本节课是外研版八年级上册第十二模块第二单元,是一节阅读课。本节课围绕地震话题进行阅读教学,让学生学习和掌握本单元的新词汇,让学生学会用祈使句表达如何应对地震、做好防护措施。并在教学过程中注重对学生进行学习能力、思维品质和文化品格的培养,教育学生应保护生命、远离危险,学会勇敢、乐于助人。
学情分析
所授课班级学生为城乡结合部学生,学生整体英语水平较为薄弱。本文话题地震贴近生活现实,用地震图片导入新课,易引起学生的注意力。在上一单元的教学中,学生已初步学习了情态动词及祈使句的用法,基于第一单元的基础,我在教学中采用信息技术手段和小组合作活动调动其学习热情,让他们能够积极主动地参与到本课的阅读教学中。

地震题材贴近生活实际,话题较为沉重,所以我选择地震图片作为背景,底色设置为黑色,而黄色为警示色。黑色和黄色正好形成鲜明对比,有利于学生看清楚,并易引起学生集中注意力。
