教学背景
本课内容以小学六年级学生为教学对象,他们已经具备一定的听说读写能力。经过三年多的英语学习,课堂上基本能够听懂老师的提问,能够根据图片提示理解文本内容、能进行较为简单的对话及表达。六年级的学生已经掌握并能灵活使用大量动作词(组)、形容词,同时,通过Last
weekend和Where
did
you
go?两个单元的学习,学生已经接触了比较级、一般过去式的用法。
本单元主题为Then
and
now,通过事物、人物的今昔对比,呈现不同的变化。本节课为第三课时,经过前两课的学习,学生已经学会了表示过去的时间短语,初步掌握一般现在时和一般过去式的用法,小部分学生能将两种时态放在一起对比呈现。
教学内容解读
本节课为小学英语(PEP)六年级下册第四单元Then
and
now的第三课时,教学内容为Let’s
try&Let’s
talk.
在单元主题“Then
and
now”情景下,教材通过Mike、John、Chen
Jie三人看Mike的老照片的情景,通过个人从过去到现在的变化,学习描述人物成长过程中的变化,从而内化语言表达。
作为对话教学,本课是A对话部分能力基础上话题延伸(从事物变化延伸人物变化),本课的教学因继续围绕单元主题,从单元整体教学入手,引导学生从寻找Mike过去到现在的变化,在猜测、验证、总结中,不断理解文本、学习句型、训练朗读、练习对话、分享表达,并通过四方面来分享自己的成长改变和介绍朋友的变化,强化学生的语法意识和表达逻辑,在具体的话题和情景中对比并灵活运用两种时态,锻炼语言表达能力。

教师利用游戏“对or错”进入热身环节,活跃课堂,营造英语学习氛围。同时大量复现了对人物外貌、性格、爱好、能力的描述,为新课的导入做铺垫。让学生在对知识理解的基础上,激发学生对英语课堂的热情,发展学生的个性体验。
通过观看视频,输入大量丰富多元的句子,引导学生归纳“change”,并在对比中体会物和人“变化”,从而进入主题。
依次观察几组搞笑或者新奇的照片,在观察和体验中感知模仿描述以前和现在变化的句子,新授active,
go
cycling,
couldn’t等词汇。在学生观察后提出个性化的答案时,教师可以给予相应正对性的指导和肯定,同时引导学生关注过去时和一般现在时(包括第三人称单数形式)的运用。
通过讨论问题,引导学生猜测答案。利用学生的年级教学grade。
通过Look
and
say、Watch
and
answer两个环节,采用不同难度的问题引导学生说出Mike和John的变化,满足了不同层次学生的需求。教师将学生的输出板书下来,在进行纠错的同时引导学生关注过去时和一般现在时的运用。
通过整理
Mike和John的变化,让学生总结出在描述人物变化时可以从外貌、个性、喜好、能力四个方面入手。锻炼了学生的概括能力和信息转化能力,帮助学生提高语言输出的逻辑性。
比较原对话和删减后的对话,谈谈自己的看法。关注交际语言的使用,引导学生在交际中尽可能的丰富自己的语言,进行自然化的对话。
通过两个听读、点读、自读等环节,引导学生按照正确的语音、语调及意群朗读并表演对话,同时关注个体差异,利用反复正音、跟读的方式进行补差,让学生获得体验成功的乐趣,树立学生学习的信心,促进学生的全面发展。
教师利用自己的老照片,从四个维度谈谈自己的变化,搭建语言支架。每一个方面请一两位同学描述自己的变化,作为示范。同时请其他同学复述ta的变化,锻炼听、复述的能力,同时强化第三人称的使用。
英语既是一门学科,又是一种交流的语言,小组合作为学生创造了一个交流的平台。因此,引导学生采用两人合作的方式,并根据自己的能力选择2-4个方面,描述自己的变化,体现差异性和个性化。
