bad
news.
The
good
is
that
even
if

The
bad
is

There
are
many
different
types
of
poems.
Many
people
have
heard
about
haiku.
In
fact,most
of
us
are
taught
at
one
point
or
another—usually
in
elementary
school
or
high
school

to
write
one
of
our
very
own.
Actually
haiku
is
a
form
of
poetry
made
up
of
three
non-rhyming
lines.
They
often
express
feelings
and
thoughts
about
nature;
however,
you
could
write
a
poem
about
any
subject
you
like
in
this
form.
One
of
the
poetic
favorites
is
pastoral(田园的)poetry
because
it
means
wonderful
senses
of
peace
and
harmony.
Examples
of
this
form
include
Keats’s
Ode
on
a
Grecian
Urn.
Like
the
haiku,
nature
is
often
at
the
center
of
this
type
of
poem
as
well.
In
general,
pastoral
poetry
will
focus
on
describing
a
rural
(乡村的)peace,but
the
terms
will
be
peaceful.
You
feel
at
ease
after
reading
this
type
of
poem.
Many
pastoral
poems
are
written
about
shepherds.
Are
you
familiar
with
the
term
“ballad“?
Probably
you
are,
because
people
sometimes
refer
to
songs

particularly
romantic
ones

as
ballads.
In
fact,
ballad
poems
are
frequently
sung
or
at
least
they
are
intended
to
be
sung,
and
they
are
often
about
love.
Often,
these
ballads
will
tell
stories
and
they
tend
to
be
of
a
mystical
nature.
A
limerick
is
a
poem
that
is
often
silly
or
funny,
written
in
five
lines
with
AABBA
rhyme
(押韵
)
.
Often,
a
limerick
tells
a
short,
humorous
story.
This
type
of
poem
has
been
popular
for
hundreds
of
years,
particularly
in
the
English
language.
When
limericks
first
became
popular,
they
often
expressed
ideas
that
were
dirty,
but
today
limericks
express
all
sorts
of
ideas.
24.
What
do
we
learn
about
haiku
poems?
A.
They
rhyme.
B.
They’ve
very
short.
C.
They
have
seven
lines.
D.
They’ve
hard
to
write.
25.
How
do
poems
like
Ode
on
a
Grecian
Urn
most
probably
sound?
A.
Funny.
B.
Sad.
C.
Relaxing.
D.
Encouraging.
26.
Who
are
most
likely
to
write
limericks?
A.
Songwriters.
B.
Famous
poets.
C.
Humorous
people.
D.
People
admiring
nature.
27.
What’s
the
best
title
for
the
passage?
A.
Topics
of
Poems.
B.
History
of
Poems.
C.
Origin
of
Poems.
D.
Forms

Across
cultures,
we
write
different
songs
for
different
purposes.
A
new
study
examines
how
music
travels
around
the
world,despite
its
incredible
diversity
(多样性)within
cultures.
Sam
Mehr,
a
psychologist
at
Harvard,
kept
reading
a
statement
that
said,

Music
is
universal.

But
every
time
there
was
nothing
to
back
it
up.
To
see
if
there
was
any
proof
to
this
claim,
he
and
his
fellow
researchers
created
two
databases

one
with
descriptions
from
anthropologists
(人类学家)of
what
happened
when
music
from
the
60s
was
playing,and
another
of
118
audio
(声音的)recordings
from
86
different
societies.
He
found
that
there
were
three
characteristics
of
behavior
that
consistently
characterized
music:
formality
(礼节),
arousal
(or
how
calm
or
exciting
a
song
was),and
religiosity.
Most
societies
had
music
that
fell
into
more
than
one
category.
“People
did
a
good
job
guessing
the
themes.
Music
appears
in
this
huge
diversity,but
it
does
so
similarly
across
societies,”
says
author
Manvir
Singh,
a
Harvard
Ph.
D.
student
in
the
department
of
human
evolutionary
(进化)biology.
Daniel
Levitin,
who’s
clone
similar
research
on
music
and
evolution,
believes
this
kind
of
systematic
approach
to
understanding
music
is
long
overdue.
He
also
says
that
the
study
points
to
an
evolutionary
history
between
music
and
humans.
For
Mehr
and
his
team,
the
hunt
for
data
is
just
the
beginning.
The
lab
is
running
more
detailed
quizzes
to
dig
into
how
people
respond
to
what
they
hear.
They
also
hope
to
do
studies
on
different
populations
to
see
how
they
react
to
tunes
from
faraway
societies.
Exploring
the
lyrics
allows
us
to
better
understand
how
music
can
call
for
these
emotional
or
behavioral
responses,”
says
Singh,

but
also,
in
a
broader
way,
the
world
view
of
the
people
who
are
singing.

28.
Why
did
Sam
Mehr
start
his
research?
A.
To
support
his
statement
of
music.
B.
To
find
evidence
for
“Music
is
universal”.
C.
To
prove
the
diversities
of
music
worldwide.
D.
To
examine
music
at
different
periods.
29.
How
is
Sam
Mehr’s
research
carried
out?
A.
By
giving
quizzes.
B.
By
observing
objects.
C.
By
looking
up
documentaries.
D.
By
interviewing
music
writers.
30.
What
does
the

Tune.

D.

of

The
new
film
from
the
director
of
Up
and
Inside
Out
has
the
beauty
of
adventure,
but
its
themes
are
very
raw.
If
Disney’s
animated-movie
(动画电影)relies
on
tales
of
heroes
and
princesses,of
villains
(坏人)destroyed
and
personal
freedom
achieved,then
Pixar’s
movie
is
far
more
ordinary.
For
decades,
the
computer-animation
studio
has
made
movies
that
present
remarkable
feelings
and
experiences
as
the
products
of
ordinary
jobs,
performed
diligently
by
strange
little
beings
behind
the
scenes.
Monsters
,
Inc.
,
in
2001,
showed
that
our
fears
were
created
by
blue
collar
creatures.
Inside
Out,
2015,presented
our
feelings
as
brightly
colored
sprites
(精灵).Now,
Soul
imagines
how
our
personalities
are
created
at
a
cartoon
summer
camp,
where
smiley
blobs
(小球)and
squiggles
(涂鸦)create
human
souls.
All
these
movies
were
directed
by
Pete
Docter,
the
man
who
is
also
behind
Up.
The
filmmaker
is
fond
of
using
animation
to
create
worlds
rooted
in

(隐喻).Soul
is
largely
set
in

world
known
as

and
attractive.
Docter
has
wrestled
with
‘‘grown-up’’
themes
before
and
managed
to
put
them
into
an
easy-to-understand
story.
Up
began
with
the
emotional
hammer
blow
of
an
aging
character
losing
his
wife
before
he
started
a
new
adventure.
Soul
sets
an
even
tougher
challenge
for
itself
by
apparently
telling
the
audience
that
Joe
finds
himself
in
to
teach
valuable
lessons
about
finding
joy
in
life
even
as
it
disappoints
us.
We
are
all
born
with
dreams.
Docter
seems
to
be
saying
with
ideas
and
personalities
that
are
created
even
before
we
come
into
the
pared
lo

My
most
extreme
case
of
jealousy
(妒忌)happened
at
camp
this
summer
with
a
girl
named
Megan
Martin.
We
41
on
the
first
day
of
archery
(射箭)42
.
Most
of
us
in
my
group
had
completely
missed
our

.
Except
Megan.
No
matter
the
activity,
Megan
was
the
best.
And
by
best,
I
44
beyond
the
best!
45
the
people
who
get
all
braggy
(吹嘘的),Megan
was
modest
and
friendlily.
So
I
felt
46
terrible
the
way
I
did.
Then,
one
day
at
lunch,
Megan
sat
down
next
to
me.
And
then
she
told
me
a(n)
47
riddle
(谜语),I
giggled.
And
then
we
spent
a
lot
of
time
telling
48
.
Later
I
knew
we
both
had
five-year
old
twin
brothers.
And
it
wasn't
the
only
thing
we
had
49!
The
more
we
talked
,
the
more
I
realized
how
50
it
was
that
I'd
been
51
energy
feeling
jealous
when
I
could
have
been
building
a
52
.
Megan
told
me
that
she
53
she
had
my
creativity
in
telling
stories.
That
comment
54
me.
Hearing
that
I
couldn't
get
over
how
good
she
was
at
everything,
Megan
55
,and
suggested
we
invent
a
machine
that
would
let

a
little
while.
It
was
a
(n)
57
idea
and
we
spent
the
rest
of
lunch
58
the
details
of
the
invention.
It’s
probably
impossible
not
to
feel
a
tiny
bit
envious
at
least
once
in
your
life.
But
try
to
remember
that
you
have
your
own
59
unique
that
makes
you
special.
And
I
know
for
a
fact
that
putting
more
energy
into
60
thing
like
building
friendship,
and
less
energy
into
negatives
thing
like
feeling
jealous,
helps
make
for
happier
days
all
round.
