Granny Green lived outside Moscow. Her only son was sent to Afghanistan(阿富汗) and was killed in action(战斗) there. Soon after that her husband lost his job, The old man was always worried about food and clothes, And on a winter night he went out alone when his wife was sleep. A professor told his students to go into the city slums(贫民窟) to study the life of 200 boys. He asked them to write reports about each boy’s life in the future. Every one of the students wrote, “He doesn’t have any hope.”
