A
When
you
take
a
closer
look
at
the
photos
of
the
36
contestants
for
CCTV
3’s
talent
show
Bravo
Youngsters
,
you
may
find
something
different.
Ling,
one
contestant
on
the
show,
is
seemingly
perfect.
The
25-year-old
Beijing
woman
is
a
social
media
influencer,
whose
realistic
appearance
is
computer
generated
(生成).
Yet
Ling
behaves
like
an
actual
human
social
media
star.
She
attends
fashion
events,
promotes
designer
clothes
and
brands,
and
shares
her
life
on
Sina
Weibo.
“I
love
traditional
Chinese
culture,
especially
Peking
Opera,
calligraphy
and
tai
chi.
I
hope
that
I
can
interpret
(阐释)
these
art
forms
in
my
own
way
on
the
stage,”
Ling
posted
on
her
weibo
account
on
Nov
22.
Actually,
Ling
herself
is
the
best
illustration
of
her
love
for
Chinese
traditional
culture.
Her
name,
Ling,
comes
from
the
feathered
headdress
(头饰)
worn
in
Peking
Opera.
Her
voice
in
the
talent
show
follows
the
school
(流派)
of
the
late
Peking
Opera
master
Mei
Lanfang.
And
her
face
is
even
designed
to
look
good
while
wearing
Peking
Opera
makeup.
According
to
Chen
Yan,
founder
of
Beijing
Next
Generation
Culture
Media,
the
company
behind
Ling,
they
aimed
to
build
the
virtual
idol
(虚拟偶像)
into
a
web
influencer
interested
in
guofeng
(Chinese
national
style).
Chen
Zhe
from
the
company
Frees
Fund,
believes
that
the
rise
of
virtual
influencers
will
bring
opportunities.
“They
have
great
advantages.
Unlike
human
influencers
who
will
get
old,
or
may
become
involved
in
some
sort
of
scandal
(丑闻),
digital
influencers
are
young,
flexible,
manageable
and
controllable,”
he
said.
Chen
Yan
also
pointed
out
that
although
influencers
like
Ling
are
virtual,
their
influence
is
real.
Like
it
or
not,
they
will
bring
big
changes
to
the
entertainment
and
fashion
industries
in
the
near
future.
1.

designing
clothes.
2.
Why
is
Ling
considered
the
best
illustration
of
her
love
for
Chinese
traditional
culture?
A.
Ling

the
show.
B.
Ling
dresses
up
like
a
Peking
Opera

do
virtual
idols
have
over
human
influencers?
A.
They
are
more
attractive
and
talented.
B.
They
act
flexibly
in
different
situations.
C.
They
can
be
controlled
and
managed
easily.
D.
They
can
impact
the
entertainment
and
fashion
industries.
B
We
now
are
in
a
“golden
age”
of
space-sample
retrieval
(取回)
and
exploration.
Space
agencies
around
the
world
are
busy
collecting,
or
planning
to
collect,
samples
from
celestial
bodies
(天体)
like
asteroids
(小行星),
moons
and
planets.
China’s
Chang’e
5
mission
is
the
most
recent
sample-return
mission
that
has
been
successfully
completed.
On
Dec
17,
the
Chang’e
5
lunar
probe
(探测器)
returned
home
and
landed
in
the
Inner
Mongolia
autonomous
region
after
weeks
of
space
travel,
China
Daily
reported.
This
was
the
world’s
first
lunar
sample-return
mission
since
1976.
The
mission
retrieved
an
incredible
1,713
grams
of
samples
of
rocks
and
dust
with
the
help
of
a
drill
(钻孔机)
and
a
mechanical
(机械的)
arm.
Another
space
sample-return
mission
was
completed
on
Dec
6.
Japan’s
Hayabusa2
probe
returned
a
capsule
to
Earth
containing
valuable
samples
from
the
asteroid
Ryugu.
This
was
the
second
time
asteroid
samples
have
ever
been
collected
and
brought
back
to
Earth.
The
first
asteroid
samples
were
collected
by
the
original
Hayabusa
spacecraft
back
in
2010.
There
will
be
more
such
missions
in
the
near
future.
NASA’s
OSIRIS-REx
spacecraft,
which
collected
samples
from
the
asteroid
Bennu
in
October,
is
expected
to
return
to
Earth
in
2023.
Russia’s
Lunar-25
mission
is
scheduled
to
launch
to
the
moon
in
2021
to
collect
lunar
samples.
Collecting
these
samples
from
different
celestial
bodies
is
important
because
they
can
help
to
answer
questions
that
have
puzzled
scientists
for
years,
such
as
how
life
first
came
about
or
how
water
appeared
on
our
planet.
“I
cannot
emphasize
enough
how
valuable
return
samples
are
for
increasing
our
understanding
of
the
origin
and
evolution
of
our
solar
system
and
our
place
in
the
universe,
and
how
we
came
to
be,”
said
Ann
Nguyen,
a
NASA
planetary
scientist.
Once
the
space
samples
are
delivered
to
Earth,
they
are
then
analyzed
with
high-powered
tools.
These
tools
can
help
to
reveal
more
detailed
information
than
just
photos
or
robotic
rovers
(探测车)
alone.
As
for
the
Chang’e
5
lunar
samples,
scientists
will
conduct
various
analyses,
tests
and
experiments
to
determine
the
composition
(构成),
structure
and
physical
characteristics
of
the
samples.
This
information
will
help
to
deepen
our
knowledge
about
the
history
of
the
moon,
as
well
as
our
solar
system
as
a
whole.
We
have
only
just
begun
to
scratch
(抓)
the
surface
of
such
celestial
bodies,
both
literally
and
figuratively
(象征性地).
However,
we
have
already
learned
so
much
and
have
a
lot
left
to
discover.
4.
What
do
we
know
about
the
Chang’e
5
lunar
probe?
A.
It
was
launched
on
Dec
17.
B.
It
collected
the
world’s
first
lunar
sample.
C.
It
brought
back
1,713
grams
of
lunar
samples.
D.
It
completed
the
most
successful
mission
recently.
5.
Which
of
the
following
collected
the
first
asteroid
samples?
A.
Hayabusa.
B.
Hayabusa
2.
C.
OSIRIS-REx.
D.
Russia’s
Lunar-25.
6.
What
can
the
samples
shed
light
on
(阐明)?

The
origin
of
life.
B.
Structure
of
the
solar
system.
C.
Which
celestial
bodies
have
water.
D.
How
water
first
appeared
on
the
moon.
7.
What
will
scientists
do
with
the
samples?
A.
Analyze
them
and
conduct
experiments.
B.
Determine
their
sources.
C.
Compare
them
with
space
photos.
D.
Scratch
their
surfaces.
C
We
know
that
artificial
intelligence
(AI)
is
smart
enough
to
do
a
few
things
our
minds
cannot,
and
with
incredible
accuracy.
And
now,
it
seems
it
also
has
the
capacity
to
detect
loneliness
in
humans,
which
is
an
otherwise
challenging
task.
A
new
study,
led
by
researchers
at
the
University
of
California
San
Diego
School
of
Medicine,
US,
has
shown
how
AI
tools
can
predict
levels
of
loneliness
from
a
person’s
speech
with
an
accuracy
rate
of
94
percent.
The
study
focused
on
80
participants
aged
66
to
94,
a
population
particularly
vulnerable
(易受伤的;易受攻击的)
to
loneliness.
The
subjects
were
asked
20
questions
from
the
University
of
California
Los
Angeles
(UCLA)
Loneliness
Scale,
which
uses
a
four-point
rating
scale
(量表)
for
questions
such
as
“How
often
do
you
feel
left
out?”
and
“How
often
do
you
feel
part
of
a
group
of
friends?”
They
were
also
interviewed
in
private
conversations,
which
were
recorded
and
transcribed
(转录)
by
researchers.
The
transcripts
(文字记录)
were
then
examined
using
natural
language
processing
(处理)
tools,
including
IBM
Watson
Natural
Language
Understanding
(WNLU)
software,
to
quantify
(量化)
expressed
emotions.
The
interesting
thing
about
this
system
is
that
it
not
only
uses
dictionary-based
methods,
such
as
searching
for
specific
words
that
express
fear,
but
also
presents
corresponding
(相应的)
patterns
by
testing
the
words
used
in
the
response.
Varsha
Badal,
the
first
author
of
the
study,
noted
that
the
WNLU
software
system
uses
deep
learning
to
extract
(提取)
data
from
keywords,
categories,
emotions
and
grammar.
“Natural
language
processing
and
machine
learning
can
systematically
examine
long
interviews
from
multiple
individuals
and
explore
how
subtle
(微妙的)
speech
features
such
as
emotions
may
indicate
loneliness,”
Badal
said.
“Similar
emotion
analyses
by
humans
would
be
open
to
bias
(偏见),
lack
consistency,
and
require
extensive
(大量的)
training
to
standardize.”
The
more
lonely
a
person
felt,
the
longer
their
responses
to
direct
questions
regarding
loneliness.
The
system
was
capable
of
not
just
detecting
the
degree
of
loneliness
in
each
subject,
but
also
showing
differences
between
the
way
men
and
women
spoke
about
loneliness.
The
men
were
found
to
use
more
fearful
and
joyful
words
in
their
responses,
while
the
women
tended
to
acknowledge
feeling
lonely
during
interviews.
Co-author
Dilip
Jeste
said
that
the
IBM-UC
San
Diego
Center
is
now
exploring
natural
language
patterns
of
loneliness
and
wisdom,
which
are
inversely
(成反比地)
linked
in
older
adults.
“Speech
data
can
be
combined
with
our
other
assessments
of
cognition
(认知),
mobility
(运动),
sleep,
physical
activity
and
mental
health
to
improve
understanding
of
aging
and
to
help
contribute
to
successful
aging,”
he
said.
8.
What
can
we
know
about
the
study?
A.
It
involved
80
middle-aged
participants.
B.
It
could
reach
as
high
as
90
percent
in
accuracy.
C.
It
relied
on
AI
tools
from
the
beginning.
D.
Its
original
data
was
partly
from
private
interviews.
9.
How
did
the
WNLU
software
system
contribute
to
the
loneliness
study?
A.
By
detecting
speech
patterns
that
show
emotion.
B.
By
removing
bias
from
the
transcribing
process.
C.
By
locating
specific
words
in
long
conversations.
D.
By
standardizing
the
training
of
emotion
analyses.
10.
Which
of
the
following
is
among
the
findings?
A.
The
degree
of
loneliness
is
unrelated
to
gender.
B.
The
way
we
talk
about
loneliness
varies
with
age.
C.
Lonelier
people
had
longer
responses
about
loneliness.
D.
Women
tend
to
be
more
optimistic
about
loneliness.
11.
What
does
Dilip
Jeste
imply
in
the
last
paragraph?
A.
Further
study
is
needed
to
improve
the
system’s
accuracy.
B.
AI
tools
can
be
applied
to
studying
the
secret
of
aging.
C.
Speech
data
is
important
for
assessing
cognition.
D.
The
study
is
helpful
for
studying
aging.

It
was
a
hot
humid
summer
day,
and
I
had
just
pulled
into
the
local
gas
station
to
fill
my
tank.
After
pumping
the
gas,
I
started
to
walk
inside
to
pay.
That
is
when
I
noticed
them.
Two
elderly
women
were
standing
back
from
their
car.
There
was
a
mixture
of
shock
and
fear
on
their
faces.
I
looked
and
saw
what
they
saw:
five
yellowjackets
(小黄蜂)
building
a
nest
around
their
gas
cap.
My
eyes
widened.
I
shared
the
ladies’
fear.
Yellowjackets
had
never
been
friends
of
mine.
Several
times
these
wasps
(黄蜂)
had
attacked
me
while
I
was
cutting
the
grass,
giving
me
multiple
stings
(蛰)
each
time
I
ran
over
their
ground
nests.
The
worst
time,
however,
happened
when
I
was
a
young
boy.
A
friend
of
mine
and
I
were
running
and
playing
in
my
backyard.
I
must
have
stepped
on
one
of
their
hidden
nests
again
because
before
I
knew
it,
both
of
us
were
being
chased
and
stung
over
and
over
by
the
yellowjackets
while
we
ran
away
screaming.
I
ran
to
my
mom
with
tears
in
my
eyes.
She
immediately
ran
a
cold
bath
and
put
us
both
in
it
to
ease
the
pain
and
itching
(痒)
before
giving
us
medicine
to
fight
all
the
poison
in
our
little
bodies
from
the
stings.
Still,
I
knew
I
couldn’t
let
fear
stop
me
now.
I
reached
into
my
back
pocket
for
a
paper
towel
I
had
there,
tore
out
the
nest
and
stepped
on
it
while
the
angry
wasps

It
was
a
hot
afternoon
in
Tallahassee,
Florida,
in
June
2019,
and
the
pool
was
full
of
people.
Colbi
Heard,
a
handsome
9-year-old
boy,
was
putting
his
swimming
cap
on
when
he
noticed
something
floating
nearby.
He
swam
closer
and
realized
it
was
a
little
boy.
"I
wanted
to
play
with
him,"
Colbi
thought.
Colbi
swam
around
the
boy,
checking
him
out.
But
when
the
boy
didn't
move,
"I
knew
he
was
hurt
and
needed
help,"
said
Colbi.
The
boy
was
Omari
Howard,
a
lovely
three-year-old
who
had
come
to
the
pool
with
his
mother,
Keyonna,
and
his
uncle
Travis.
At
first,
Omari
was
in
the
shallow
end(浅水区)playing
with
others.
Later,
he
began
swimming
across
the
pool
to
look
for
his
mother
and
something
unexpected
happened.
Nobody
noticed
him
for
seconds,
except
Colbi.
According
to
Colbi's
mom,
Severia,
Colbi
has
autism(自闭症),
which
makes
him
particularly
sensitive
to
unfamiliar
things.
Just
moments
earlier,
he
had
asked
his
mother
when
they
could
go
home
because
he
was
troubled
by
all
the
noise.
Severia
believed
it
was
his
sensitivity
that
caused
him
to
notice
Omari
that
day.
"He's
very
careful,"
Severia
said.
"He's
a
caring
boy,
and
he's
interested
in
little
kids.
If
it
wasn't
for
that
love,
I
don't
think
that
little
boy
would
be
alive
today."
Colbi
took
Omari
out
and
turned
to
his
uncle,
who
rushed
him
to
his
mother,
Keyonna.
Omari's
face
was
pale,
and
he
wasn't
breathing.
"My
baby,
my
baby!"
Keyonna
cried.
Nobody
knew
what
to
do.
That's
when
Severia
heard
a
friend
cry
her
name.
She
turned
and
saw
the
sad
mother.
Severia,
a
nurse
in
Tallahassee,
ran
over.
At
this
point,
she
didn't
know
that
the
boy
was
found
by
Colbi.
"I
just
knew
the
boy
didn't
breathe,"
she
said.
Severia
stayed
calm
and
tried
to
save
him.
Severia
says,
"I
just
wanted
to
bring
this
baby
back
to
life."

perfect.
The
25-year-old
Beijing
woman
is
a
social

promotes
designer
clothes
and
brands,
and
shares
her
life
on

behind
Ling,
they
aimed
to
build
the
virtual

into
a
web
influencer
interested
in
guofeng

national
style).
Chen
Zhe
from
the
company
Frees
Fund,
believes
that
the
rise
of
virtual
influencers

have
great
advantages.
Unlike
human
influencers
who
will
get
old,
or
may
become
involved
in
some
sort
of
scandal
(丑闻),
digital
influencers
are
young,
flexible,
manageable
and
controllable,”
he
said.
Chen
Yan
also
pointed
out
that
although
influencers
like
Ling
are
virtual,
their
influence
is
real.
Like
it
or
not,
they
will
bring
big
changes
to
the

B
We
now
are
in
a
“golden
age”
of
space-sample
retrieval
(取回)
and
exploration.
Space
agencies
around
the
world
are
busy
collecting,
or
planning
to
collect,
samples
from
celestial
bodies
(天体)
like
asteroids
(小行星),
moons
and
planets.
China’s
Chang’e
5
mission
is
the
most
recent
sample-return
mission
that
has
been
successfully
completed.
On
Dec
17,
the
Chang’e
5
lunar
probe
(探测器)
returned
home
and
landed
in
the
Inner
Mongolia
autonomous
region
after
weeks
of
space
travel,
China
Daily
reported.
This
was
the
world’s
first
lunar
sample-return
mission
since
1976.
The
mission
retrieved
an
incredible
1,713
grams
of
samples
of
rocks
and
dust
with
the
help
of
a
drill
(钻孔机)
and
a
mechanical
(机械的)
arm.
Another
space
sample-return
mission
was
completed
on
Dec
6.
Japan’s
Hayabusa2
probe
returned
a
capsule
to
Earth
containing
valuable
samples
from
the
asteroid
Ryugu.
This
was
the
second
time
asteroid
samples
have
ever
been
collected
and
brought
back
to
Earth.
The
first
asteroid
samples
were
collected
by
the
original
Hayabusa
spacecraft
back
in
2010.
There
will
be
more
such
missions
in
the
near
future.
NASA’s
OSIRIS-REx
spacecraft,
which
collected
samples
from
the
asteroid
Bennu
in
October,
is
expected
to
return
to
Earth
in
2023.
Russia’s
Lunar-25
mission
is
scheduled
to
launch
to
the
moon
in
2021
to
collect
lunar
samples.
Collecting
these
samples
from
different
celestial
bodies
is
important
because
they
can
help
to
answer
questions
that
have
puzzled
scientists
for
years,
such
as
how
life
first
came
about
or
how
water
appeared
on
our
planet.
“I
cannot
emphasize
enough
how
valuable
return
samples
are
for
increasing
our
understanding
of
the
origin
and
evolution
of
our
solar
system
and
our
place
in
the
universe,
and
how
we
came
to
be,”
said
Ann
Nguyen,
a
NASA
planetary
scientist.
Once
the
space
samples
are
delivered
to
Earth,
they
are
then
analyzed
with
high-powered
tools.
These
tools
can
help
to
reveal
more
detailed
information
than
just
photos
or
robotic
rovers
(探测车)
alone.
As
for
the
Chang’e
5
lunar
samples,
scientists
will
conduct
various
analyses,
tests
and
experiments
to
determine
the
composition
(构成),
structure
and
physical
characteristics
of
the
samples.
This
information
will
help
to
deepen
our
knowledge
about
the
history
of
the
moon,
as
well
as
our
solar
system
as
a
whole.
We
have
only
just
begun
to
scratch
(抓)
the
surface
of
such
celestial
bodies,
both
literally
and
figuratively
(象征性地).
However,
we
have
already
learned
so
much
and
have
a
lot
left
to
discover.

We
know
that
artificial
intelligence
(AI)
is
smart
enough
to
do
a
few
things
our
minds
cannot,
and
with
incredible
accuracy.
And
now,
it
seems
it
also
has
the
capacity
to
detect
loneliness
in
humans,
which
is
an
otherwise
challenging
task.
A
new
study,
led
by
researchers
at
the
University
of
California
San
Diego
School
of
Medicine,
US,
has
shown
how
AI
tools
can
predict
levels
of
loneliness
from
a
person’s
speech
with
an
accuracy
rate
of
94
percent.
The
study
focused
on
80
participants
aged
66
to
94,
a
population
particularly
vulnerable
(易受伤的;易受攻击的)
to
loneliness.
The
subjects
were
asked
20
questions
from
the
University
of
California
Los
Angeles
(UCLA)
Loneliness
Scale,
which
uses
a
four-point
rating
scale
(量表)
for
questions
such
as
“How
often
do
you
feel
left
out?”
and
“How
often
do
you
feel
part
of
a
group
of
friends?”
They
were
also
interviewed
in
private
conversations,
which
were
recorded
and
transcribed
(转录)
by
researchers.
The
transcripts
(文字记录)
were
then
examined
using
natural
language
processing
(处理)
tools,
including
IBM
Watson
Natural
Language
Understanding
(WNLU)
software,
to
quantify
(量化)
expressed
emotions.
The
interesting
thing
about
this
system
is
that
it
not
only
uses
dictionary-based
methods,
such
as
searching
for
specific
words
that
express
fear,
but
also
presents
corresponding
(相应的)
patterns
by
testing
the
words
used
in
the
response.
Varsha
Badal,
the
first
author
of
the
study,
noted
that
the
WNLU
software
system
uses
deep
learning
to
extract
(提取)
data
from
keywords,
categories,
emotions
and
grammar.
“Natural
language
processing
and
machine
learning
can
systematically
examine
long
interviews
from
multiple
individuals
and
explore
how
subtle
(微妙的)
speech
features
such
as
emotions
may
indicate
loneliness,”
Badal
said.
“Similar
emotion
analyses
by
humans
would
be
open
to
bias
(偏见),
lack
consistency,
and
require
extensive
(大量的)
training
to
standardize.”
The
more
lonely
a
person
felt,
the
longer
their
responses
to
direct
questions
regarding
loneliness.
The
system
was
capable
of
not
just
detecting
the
degree
of
loneliness
in
each
subject,
but
also
showing
differences
between
the
way
men
and
women
spoke
about
loneliness.
The
men
were
found
to
use
more
fearful
and
joyful
words
in
their
responses,
while
the
women
tended
to
acknowledge
feeling
lonely
during
interviews.
Co-author
Dilip
Jeste
said
that
the
IBM-UC
San
Diego
Center
is
now
exploring
natural
language
patterns
of
loneliness
and
wisdom,
which
are
inversely
(成反比地)
linked
in
older
adults.
“Speech
data
can
be
combined
with
our
other
assessments
of
cognition
(认知),
mobility
(运动),
sleep,
physical
activity
and
mental
health
to
improve
understanding
of
aging
and
to
help
contribute
to
successful
aging,”
he
said.

relied
on
AI
tools
from
the
beginning.
D.
Its
original
data
was
partly

did
the
WNLU
software
system
contribute
to
the
loneliness
study?

By
removing
bias
from
the
transcribing
process.

By
locating
specific
words
in
long
conversations.
D.

standardizing
the
training
of
emotion
analyses.
10.
Which
of
the
following
is
among
the
findings?
A.
The
degree
of
loneliness

C.
Lonelier
people
had
longer
responses
about
loneliness.
D.
Women
tend
to
be
more
optimistic
about
loneliness.
11.
What
does
Dilip
Jeste
imply
in
the
last
paragraph?
A.
Further
study

researchers.(他们还接受了私人谈话的采访,这些谈话由研究人员记录和转录。)”可知,这项研究的原始数据部分来自私人采访。故选D项。
【9题详解】
细节理解题。根据文章第五段“The
interesting
thing
about
this
system
is
that
it
not
only
uses
dictionary-based
methods,
such
as
searching
for
specific
words
that
express
fear,
but
also
presents
corresponding
patterns
by
testing
the
words
used
in
the
response.(有趣的是,这个系统不仅使用基于词典的方法,比如搜索特定的表达恐惧的单词,还通过测试回答中使用的单词来呈现相应的模式。)”可知,WNLU软件系统可以通过检测显示情感的语言模式对孤独研究。故选A项。
【10题详解】
推理判断题。根据文章倒数第二段“The
more
lonely
a
person
felt,
the
longer
their
responses
to
direct
questions

he
said.(他说:“语言数据可以与我们对认知、行动能力、睡眠、身体活动和心理健康的其他评估相结合,以提高对衰老的理解,并有助于健康老龄化。”)”可推断,Dilip

There

I

five
yellowjackets

building
a

around

My

widened.
I
shared

Yellowjackets

me
now.
I
reached
into
my

for
a

I
had
there,
tore
out
the
nest
and
stepped
on
it
while
the
angry

me.
Both
of

I
said,

【解析】
这是一篇说明文。文章讲述了英国广播公司纪录片《荒野间谍》让我们有机会通过“动物间谍”的眼睛近距离地观察动物世界。这部纪录片旨在记录我们很少看到的动物行为。
【16题详解】
根据文章In
2017,
the
BBC
documentary
Spy
in
the
Wild
(《荒野间谍》)
gave
us
a
chance
to
look
much
more
closely
into
the
world
of
animals
through
the
eyes
of
“animal
spies”.可知,2017年,英国广播公司纪录片《荒野间谍》让我们有机会通过“动物间谍”的眼睛近距离地观察动物世界。和下句They
“live”
together
with
animals
in
order
to
record
their
lives.可知,他们和动物一起“生活”,以便记录他们的生活。所以段中应该有一个过渡句,所以C项These
spies
are
actually
robots
with
cameras
that
look
like
real
animals.(这些间谍实际上是带有摄像头的机器人,看起来像真正的动物。)符合题意,故选C。
【17题详解】
段中过渡句,根据文章Returning
for
its
second
season,
Spy
in
the
Wild
follows
the
tradition
of
the
first
season
while
introducing
new
cameras
and
robots.可知,《荒野间谍》第二季回归,延续了第一季的传统,同时引入了新相机和机器人。再因For
example,
a
spy
turtle
can
lay
robot
eggs,
a
spy
squirrel
can
gather
robot
nuts,
and
monkeys
can
play
with
a
spy
snowball.可知,例如,一只间谍龟可以产下机器人蛋,一只间谍松鼠可以收集机器人坚果,猴子可以玩一个间谍雪球。所以中间需要一个过渡句来顺承,所以D项With
the
help
of
these
robots,
these
“animal
spies”
can
do
many
things.(在这些机器人的帮助下,这些“动物间谍”可以做很多事情。)符合,故选D。
【18题详解】
根据文章In
the
new
season,
more
than
50
spy
robots
are
sent
to
study
animals
in
all
kinds
of
environments,
from
under
the
Pacific
Ocean
to
the
Arctic.可知,在新的一季中,50多个间谍机器人被派去研究各种环境中的动物,从太平洋底到北极。段中理解,注意后文的they的回指,只有B和C选项涉及名词复数,C选项已经用过,所以B项But
these
spies
don’t
just
record
everyday
goings-on.(但是这些间谍不仅仅记录每天发生的事情,他们第一手研究动物之间共享的情感联系。)符合题意,故选B。
【19题详解】
根据文章For
example,
a
spy
penguin
was
accepted
as
part
of
a
group
in
South
Georgia
Island.可知,例如,一只间谍企鹅被南乔治亚岛的一个企鹅群体接受。以及后文Quite
accidentally,
our
spy
creature
is
at
the
center
of
something
special,
capturing
(捕捉到)
emotions
that
have
seldom
been
watched
可知,“非常偶然地,我们的间谍生物正处于某种特殊事物的中心,捕捉到很少被人关注的情感。”所以应该有一个过渡句,所以G项It
watched
on
as
penguin
parents
tried
hard
to
make
it
home
to
feed
their
chicks.(当企鹅爸妈赶回家去给他们的宝宝喂食时,他负责站岗。)故选G。
【20题详解】
根据文章The
whole
point
is
...
trying
to
get
closer
than
we
ever
have
before
to
capture
those
elusive
(难以得到的)
moments
when
they
start
to
show
the
kind
of
emotions
we
have,”director
John
Downer
told
PBS.
可知,“关键是它试图比以往任何时候都更接近捕捉那些难以得到的情感,”导演告诉PBS。所以设空处应该是考段落主旨大意,故F项The
documentary
aims
to
record
animal
behavior
that
we
would
rarely
see.(这部纪录片旨在记录我们很少看到的动物行为。)符合题意,故选F。
