Step 1: Lead in
I like swimming.
He can play basketball. →宾语
I know you are right.
She thinks mooncakes are delicious. →宾语从句
Step 2: Definition
在复合句中,由一个句子充当宾语,这个句子叫作宾语从句。
宾语从句三要素:引导词、语序、时态
Step 3: Leading words
1.陈述句转化而来的宾语从句,由that引导,that在从句中不充当成分,没有词意,所以常省略。
例:请把下列句子合并为一句。
I think. You are a good student.
I think (that)you are a good student.
He thinks. July is the hottest month in China.
He thinks (that) July is the hottest month in China.
一般疑问句转化而来的宾语从句,由if/whether引导,if/whether意为“是否”,在宾语从句中不能省略。
例:请把下列句子合并为一句。
I don't know. Will she come here?
I don't know if/whether she will come here.
I wonder. Is she right?
I wonder if/whether she is right.
Tips:一般情况 下if和whether可以互换,但在以下情况只能用whether.
(1)在介词后引导宾语从句
He was worried about whether he could pass the English exam.
(2)和or not连用时
I want to know whether he is free or not.
(3)和动词不定式连用时
I asked him whether to sit next to me.
特殊疑问句转化而来的宾语从句,由特殊疑问词引导,不能省略。
例:请把下列句子合并为一句。
I ask. When does the train leave?
I ask when the train leaves.
He doesn't know. Where is the post office?
He doesn't know where the post office is.
Step 4: Order
Is she a student?
Will she come here? →疑问语序
She is a student.
She will come here. →陈述语序
1.I don't know. Will she come here?
I don't know if she will come here.
2.I ask. When does the train leave?
I ask when the train leaves. →宾语从句使用陈述语序
无论主句是陈述句还是疑问句, 也无论主从句间是什么引导词, 宾语从句一律用陈述语序, 即“引导词 + 主语+谓语+其他”。
Step 5: Tense
主句 从句
一般现在时、一般将来时 任何时态
一般过去时 与过去相关的时态
She asked. Where is Sam from?
She asked where Sam was from.
He asked. Has she finished her homework?
He asked if/whether she had finished her homework.
Tips: 如果宾语从句叙述的是客观事实、自然现象或科学真理等,从句不受主句时态的限制,用一般现在时。
He said time is money.? 他说时间就是金钱。
Step 6: Exercise
Listening to the song is relaxing. I think.(合并为一句)
I think (that) listening to the song is relaxing.
Do you have a toy car? Jack asked his brother. (改为宾语从句)
Jack asked his brother he a toy car.
3. He said he to join the basketball club.

4. Father's Day is coming. I'm thinking about for my father.

Step 7: Summary
宾语从句三姐妹,that,if/whether,wh-/how展风采。
展风采有三关,引导词、语序、时态在把关。
主从时态要一致,陈述语序永不变。
陈述请你选that,疑问需用if/whether连。
特殊问句作宾语,原来问词不用换。
三关过后莫得意,人称、标点需注意。
留意变脸的if/when,从句的简化记心间。
