3.Listen to the song “The Mum Song”.由歌曲导入今天的话题 “Mother's Day”。

1.利用课件拓展关于母亲节起源的知识,师生一起学习。
2.教师展示一张贺卡,说:Look!Here is a card.And it writes Happy Mother's Day on the card.Yes.It's a Mother's Day card.教师板书Mother's Day card并教读,教师还可以举例,birthday card,New Year's Day card等。
3.T:What do you usually do on Mother's Day?教师课件展示B部分餐馆、礼物、玫瑰花和巧克力图片,教学单词或短语:restaurant,gifts,rose,a box of chocolates。
4.教师播放B部分录音,学生听录音跟读单词或短语。
5.用课件出示chant,师生一起大声说唱:
A card,a letter for my mum.
Chocolates,red rose for her,too.
Mother,mother,I love you.
Mother,mother,happy Mother's Day!
A Let's Listen and Say
1.T:Next Sunday is Mother's Day.教师板书Mother's Day并教读,接着说:What will you do for your mother?教师引导学生用I'll…来回答并帮助学生理解I'll=I will。
2.教师课件展示Word Bank:make a beautiful card,a box of chocolates,buy some flowers,cook a delicious dinner并教读这些短语,尤其注意新短语a box of chocolates。
3.师生用World Bank中的短语,展开对话,如:
T:What will you do for your mother on Mother's Day?
S1:I'll make a card for her.
S2:I'll buy some flowers for her.
S3:…
4.教师播放录音,学生关上书听录音,完成下列连线题。
Peter buy a box of chocolates
Lingling cook a delicious dinner
Anne make a beautiful card
Mingming buy some flowers
5.学生打开课本,自读课文检查答案是否正确。
6.教师再次播放录音,学生跟读课文,注意新词rose,celebrate的读音。
7.师生共读课文,理解课文大意。
Step 3 Consolidation & Extension
1.Group work:“母亲节快乐”角色扮演,教师呈现母亲节的情境,学生分组扮演父亲和孩子们,表演家庭成员正在商量为了感谢母亲对家庭的贡献,他们各自将做些什么。(教师可以通过课件或板书给学生提供一些关键词或短语。)
2.Give a report小组汇报。
Step 4 Summary& Homework
1.小结:师生共同总结本课时所学的主要内容。
2.作业:(1)抄写B部分新词;(2)听录音,跟读并背诵A部分对话。

本课时B部分学习了有关母亲节礼物的几个新词,A部分的情景对话落实了B部分所学的内容。学生在本单元本节课首次接触一般将来时的另一种表达形式“I'll…”,教师要多创设将来的情境,给学生多输入一般将来时的语句,让学生在充分的感知中初步理解这一语法结构的用法。
