Reading — Saving the antelope
Teaching Aims
1. Aim to the knowledge: To learn about the endangered animal--- antelopes and deal with the words, phrases and sentences.
2. Aim to the abilities :To improve the students reading skills and communication ability.
3. Aims to the emotion: To train the students to love nature and wild animals.

Teaching Procedure
Step1:leading-in
Use the mascot of 2008 Olympic Games to make students interested in the topic
Use some pictures to stimulate students to protect animals
Step2:Reading
一:Fast reading
Do some true of false questions and find out the mistakes if the sentence is wrong
四: Intensive reading
Task 1: Read para.1 and find out the clue of this paragraph.
Task 2: Read para.2 and 3 and finish some questions
Divide the questions into 3 levels, Different level stands for different score.
Task3: Read para.4 and 5 , make an interview
Student A is an official from an organization which protect antelopes, student B is a reporter , making an interview about the measures .
Step3:Discussion
Speak out the opinions that why we should protect the animals and our earth.
(Design an activity: Give out some cards to the students and let them write down their opinions and speak out, and then stick them on the blackboard).
Homework:
Conclusion:Animals are our friends. Let’s live with each other in a friendly way. Do our best to protect our family ---- OUR EARTH!
