Unit 8　Can you show me the way to the Xinhua Hotel?

1．语音：能听读、辨认字母e在left，second，get，then等单词中的发音。
2．词汇：能听懂、会说、认读新单词和短语turn left, turn right，go straight，get on, get off，hotel，hospital，airport，railway station; 能听、说、读、写单词hotel，hospital和短语take a bus。
3．句型：能用“Can you show me the way to the…？”“You can…”问路和指路。
4．能听懂、会说A部分的对话。
5．能借助地图和语段框架，基本正确运用句型问路和指路。

Step 1　Warm?up
用课件呈现自己所在地区的地图，和学生一起观察，然后师生就去某地的路线展开问答，可用中文进行表述。
Step 2　Presentation & Practice
B Let's Learn
1．用课件呈现直行、左转弯、右转弯的交通标志，教师教授go straight，turn left/right，板书并带读。
2．小游戏：让学生记住turn left，turn right，go straight这几个指令对应的中文意思，然后教师选一名学生A，蒙住他的眼睛，再请另一位学生B用“turn left”“turn right”“go straight”来指引 A从教室的某一处走到指定的另一处。其他学生只可以用“Yes”或“No”来帮忙判断。
3．教师利用动作教授动词短语get on和get off，板书并带读。
4．利用课件呈现图片，板书并教读地点名词hospital，airport，railway station。同时复习上一单元所学单词hotel。
5．Activity: Look and say.学生根据课件呈现的图片快速说出单词或短语。
A Let's Listen and Say
1．第一遍听录音，学生通过回答问题，理解对话的主要信息。
Q：Where does the old man want to go？Which bus should he take?
2．第二遍录音，学生理解对话细节。
(1)听音排序。

(2)学生打开书，核对答案。
3．教师讲解对话，帮助学生理解生词along，crossing，take，stop，should，get off以及句子“Can you show me the way to…？”

教师课件展示几幅路标图，学生两人一组练习对话。
A：Can you show me the way to…？
B：Go straight along the road./Turn left at the first crossing./…
5．通过多种形式让学生朗读对话，跟读、分角色读、齐读等。
Step 3　Consolidation & Extension
活动：看图完成对话。教师用课件呈现不同的语段框架(含地点场所图和不同的指示路标)。两人一组练习对话，稍后请学生上台展示。如：

Step 4　Summary& Homework
1．小结：师生共同总结本课时所学的主要内容。
2．作业：(1)听录音，熟读A部分对话；(2)抄写B部分词汇。
