B
Like
most
students,
you
probably
feel
as
if
successful
ones
in
your
class
were
just
born
smart.
No
matter
what
else
is
going
on
in
their
personal
lives
or
after-school
activities,
they
always
get
good
grades,
while
for
you,
it
is
a
struggle.
Actually,
grades
are
only
one
part
of
your
education
and
I’ve
come
to
realize
that
successful
students
are
not
more
intelligent
than
other
students.
They
have
just
more
self-control
and
stay
focused,
and
they
are
eager
to
win.
Intelligence
isn’t
a
fixed
trait.
Research
has
proven
that
students
who
believe
that
they
can
become
smarter
actually
do
become
smarter.
Belief
is
that
powerful.
Intelligence
is
a
trait
that
you
can
develop
over
time.
Don’t
ever
see
yourself
as
“dumb”
or
“dull”,
because
with
the
right
mindset
you
can
become
more
intelligent.
So
even
if
you
don’t
feel
like
the
brightest
of
the
bunch,
I’m
going
to
share
with
you
how
to
be
successful
in
school.
Rely
on
systems,
not
motivation.
Students
who
do
well
in
school
don’t
wait
until
they’re
in
the
mood
to
study
before
they
get
down
to
work.
Neither
do
they
wait
until
they
feel
motivated
before
they
start
preparing
for
an
exam.
Instead,
successful
students
rely
on
systems
to
ensure
that
they
get
the
work
done,
even
when
they
don’t
feel
like
it.
Keep
on
reading
to
find
out
what
some
of
these
systems
are.
Review
any
new
information
you’ve
learned
on
the
same
day.
This
daily
review
won’t
take
long
to
complete,
but
it’s
a
vital
step
that
ensures
you
stay
on
top
of
the
material.
Get
rid
of
distractions
(分心)
before
they
become
distractions.
To
overcome
distractions,
you
can’t
depend
on
willpower.
Few
of
us
have
the
willpower
necessary
to
fight
off
all
the
distractions
that
surround
us
in
this
digital
era.
Here
are
some
ways
to
eliminate:
Turn
off
notifications
(通知)
on
your
phone,
delete
all
the
apps
that
distract
you,
put
your
phone
in
another
room
before
you
start
work.
4.
What’s
the
function
of
the
first
paragraph?
A.
To
show
students’
pressure
in
school.
B.
To
introduce
the
topic
of
the
passage.
C.
To
tell
the
importance
of
intelligence.
D.
To
present
students’
after-school
activities.
5.
Which
of
the
following
views
does
the
author
agree
with?
A.
A
student
can
develop
his/her
intelligence
later
if
not
born
smart.
B.
A
student
is
expected
to
go
over
his/her
lessons
every
other
day.
C.
A
student
can’t
start
to
study
unless
he/she
feels
more
motivated.
D.
A
student
is
sure
to
succeed
only
by
believing
in
himself/herself.
6.
What
will
you
do
with
a
smart
phone
that
might
distract
you
according
to
the
last
paragraph?
A.
Delete
all
the
apps
on
the
smart
phone.
B.
Place
it
in
another
room
before
working.
C.
Turn
it
off
when
it
distracts
your
attention.
D.
Rely
on
your
willpower
to
stay
focused.
7.
What
is
the
purpose
of
this
passage?
A.
To
inform
students
how
to
achieve
success.
B.
To
comfort
those
students
who
are
not
academic.
C.
To
tell
students
that
grades
are
not
everything.
D.
To
explain
why
some
of
the
students
are
smart.
C
Nowadays,
we’re
now
eating
twice
as
much
fish
as
we
were
50
years
ago.
While
this
growing
demand
for
seafood
is
good
for
our
health,
it’s
harming
life
in
the
oceans.
Almost
60
percent
of
global
fish
are
fully
exploited
(开发)
and
30
percent
are
actually
disappearing.
By
2050,
with
a
predicted
human
population
of
around
10
billion
and
climate
change
decreasing
fish
populations
at
a
rate
of
20
to
30
percent
for
every
1°C
rise
in
sea
temperature,
we
may
be
seeking
novel
fish
sources.
But
fear
not.
A
solution
could
be
in
sight,
say
researchers
who
have
figured
out
the
area
of
ocean
suitable
for
aquaculture
(水产养殖).
The
study,
led
by
Rebecca
Gentry
of
the
University
of
California,
Santa
Barbara,
identified
areas
up
to
200
metres
deep
that
are
right
for
farming
fish
and
shellfish,
but
currently
unexploited.
We
would
only
need
to
farm
a
tiny
part
of
the
space
identified

no
larger
than
Lake
Michigan

to
match
current
production
from
wild-caught
fisheries
(渔业),
the
team
says.
Better
still,
if
we
used
all
ocean
space
suitable
for
aquaculture,
we
could
produce
as
much
as
15
billion
tons
of
fish
annually.
That’s
100
times
more
than
we
currently
eat
each
year.
All
of
this
suggests
we
could
farm
our
way
out
of
the
fisheries
crisis
and
possibly
global
food
security
problems.
People
want
to
eat
more
seafood,
and
we
seem
to
have
plentiful
space
to
farm
it.
It
sounds
so
simple

except
that
it’s
not.
For
starters,
not
all
suitable
areas
will
become
fish
farms
for
many
reasons,
such
as
worries
about
habitat
damage
or
local
disagreement.
Then
there’s
the
bigger
problem
of
unintended
effects.
Rather
than
save
wild
fisheries,
aquaculture
can
denigrate
them
further
by
spreading
disease
and
pollution,
not
to
mention
the
senseless
practice
of
using
small
wild
fish
as
feed
for
larger
farmed
fish.
Knowing
that
we
have
enough
space
we
need
to
grow
aquaculture
offers
some
comfort.
But
there
are
also
plenty
of
warnings.
And
if
we
continue
consuming
large
amounts
of
wild-caught
fish,
we
may
soon
have
to
accept
that
our
diet
will
change
in
ways
we
haven’t
expected.
8.
What
is
the
main
reason
for
farming
fish
in
the
ocean?
A.
Ocean
exploitation.
B.
Environmental
protection.
C.
Growing
need
for
fish.
D.
The
diversity
of
fish.
9.
What
is
the
advantage
of
fish
farms
in
the
ocean?
A.
We
can
produce
adequate
amounts
of
fish
in
tiny
space.
B.
We
can
solve
the
global
food
security
problems.
C.
It
is
simple
and
practical
to
raise
fish
in
the
ocean.
D.
All
suitable
ocean
areas
can
become
fish
farms.
10.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“denigrate”
in
paragraph
6
refer
to?
A.
Harming.
B.
Benefiting.
C.
Polluting.
D.
Promoting.
11.
What’s
the
author’s
attitude
towards
ocean
fish
farms?
A.
Positive.
B.
Objective.
C.
Negative.
D.
Indifferent.
D
If
you
live
in
China,
mandatory
(强制的)
garbage
sorting
is
coming
to
a
city
near
you.
In
the
UK,
people
have
been
sorting
out
rubbish
for
a
while.
For
most
people,
it’s
just
second
nature
to
sort
waste
at
home
before
throwing
it
into
separate
bins.
But
like
most
Brits
and
other
Westerners,
I
had
no
idea
that
most
of
our
recycling
used
to
go
to
China
until
the
country
banned
foreign
trash
imports
last
year.
With
its
booming
middle
class
of
urban
consumers,
China
has
its
own
increasing
waste
problems
that
it
urgently
needs
to
deal
with.
During
China’s
new
drive
to
sort
out
its
trash
problem,
I
was
keen
to
see
what
Hangzhou
was
doing
to
get
residents
ready.
It
was
seven
a.m.
when
I
first
got
to
work,
in
a
local
community
where
residents
were
heading
out
to
work,
school
or
for
a
morning
walk.
I
was
joined
by
Liu
Lianqun,
a
“garbage
guide”
next
to
the
local
trash
sorting
station.
When
many
locals
approached
us,
enthusiastically
holding
their
green
bags
given
for
free,
it
was
up
to
us
to
give
them
a
kind
but
firm
telling-off.
“Kitchen
waste
is
food
items
only!
No
tissues!
No
paper!
No
plastic!”
Some
people
took
our
advice
while
others
were
clearly
angry
at
being
told
what
to
do.
It’s
understandable.
Our
rubbish
can
be
very
personal
and
something
that
we
keep
to
ourselves.
Any
attempt
by
a
stranger
to
spy
into
our
bin
bags
is
going
to
be
unwelcome.
But
Liu
was
very
optimistic
that
progress
was
being
made.
In
another
community,
I
found
a
different
approach
to
garbage
sorting—rewarding
residents
with
points
in
return
for
their
recyclable
waste.
By
scanning
a
QR
code
through
a
smart
phone
app,
locals
can
collect
points
for
their
cardboard,
plastic
bottles
and
old
clothing,
and
exchange
them
for
goods
or
cash
in
local
shops.
If
common
people
could
see
truck
after
truck
pouring
glass,
paper
and
plastic
into
landfill
with
their
own
eyes,
they
would
likely
give
garbage
separation
a
lot
more
attention.
For
China’s
garbage
separation
campaign,
education
will
be
essential
in
the
long
term.
12.
What
can
be
inferred
from
paragraph
2?
A.
Foreign
trash
imports
have
done
great
harm
to
China.
B.
Imports
of
foreign
garbage
have
not
been
banned
up
to
now.
C.
Residents
in
Hangzhou
are
ready
for
garbage
sorting.
D.
Most
of
the
foreign
garbage
in
China
comes
from
Britain.
13.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“telling-off

in
paragraph
3
refer
to?
A.
Carrying
out
severe
punishment.
B.
Showing
a
warm
welcome.
C.
Pointing
out
their
mistakes
seriously.

第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
One
of
the
best
ways
to
keep
in
touch
with
your
inner
soul
is
by
writing.
____16____
You
needn’t
worry
about
choosing
your
words
carefully
so
as
not
to
hurt
anyone.
You
can
choose
to
record
everyday
happenings
of
your
daily
life,
or
the
special
events.
You
can
put
down
your
thoughts,
ideas
or
feelings.
Writing
is
your
conversation
with
yourself.
When
you
start
a
diary,
you
can
be
yourself
on
those
pages,
understanding
yourself
as
well
as
others.
We
often
fail
to
read
social
cues,
facial
expressions,
body
language,
etc.
____17____
It’s
like
reading
a
book,
where
you
understand
the
characters
and
situations
easily,
except,
the
characters
are
you
and
your
acquaintances,
and
the
situations
are
real.
___18___
On
a
daily
basis,
we
go
through
several
confusions.
We
often
get
confused
with
too
many
thoughts
in
our
head.
Writing
helps
to
organize
them.
Things
we
are
unable
to
process,
feelings
we
are
unable
to
recognize

they
find
a
definition
and
recognition.
When
you
write
a
diary,
you
also
leave
yourself
something
to
look
at
later.
Have
you
ever
found
a
letter,
a
copy,
or
just
a
gift
that
has
made
you
go
back
in
time?
Have
you
ever
found
a
piece
of
your
life,
a
memory
of
the
past,
missing?
In
your
diary,
you
revisit
the
moments
you
have
been
through
and
how
you
have
come
out
of
them
stronger.
___19___
So
make
it
a
habit
to
write
a
diary.
Write
to
keep
a
record.
Write
to
develop
your
language.
Write
to
accept
failure.
____20____
Write
for
no
reason,
because
writing
a
diary
is
one
of
the
best
lifestyle
choices,
which
will
help
you
become
your
own
friend.
A.
However,
when
we
write
it
down,
things
become
easy
and
clear.
B.
Thus,
writing
helps
analyze
a
situation,
too.
C.
Maintaining
your
own
diary
doesn’t
have
any
rules.
D.
Write
to
recognize
success.
E.
A
diary
is
a
silent
witness
to
your
changes
and
developments.
F.
As
our
thoughts
pour
out
naturally,
the
diary
acts
like
the
silent
listener.
G.
Besides,
writing
helps
us
to
clear
our
mind.

There
were
once
two
rabbits,
Wanda
the
Wise
and
Frederick
the
Foolish,
who
were
walking
through
a
field.
They
were
good
friends
and
enjoyed
their
wander
together.
On
this
walk,
they
came
upon
two
carrots.
One
of
the
carrots
had
large
leaves
coming
out
of
the
top
and
the
other
looked
much
smaller
from
the
surface.
Frederick
was
excited
and
ran
up
to
the
carrot
with
the
larger
leaves.
“I’ll
have
this
one.”
he
proudly
exclaimed
and
proceeded
to
pulling
it
out
from
the
ground.
Wanda
shrugged
her
shoulders
and
pulled
out
the
other
carrot,
which
turned
out
to
be
much
bigger.
Frederick
was
surprised
and
asked
how
this
could
possibly
be.
Wanda
looked
at
her
friend
and
replied,
“You
can’t
always
judge
a
carrot
by
its
leaves.”
They
kept
on
walking
and
came
across
another
pair
of
carrots
again
with
different
sized
leaves.
This
time
Frederick
allowed
his

the
first
pick.
Wanda
hopped
to
each
carrot,
inspected
(检查)
and
sniffed
them
carefully
and,
to
Frederick’s
surprise,
chose
the
carrot
with
the
larger
leaves.
As
they
each
pulled
their
carrots
out
from
the
ground,
Frederick
was
confused
to
see
that
his
carrot
was
still
smaller
than
Wanda’s.
“You
said
that
carrots
with
larger
leaves
are
not
always
larger.
I
thought
carrots
with
small
leaves
meant
larger
ones.”
he
said.
“No,”
replied
Wanda,
“I
said
don’t
judge
a
carrot
by
its
leaves.
It’s
also
important
to
remember
to
think
before
you
choose.”
Frederick
nodded
and
they
ate
their
carrots
before
continuing
their
stroll.
For
a
third
time,
they
found
two
carrots,
again
with
different
sized
leaves.
Frederick
looked
confused
and
didn’t
know
what
to
do.
Wanda
indicated
that
he
could
choose
which
carrot
to
eat.

B
Like
most
students,
you
probably
feel
as
if
successful
ones
in
your
class
were
just
born
smart.
No
matter
what
else
is
going
on
in
their
personal
lives
or
after-school
activities,
they
always
get
good
grades,
while
for
you,
it
is
a
struggle.
Actually,
grades
are
only
one
part
of
your
education
and
I’ve
come
to
realize
that
successful
students
are
not
more
intelligent
than
other
students.
They
have
just
more
self-control
and
stay
focused,
and
they
are
eager
to
win.
Intelligence
isn’t
a
fixed
trait.
Research
has
proven
that
students
who
believe
that
they
can
become
smarter
actually
do
become
smarter.
Belief
is
that
powerful.
Intelligence
is
a
trait
that
you
can
develop
over
time.
Don’t
ever
see
yourself
as
“dumb”
or
“dull”,
because
with
the
right
mindset
you
can
become
more
intelligent.
So
even
if
you
don’t
feel
like
the
brightest
of
the
bunch,
I’m
going
to
share
with
you
how
to
be
successful
in
school.
Rely
on
systems,
not
motivation.
Students
who
do
well
in
school
don’t
wait
until
they’re
in
the
mood
to
study
before
they
get
down
to
work.
Neither
do
they
wait
until
they
feel
motivated
before
they
start
preparing
for
an
exam.
Instead,
successful
students
rely
on
systems
to
ensure
that
they
get
the
work
done,
even
when
they
don’t
feel
like
it.
Keep
on
reading
to
find
out
what
some
of
these
systems
are.
Review
any
new
information
you’ve
learned
on
the
same
day.
This
daily
review
won’t
take
long
to
complete,
but
it’s
a
vital
step
that
ensures
you
stay
on
top
of
the
material.
Get
rid
of
distractions
(分心)
before
they
become
distractions.
To
overcome
distractions,
you
can’t
depend
on
willpower.
Few
of
us
have
the
willpower
necessary
to
fight
off
all
the
distractions
that
surround
us
in
this
digital
era.
Here
are
some
ways
to
eliminate:
Turn
off
notifications
(通知)
on
your
phone,
delete
all
the
apps
that
distract
you,
put
your
phone
in
another
room
before
you
start
work.
4.
What’s
the
function
of
the
first
paragraph?
A.
To
show
students’

in
school.
B.
To
introduce
the
topic
of
the
passage.
C.
To
tell
the
importance
of
intelligence.
D.
To
present
students’
after-school
activities.
5.
Which
of
the
following
views
does
the
author
agree
with?
A.
A
student
can
develop
his/her
intelligence
later

B.
A
student
is
expected
to
go
over
his/her
lessons
every
other
day.
C.
A
student
can’t
start
to
study
unless
he/she
feels
more

D.
A
student
is
sure
to
succeed
only
by
believing
in
himself/herself.
6.
What
will
you
do
with
a
smart
phone
that
might
distract
you
according
to
the
last
paragraph?
A.
Delete
all
the
apps
on
the
smart
phone.
B.
Place
it
in
another

C.
Turn
it
off
when
it

your
attention.
D.
Rely
on
your

7.
What
is
the
purpose
of
this
passage?

To
inform
students
how
to
achieve
success.

To
comfort
those

【解析】
这是一篇说明文。文章主要告诉我们智力不是固定的特征,而是一种可以随时间发展的特质,并介绍了学生如何取得成功的方法。
【4题详解】
推理判断题。根据第一段内容“Like
most

you,
it
is
a
struggle.”(像大多数学生一样,你可能觉得好像班上成功的学生天生聪明。不管他们的个人生活或课外活动中发生了什么,他们总是取得好成绩,而对你来说,这是一个难事。)可知,文章第一段阐述了一个现象,我们普遍认为班上成功的学生是天生聪明的。浏览后文内容可知,后文告诉我们,事实并非如此,智力是一种可以随时间发展的特质,并且告诉我们如何能在学校取得成功。由此可推断出,第一段的作用是要引出文章的主题。故选B项。
【5题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段关键句“Intelligence
isn’t
a
fixed
trait.”(智力不是固定的特征。)和“Intelligence
is
a
trait
that
you
can

【6题详解】
细节理解题。根据最后一段关键句“Here

【7题详解】
推理判断题。根据文章内容及第三段关键句“So
even

I’m
going
to
share

on
systems,
not
motivation.”(依靠制度,而不是动力。)和“Review
any
new
information
you’ve
learned
on
the
same
day.”(复习当天学到的新信息。)都是在学校取得成功的方法。由此可推断出,这篇文章的目的是告诉学生如何取得成功。故选A项。
C
Nowadays,
we’re
now
eating
twice
as
much
fish
as
we
were
50
years
ago.
While
this
growing
demand
for
seafood
is
good
for
our
health,
it’s
harming
life
in
the
oceans.
Almost
60
percent
of
global
fish
are
fully
exploited
(开发)
and
30
percent
are
actually
disappearing.
By
2050,
with
a
predicted
human
population
of
around
10
billion
and
climate
change
decreasing
fish
populations
at
a
rate
of
20
to
30
percent
for
every
1°C
rise
in
sea
temperature,
we
may
be
seeking
novel
fish
sources.
But
fear
not.
A
solution
could
be
in
sight,
say
researchers
who
have
figured
out
the
area
of
ocean
suitable
for
aquaculture
(水产养殖).
The
study,
led
by
Rebecca
Gentry
of
the
University
of
California,
Santa
Barbara,
identified
areas
up
to
200
metres
deep
that
are
right
for
farming
fish
and
shellfish,
but
currently
unexploited.
We
would
only
need
to
farm
a
tiny
part
of
the
space
identified

no
larger
than
Lake
Michigan

to
match
current
production
from
wild-caught
fisheries
(渔业),
the
team
says.
Better
still,
if
we
used
all
ocean
space
suitable
for
aquaculture,
we
could
produce
as
much
as
15
billion
tons
of
fish
annually.
That’s
100
times
more
than
we
currently
eat
each
year.
All
of
this
suggests
we
could
farm
our
way
out
of
the
fisheries
crisis
and
possibly
global
food
security
problems.
People
want
to
eat
more
seafood,
and
we
seem
to
have
plentiful
space
to
farm
it.
It
sounds
so
simple

except
that
it’s
not.
For
starters,
not
all
suitable
areas
will
become
fish
farms
for
many
reasons,
such
as
worries
about
habitat
damage
or
local
disagreement.
Then
there’s
the
bigger
problem
of
unintended
effects.
Rather
than
save
wild
fisheries,
aquaculture
can
denigrate
them
further
by
spreading
disease
and
pollution,
not
to
mention
the
senseless
practice
of
using
small
wild
fish
as
feed
for
larger
farmed
fish.
Knowing
that
we
have
enough
space
we
need
to
grow
aquaculture
offers
some
comfort.
But
there
are
also
plenty
of
warnings.
And
if
we
continue
consuming
large
amounts
of
wild-caught
fish,
we
may
soon
have
to
accept
that
our
diet
will
change
in
ways
we
haven’t
expected.
8.
What
is
the
main
reason
for
farming
fish
in
the
ocean?
A.
Ocean
exploitation.
B.
Environmental
protection.
C.
Growing
need
for
fish.
D.
The
diversity
of
fish.
9.
What
is
the
advantage
of
fish
farms
in
the
ocean?
A.
We
can
produce
adequate
amounts
of
fish
in
tiny
space.
B.
We
can
solve
the
global
food
security
problems.
C.
It
is
simple
and
practical
to
raise
fish
in
the
ocean.
D
All
suitable
ocean
areas
can
become
fish
farms.
10.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“denigrate”
in
paragraph
6
refer
to?
A.
Harming.
B.
Benefiting.
C.
Polluting.
D.

11.
What’s
the

这是一篇说明文。文章主要讲述了过渡捕捞鱼类导致鱼类数量下降带来的一系列问题,并呼吁人们不要过渡捕捞。
【8题详解】
细节理解题。根据第二段“By
2050,
with
a
predicted

of
around
10

decreasing

(到2050年,预计人类人口约100亿,每1°c海温升高的气候变化会使鱼类种群以20%至30%的速度减少,我们可能要寻找新的鱼类来源)”和第三段“A

could
be

say
researchers
who
have
figured
out
the

(水产养殖).
(一个解决方案可能就在眼前,研究人员说,他们已经找到了适合水产养殖的海洋区域)
”可知,在海洋养殖鱼类的主要原因是对鱼类的需求上升了。故选C。
【9题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段“We
would
only
need
to
farm
a
tiny
part
of

identified

no

(渔业),
the
team
says.(我们只需要在一小块认证的空间进行养殖——不大于密歇根湖——就能和目前野生捕捞渔业的产量不相上下)”可知,海洋中的养鱼场的好处是在较小的空间里就能产出足够数量的鱼。故选A。
【10题详解】
词句猜测题。根据划线词前的“Then
there’s
the
bigger
problem
of
unintended
effects.
Rather
than
save
wild
fisheries(另外存在意想不到的影响带来的更大的问题。而不是救它们)”及划线词后的“by
spreading
disease
and
pollution
(通过传播疾病和污染)”可推知,水产养殖可通过传播疾病和污染进一步损害它们。由此推知,划线词意为“损害,伤害”。A
Harming伤害;
B
Benefiting有益;C
Polluting污染;
D
Promoting提升。故选A。
【11题详解】
推理判断题。根据最后一段“Knowing
that
we
have
enough
space
we
need
to
grow
aquaculture
offers
some
comfort.
But
there
are
also
plenty
of
warnings.
(知道我们有足够的空间进行水产养殖这件事给我们提供了些许安慰。但是仍然有很多警示)”可推测,作者对于海洋养鱼场的态度是客观的,能够看到好的一面也能看到不好的一面。故选B。
【点睛】阅读理解题的解题方法,首先,宏观浏览,掌握大意。不要困扰在个别词汇的翻译上,偶有生词,走为上计。其次,读懂题干,带着问题再去微观细读。最后,分析句子,慎思明辨。阅读理解题之细节理解解题要注意:1.排除干扰项,突出主题。2.按文章的体裁,作者写作的组织模式及有关信息,预测应该到何处寻找自己所需要的事实。3.将注意力放在寻找你所需要的细节上,快速浏览,一目十行。发现细节,十目一行,放慢速度,仔细核对比较,直到找到正确答案。如本文第2题,找出文中提到的“养殖鱼类”,通过关键词定位到文章第二段末尾和第三段,很容易判断出正确答案。
D
If
you
live
in
China,
mandatory
(强制的)
garbage
sorting
is
coming
to
a
city
near
you.
In
the
UK,
people
have
been
sorting
out
rubbish
for
a
while.
For
most
people,
it’s
just
second
nature
to
sort
waste
at
home
before
throwing
it
into
separate
bins.
But
like
most
Brits
and
other
Westerners,
I
had
no
idea
that
most
of
our
recycling
used
to
go
to
China
until
the
country
banned
foreign
trash
imports
last
year.
With
its
booming
middle
class
of
urban
consumers,
China
has
its
own
increasing
waste
problems
that
it
urgently
needs
to
deal
with.
During
China’s
new
drive
to
sort
out
its
trash
problem,
I
was
keen
to
see
what
Hangzhou
was
doing
to
get
residents
ready.
It
was
seven
a.m.
when
I
first
got
to
work,
in
a
local
community
where
residents
were
heading
out
to
work,
school
or
for
a
morning
walk.
I
was
joined
by
Liu
Lianqun,
a
“garbage
guide”
next
to
the
local
trash
sorting
station.
When
many
locals
approached
us,
enthusiastically
holding
their
green
bags
given
for
free,
it
was
up
to
us
to
give
them
a
kind
but
firm
telling-off.
“Kitchen
waste
is
food
items
only!
No
tissues!
No
paper!
No
plastic!”
Some
people
took
our
advice
while
others
were
clearly
angry
at
being
told
what
to
do.
It’s
understandable.
Our
rubbish
can
be
very
personal
and
something
that
we
keep
to
ourselves.
Any
attempt
by
a
stranger
to
spy
into
our
bin
bags
is
going
to
be
unwelcome.
But
Liu
was
very
optimistic
that
progress

In

I
found
a
different
approach
to
garbage

residents
with
points

their

By

locals

collect
points

If
common

they

A.
Because

【解析】
这是一篇说明文。本文主要以杭州为例,介绍了中国开始执行垃圾分类的新举措,并获得了大部分居民的支持,但未来还有很长的路要走。
【12题详解】
推理判断题。根据第二段关键句“But
like
most
Brits
and
other
Westerners,
I
had
no
idea
that
most
of
our
recycling
used
to
go
to
China
until
the
country
banned
foreign
trash
imports
last
year.”(但像大多数英国人和其他西方人一样,在中国去年禁止进口外国垃圾之前,我根本不知道我们大部分的回收垃圾都流向了中国。)可知,之前英国和西方国家的回收垃圾都流向了中国,但在去年中国开始禁止进口外国垃圾,由此可推断出,之所以中国开始禁止进口外国垃圾,是因为外国垃圾的进口给中国造成了很大的危害。故选A项。
【13题详解】
词句猜测题。根据划线单词后句““Kitchen
waste
is
food
items
only!
No
tissues!
No
paper!
No
plastic!”
Some
people
took
our
advice
while
others
were
clearly
angry
at
being
told
what
to
do.”(“厨余垃圾只是食物!没有纸巾!没有纸!没有塑料!”有些人接受了我们的建议,而另一些人显然对被告知该怎么办感到愤怒。)可知,后文讲述的是我们向居民告知垃圾分类的要求,纠正他们的错误,“Pointing
out
their
mistakes
seriously.”意为“认真指出他们的错误”,符合句意,告诉他们“厨余垃圾只是食物!没有纸巾!没有纸!没有塑料!”正是在认真指出他们的错误。“give
them
a
kind
but
firm
telling-off”表示“亲切但坚定地指出他们的错误。故选C项。
【14题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段关键句“Some
people
took
our
advice
while
others
were
clearly
angry
at
being
told
what
to
do.
It’s
understandable.
Our
rubbish
can
be
very
personal
and
something
that
we
keep
to
ourselves.
Any
attempt
by
a
stranger
to
spy
into
our
bin
bags
is
going
to
be
unwelcome.”(有些人接受了我们的建议,而另一些人显然对被告知该怎么办感到愤怒。这是可以理解的。我们的垃圾可能是非常私人的和我们自己保留的东西。任何陌生人试图窥探我们的垃圾袋都是不受欢迎的。)可知,有些人感到愤怒是因为垃圾袋里的东西是我们私人的东西,陌生人窥探我们的垃圾袋可能会泄露我们的个人隐私。由此可知,居民因为被告知如何分类垃圾而感到愤怒是可以理解的,是因为绿色袋子里的东西可能泄露个人信息。故选D项。
【15题详解】
主旨大意题。根据文章内容及第二段关键句“During
China’s
new
drive
to
sort
out
its
trash
problem,
I
was
keen
to
see
what
Hangzhou
was
doing
to
get
residents
ready.”(在中国分类垃圾问题的新举措中,我很想看看杭州是如何让居民做好准备的。)可知,本文主要以杭州为例,介绍了中国开始执行分类垃圾的新举措,并获得了大部分居民的支持,但未来还有很长的路要走。“Good
start
for
garbage
sorting”意为“垃圾分类的良好开端”,能够概括文章内容,最适合作文章标题。故选D项。

They
were
good
friends
and
enjoyed
their

On
this
walk,
they
came
upon
two
carrots.
One
of
the
carrots
had
large
leaves
coming
out
of
the
top
and
the
other
looked
much
smaller
from
the
surface.
Frederick
was
excited
and
ran
up
to
the
carrot
with
the
larger
leaves.
“I’ll
have
this
one.”
he
proudly
exclaimed
and
proceeded
to
pulling
it
out
from
the
ground.
Wanda
shrugged
her
shoulders
and
pulled
out
the
other
carrot,
which
turned
out
to
be
much
bigger.
Frederick
was
surprised
and
asked
how
this
could
possibly
be.
Wanda
looked
at
her
friend
and
replied,
“You
can’t
always
judge
a
carrot
by
its
leaves.”
They
kept
on
walking
and
came
across
another

of
carrots,

smaller

“You

I
thought
carrots
with
small
leaves
meant
larger
ones.”
he
said.
“No,”
