B
I
was
still
a
student
pilot
at
the
time,
and
only
my
instructor
and
I
were
on
board.
While
I
was
doing
a
random
session
of
instrument
training,
I
had
my
blinder
goggles
down.
For
those
of
you
wondering,
this
literally
means
I
cannot
see
out
the
windows
and
can
only
see
down
to
my
instrument
panel.
My
instructor
was
giving
me
instructions,
and
I
was
to
only
rely
on
the
instruments---which
also
meant
that
he
was
my
only
eyes.
So
if,
for
any
reason,
he
saw
something
he
didn抰
like,
he抯
say,
揗Y
PLANE
and
take
control.
Well,
we
were
flying
along,
and
he抯
having
me
perform
various
tasks
with
the
blinders
down,
to
teach
me
about
trusting
instruments.
At
one
point,
my
blinder
goggles
slipped
down
my
nose
a
little,
and
I
caught
a
quick
glance
out
the
side
windows.
About
40
feet
off
my
wing
was
a
skydiver
with
parachute
open.
I
immediately
took
my
goggles
off
and
screamed,
搒kydivers!
and
my
instructor
had
no
idea.
He
was
my
only
eyes
during
my
training
flight,
but
he
had
me
fly
right
into
the
path
of
skydivers
without
knowing
it.
There
was
a
small
grass
land
nearby
that
sometimes
had
skydiving
flights
in
the
late
summer.
Thankfully,
he
quickly
pulled
the
yoke
and
flew
us
out
of
the
immediate
area,
but
it
still
scared
me.
Needless
to
say,
he
was
extremely
embarrassed
afterward
and
kept
telling
me
It
was
an
accident
and
I
seriously
didn抰
see
them.
I
very
well
could
have
killed
someone
without
even
knowing
it.
It
gives
me
a
sudden
fear
every
time
I
think
about
it.
24.
It
can
be
inferred
from
the
passage
that
.
A.
a
skydiver
might
have
been
killed
due
to
the
instructor抯
carelessness
B.
a
skydiver
got
into
the
wrong
path
of
the
training
plane
accidentally
C.
The
instructor
always
liked
to
take
control
of
the
plane
during
flights
D.
The
instructor
performed
various
tasks
with
the
students
blinders
down
25.
The
last
paragraph
suggests
that
.
A.
The
accident
made
the
author
lose
face
B.
The
author
was
unwilling
to
trust
the
instructor
C.
The
author
regretted
killing
someone
accidentally
D.
The
experience
left
a
long-term
influence
on
the
author.
26.
What
can
we
learn
from
the
passage?
A.
To
see
is
to

B.
One
can
never
be
too

C.
Everything
comes

What
inspires
kids
to
be
creative
and
pursue
academic
excellence?
Some
teachers
use
rewards
in
recognition
of
students
effort
or
achievement,
giving
them
prizes,
medals,
certificates,
or
money.
Psychologists
take
opposite
views
of
how
external
rewards,
from
warm
praise
to
cold
cash,
affect
motivation
and
creativity.
Behaviorists,
who
study
the
relation
between
actions
and
their
consequences,
argue
that
rewards
can
improve
performance
at
work
and
school.
Cognitive
researchers,
who
study
various
aspects
of
mental
life,
believe
that
rewards
often
destroy
creativity
by
encouraging
dependence
on
approval
and
gifts
from
others.
The
latter
view
has
gained
many
supporters,
especially
among
educators.
But
the
careful
use
of
small
monetary(金钱的)
rewards
sparks
creativity
in
primary
school
children,
suggesting
that
properly
given
stimuli(刺激)
indeed
encourage
creativity,
according
to
a
study
in
the
June
Journal
of
Personality
and
Social
Psychology.
"If
kids
know
they're
working
for
a
reward
and
can
focus
on
a
relatively
challenging
task,
they
show
the
most
creativity,"
says
Robert
Eisenberger
of
the
University
of
Delaware
in
Newark.
"But
it's
easy
to
kill
creativity
by
giving
rewards
for
poor
performance
or
creating
too
much
desire
for
rewards."
A
teacher
who
continually
draws
attention
to
rewards
or
who
hands
out
high
grades
for
ordinary
achievement
ends
up
with
students
lacking
in
creativity
and
motivation,
Eisenberger
says.
As
an
example
of
the
latter
point,
he
particularly
mentions
growing
efforts
to
tighten
grading
standards
and
adopt
failing
grades
at
major
universities.
In
earlier
grades,
the
use
of
rewarding
system,
in
which
students
handle
challenging
problems
and
receive
performance-based
points
toward
valued
rewards,
shows
promise
in
raising
effort
and
creativity,
Eisenberger
claims.
28.
Psychologists
are
divided
in
their
attitudes
toward
_____.
A.
the
choice
between
spiritual
encouragement
and
monetary
rewards
B.
the
amount
of
monetary
rewards
for
students'
creativity
C.
the
relationship
between
actions
and
their
consequences
D.
the
effects
of
external
rewards
on
students'
performance
29.
Which
of
the
following
does
NOT
belong
to
examples
of
揺xternal
rewards?
A.
Tom
received
a
certificate
for
winning
a
speech
competition.
B.
Mary
was
praised
by
the
teacher
for
making
progress
in
English.
C.
Jacky
made
great
efforts
to
enter
a
major
university.
D.
John
was
offered
a
free
summer
camp
due
to
his
hard
work.
30.
Which
of
the
following
can
best
raise
students'
creativity
according
to
Robert
Eisenberger?
A.
Assigning
them
tasks
they
have
not
dealt
with
before.
B.
Assigning
them
tasks
which
require
creativity.
C.
Giving
them
rewards
they
really
deserve.
D.
Giving
them
rewards
they
hope
for.
31.
It
can
be
inferred
from
the
passage
that
major
universities
are
trying
to
tighten
their
grading
standards
because
they
think
_____.
A.
rewarding
poor
performance
may
kill
the
creativity
of
students
B.
punishing
students
is
more
effective
than
rewarding
them
C.

Thousands
of
people
have
headed
to
an
area

the
western
United
States
to
search
for
a
hidden
treasure.
A
wealthy
art
collector
and
businessman
from
the
area
named
Forrest
Fenn
says
he
hid
the
treasure.
The
searchers
follow
nine
clues(线索)
from
a
poem
that
Fenn
wrote.
They
consider
the
poem
their
"treasure
map.
The
treasure
hunters

in
New

the
way
to
the

An
estimated
350,
000
hunters

Johnston.
She

"I
have
been
hunting
for
the
treasure
for
five
years
and
I'm
not
regretful
about
my
choice,
Johnston
said.
She
thinks
she
has
made
good
progress
on
guessing
some
of
the
clues.
So,
she's
happy
and
has
kept
her
search
going.
Forrest
Fenn
spoke
to
VOA
from
his
home
in
Santa
Fe.
The
house
is
filled
with
priceless
art
pieces
collected
over
his
lifetime.
He
talked
about
volunteering
to
fight
in
the
Vietnam
War
in
1968
and
narrowly
escaping
death
several
times
during
his
service.
Fenn
said
doctors
found
cancer
in
his
body
in
1988
and
told
him
he
only
had
about
six
months
to
live,
So
he
decided
to
put
pieces
of
gold,
jewels
and
other
valuables
in
a
bronze
box
and
leave
it
for
others
to
enjoy
after
he
was
gone.
But
Fenn
ended
up
beating
cancer.
Years
later,
is
2010,
he
decided
to
hide
the
box.

wanted
to
give
people
something
to
look
forward
to
and
everyone
is
hopeful,
"
he
said.
when
asked
whether
he
thinks
people
are
close
to
finding
the
treasure,
Fenn
said
he
really
has
no
idea.
揑t
is
possible
my
treasure
box
could
be
found
this
afternoon,
or
it
could
be
100
years
or
500
years.
Who
knows?"
he
said.
32.
According
to
the

第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
Coloring
books
are
no
longer
just
for
children!
In
fact
adult
coloring
books
are
topping
bestseller
lists.
Why
have
adults
decided
to
start
coloring
again?
36.____________
It
is
to
relieve
stress
and
anxiety.
37.____________They
take
on
full-time
jobs
that
often
demand
more
than
40
hours
a
week,
equally
as
part-time
jobs,
family
responsibilities,
and
trying
some
揻un攚hen
they
can.
For
many,
there
just
aren抰
enough
hours
in
the
day,
which
explains
why
practising
mindfulness
becomes
so
popular.
It抯
important
to
set
aside
some
time
to
calm
the
thoughts.
Coloring
can
be
an
escape
from
everyday
stress.
38.____________
A
trend
among
adults
is
to
seek
out
childhood
experiences.
That's
why
summer
camps
adults
are
cropping
up
across
the
country.
Perhaps
nothing
is
more
equal
to
childhood
than
a
coloring
book.
A
brand
new
coloring
book
with
bright
markers,
crayons,
and
colored
pencils
provide
endless
possibilities.
Adult
coloring
books
are
much
more
detailed
than
coloring
books
for
children,
but
the
emotions
are
similar
and
allow
adults
to
feel
as
if
they
are

kid
again.
It
is
to
put
down
the
technology.Adults
arc
constantly
staring
at
screens:
Desktops,
laptops,
tablets,
phones,
TVS,
etc.
39.____________Even
some
readers
have
e-readers
and
tablets
to
consume
books,
magazines,
and
newspapers.
An
adult
coloring
book
provides
a
great
outlet
to
escape
from
all
of
the
screens.
Of
course,
to
truly
realize
the
benefit
of
stepping
away
from
the
devices
for
a
period
of
time,
you
can抰
constantly
be
checking
them
while
you
color!
Turn
them
off
and
leave
them
in
another
room.
40.____________
Adults
lead
busy,
tiring
lives.
Coloring
books
are
expensive.
It
is
to
go
back
to
their
childhood.
Here
are
3
reasons
to
let
you
deeply
understand
it.
It
is
to
practise
the
patience
and
improve
their
relation
with
children.
If
you
really
can't
let
go,
there
are
coloring
apps
that
adults
can
enjoy.
Whether
for
business
or
personal
use,
it
has
become
very
difficult
to
"put
down”

Dear
Peter,
How
are
you?
I
hope
you
and
your
family
are
quite
well
and
good.
I
am
writing
to
ask
you
a
favour.
Yesterday
I
posted
to
you
a
package
of
green
tea
originated
and
produced
from
our
tea
plantation,
inside
which
is
a
brief
introduction
to
its
features
and
functional
benefits.
As
you
know,
we
Chinese
people
attach
great
importance
to
tea
and
tea
drinking.
For
us,
nothing
can
refresh
us
more
than
making
a
strong
kettle
of
tea,
securing
a
quiet
place
and
tasting
it
with
our
close
friends.
Besides,
whenever
our
guests
come
to
visit,
it
is
quite
a
necessity
to
make
and
serve
tea
to
show
our
hospitality
and
connect
people’s
hearts.
With
unique
organic
growing
methods,
our
green
tea
is
rich
in
nutrition
like
vitamins
or
microelements.
No
one
could
ever
forget
the
special
flavor
once
they
have
a
taste.
So
it
would
be
my
great
honor
if
you
could
help
to
promote
our
produce
in
your
online
shop,
of
course
at
the
most
reasonable
price
ranging
from
$
80
to
$
100
a
kilogram.
I
appreciate
your
kind
cooperation!
Yours,
Li
