Manners
in

在巴黎以外的地方,应邀参加别人家里举行的宴会是比较常见的。在接到类似邀请的时候,一定要接受,并且比事先约定的时间晚十五分钟左右到达。给女主人选择礼物时需要注意,如果送花,花的数目应该是单数(但是不能是十三支!),不要带菊花(除非参加葬礼),不要带红玫瑰(大家会猜想你和女主人有不正当的关系),也不要带黄颜色的花(这表明主人与其他人有不正当的关系)。把酒作为礼物也不太好。带一瓶普通的廉价葡萄酒只会降低你自己的身份。但如果带一瓶高级的酒的话,又会被人认为带有嘲笑主人藏酒不够的意味。

吃沙拉的时候,不要用刀切生菜,而是用你的餐叉把它折叠成小块。用刀把水果皮去掉,用餐叉来吃。用两份干酪是不礼貌的,尤其不要把干酪切成小片。
