
it
forward.
Yours,

Hello,
students.
Welcome
to
biology
class.
I
am
glad
to
see
so
many
of
you.
There
are
a
hundred
students
in
here!
(18)
My
biology
classes
have
been
full
for
the
past
three
years.
Natural
sciences
are
very
popular
now.
We
will
talk
about
different
parts
of
nature
this
year.
First,
we
will
learn
about
the
ocean,
then
the
land,
and
then
the
sky.
We
will
begin
with
animals
in
the
ocean.
There
are
many
different
kinds!
Today,
we
will
talk
about
two
of
them,
dolphins
and
sea
lions.
(17)
Please
take
notes
in
your
notebook
as
I
tell
you
about
them.
(19)
You
can
also
read
about
them
in
your
textbook.
Dolphins
and
sea
lions
are
similar
animals
in
many
ways,
and
they
are
often
found
along
the
southeast
coast
of
the
United
States.
They
are
interesting
because
they
need
air
to
live,
which
is
different
from
fish.
They
are
also
very
smart.
(20)
They
are
peaceful
and
friendly
to
humans.
Tomorrow,
I
will
show
you
a
short
film
about
them
that
you
will
enjoy.
