Perhaps a warm current took them north. But penguins cannot live for long in the warmer waters of the north. It was time to save the penguins.
Read the passage.
Sadly though, some penguins were too sick to travel, and some were dying. The scientists took the healthy birds and put them on a large aircraft. They flew to the south coast of Brazil. Many people came to watch the birds. But at first, the birds just looked at the water. Then, some of the braver ones swam about in it. It was cold! It was good!
Read the passage.
And so they began the last part of their journey. People cheered loudly as the younger penguins started swimming behind the older ones. Together, they were on their way home at last.

My teacher always says it’s important to read English passages. Why should we do that?
If we want to learn English well, we should know the importance of reading: we can get to know a lot about the world through reading.

Every time I write, I want to write well. But I don’t know so many English words. I learn new words, but I forget them quickly. How can I remember them?
Do not worry. It is natural to forget new words! I suggest you write four or five words a day on pieces of paper and place them in your room. Read the words when you see them, and try to use them.

This term, I am better at listening than last term because I listen to the radio every morning. And I watch an English film every week. I usually watch it for several times. Also, my writing skill is the best in our class because I have a pen friend in England. I write to her every week.

But I still have many things to improve. I want to improve my speaking because I am too shy to speak English in class and that’s bad for me. Also, I can read more passages to know more about the world and improve my English.
A report of my English study
In the next two months, I will do three things. First, I decide to answer at least three questions in each English class to improve my speaking. Second, I plan to read a short passage every day. I will read for key words and get the main idea. Last, I will continue to write to my pen friends every week. I believe my English will be better and better.
