Three
Japanese
tourists
taking
a
holiday
in
Australia
got
stuck
when
their
GPS
told
them
they
could
drive
from
the
mainland
to
an
island,
failing
to
mention
the
15
kilometres
of
water
and
mud
in
between.
As
they
drove
their
hired
car
from
Moreton
Bay
to
nearby
North
Stradbroke
Island,
they
started
to
notice
the
firm
surface
they
were
driving
on
giving
way
to
the
well?known
bay
mud.
However,
being
confident
that
their
GPS
would
direct
them
to
a
road
soon,
they
decided
to
drive
on,
managing
to
travel
around
500
metres
before
their
car
was
up
to
its
tires
in
mud.
To
make
matters
worse,
the
tide
(潮汐)
started
to
come
in
and
soon
forced
them
to
seek
help
and
abandon
the
vehicle.
Just
four
hours
later
the
car
was
trapped
in
two
metres
of
water—to
the
great
amusement
of
onlookers
on
the
shore
and
passengers
on
passing
boats
and
ferries.
Yuzu
Noda,
21,
said
she
was
listening
to
the
GPS
and
“it
told
us
we
could
drive
down
there.
It
kept
saying
it
would
navigate
(导航)
US
to
a
road.
But
we
got
stuck
...
there's
lots
of
mud”.
She
and
her
travel
companions
Tomonari
Saeki,
22,
and
Keita
Osada,
21,
instead
had
to
give
up
their
plans
for
a
day
trip
to
the
island
and
headed
back
to
the
Gold
Coast
of
a
lift
from
the
RACQ
tow
truck
(吊车)
driver
who
was
called
to
the
trapped
car.
No
such
luck
for
the
hired
car,
though—after
assessing
the
situation,
no
attempt
was
made
to
recover
it.
The
students
from
Tokyo,
who
are
due
to
return
home
tomorrow,
said
the
experience
would
not
put
them
off
returning
to
Australia
for
another
visit.
Mr
Tomonari
said,
“It
has
rained
every
day
on
our
six
day
holiday.
Hopefully
next
time
we
come
back
it
will
be
sunny.”
The
car
was
covered
by
insurance,
but
the
tourists
will
have
to
pay
up
to
about
$1,500
in
extra
charges.

their
journey.

was

in

9.Why

abandon
their
car?

onlookers
went
to
save
them.
B.They
got
stuck
in
the
mud.
C.There
came
the
tide.
D.They
managed
to
travel
around
500
metres.

get
back?

their
GPS
and

to

to

on
boats
and

had
to
take
a
lift
from

passage?

where
it
was
trapped.

saved
these
students
in
the
end.

D
When
I
decided
to
quit
my
job
as
a
wedding
photographer,
I
was
in
my
late
twenties,
fresh
from
my
divorce
from
Bob
who
had
left
me
empty
and
confused.
I
decided
to
leave
the
US
and
travel.
I
had
no
savings,
plus
more
than
$5,000
in
debt.
What
I
did
have
were
two
sponsored
tasks
as
a
travel
photographer—and
with
that
along,
I
thought,
it
would
be
easy.
My
first
experience
was
a
road
trip
from
Toronto
to
Las
Vegas,
paid
for
by
a
car
delivery
service.
Other
trips
followed
and
then
I
started
a
travel
blog
(博客).
It
was
intended
to
be
my
calling
card
for
assignment
travel
photography.
Yet
even
with
my
blog
and
past
experience,
email
after
email
I
sent
to
publications,
trying
to
get
work,
went
unanswered.
When
they
did
get
in
touch,
editors
told
me
that
I
had
no
chance
of
making
a
career
with
travel
photography.
While
I
struggled
to
get
on
the
path
that
I
wanted,
and
as
I
expanded
my
blog
to
help
get
me
there,
I
found
myself
wearing
the
hat
of
a
full?time
blogger.
Luckily,
I
got
in
at
the
right
time.
It
was
2010,
and
the
travel
industry
was
just
starting
to
turn
its
attention
to
bloggers.
As
I
never
could
have
predicted,
my
blogging—not
my
photography—did
take
me
around
the
world
successfully.
At
first,
I
thought
it
was
for
personal
reasons,
but
I
realized
later
that
it
was
for
free
marketing
for
my
blogging.
Within
two
years,
I
was
being
asked
to
speak
at
travel
blogging
conferences,
which
helped
me
to
raise
a
network
of
friends
around
the
world.
Even
more
meaningful,
however,
was
when
I
saw
that
my
travels
were
also
helping
other
people.
My
blog
and
social
media
followers
saw
that
I
chased
my
dreams
and
told
me
over
and
over
again
how
they
needed
that
kind
of
example,
which
was
absent
in
their
lives
elsewhere.
12.After

off
all
her
debts
D.go
travelling
abroad
13.What
can
we
learn
about
the
author
from
the
2nd
paragraph?
A.She
paid
money
to
a
car
delivery
agency
for
a
road
trip.
B.She
realised
his
dream
of
becoming
a
travel
photographer.
C.She
got
a
job
as
an
editor
in
a
publishing
house.
D.She
finally
became
a
professional
blogger
unintentionally.
14.The
author
believed
her
success
mainly
resulted
from
________.
A.her
personal
reasons
B.her
photographing
skills
C.free
marketing
for
blogging
D.booming
of
travel
industry
15.What
did

her
two
years'
work?

Taking
photos
while
on
holiday
is
not
an
uncommon
activity.
Tourists
do
it
all
the
time,
but
if
you
want
to
take
things
further,
here
are
some
tips
that
can
help
you
along
the
way.
First
of
all,
there
is
the
matter
of
equipment.
Of
course,
most
people
believe
that
the
higher
end
your
camera
is,
the
better
the
photos
will
turn
out.
__1__
The
quality
of
DSLR
cameras
(数码单反相机)
is
superior
to
the
one
of
small
cameras
and
smartphones,
but
only
if
you
know
how
to
adjust
(调整)
their
settings.
However,
if
you
don't
know
how
to
do
it,
an
iPhone
camera
is
enough
too.
__2__You
can
shoot
amazing
photos
without
having
to
travel
with
a
large
and
heavy
camera.
Secondly,
you
need
to
do
some
research
in
advance
and
discover
the
best
photo
spots.
Your
photos
don't
have
to
look
like
travel
cards.
On
the
contrary,
you
can
catch
the
beauty
of
a
place
by
finding
its
uncommon
corners
and
subjects.
For
example,
if
you're
going
to
a
crowded
city,
don't
just
take
photos
of
high
buildings.
__3__You
may
see
a
new
face
of
the
city
at
that
time.
Thirdly,
you
have
to
be
patient.
__4__For
the
best
picture,
come
back
to
the
same
spot
several
times
or
stay
at
one
spot
for
some
time.
You
might
come
across
something
special
as
you
wait:a
bird
flying
across
an
old
temple,
a
mother
and
her
baby
passing
by,
or
just
the
sun
giving
beautiful
colors
on
the
roofs.
__5__
Take
as
many
photos
as
you
can
and
don't
be
disappointed
if
your
first
travel
photos
are
not
National
Geographic
material,
because
they
will
get
better
with
time.
A.So
this
is
the
most
important.
B.But
that
is
only
true
in
a
way.
C.Its
quality
has
increased
a
lot.
D.Don't
forget
that
practice
makes
perfect.
E.I
also
enjoy
photographing
animals.
F.You
may
have
to
take
several
shots
until
you
discover
the
right
one.
G.Try
street
photography
or
take
pictures
at
night.

For
example,
when
I
get
to
someplace
I
like,
I
choose

longer
and
don't

about

Secondly,

__7__
(three),
in
order

In
the
meantime,
traveling
on
my
own
is

Finally,

However,
many
people
say
that
package

On
the

第二节
故事续写(25分)
阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
I
had
never
been
more
anxious
in
my
life.
I
had
just
spent
the
last
three
endless
hours
trying
to
get
to
the
airport
so
that
I
could
travel
home.
Now,
as
I
watched
the
bus
driver
set
my
luggage
on
the
airport
sidewalk,
I
realized
that
my
anxiety
had
only
just
begun.
This
was
my
first
visit
alone
to
the
international_terminal
of
the
airport,
and
nothing
was
familiar.
I
could
not
make_sense_of
any
of
the
signs.
Where
was
the
check?in_counter?
Where
should
I
take
my
luggage?
I
had
no
idea
where
to
go,
feeling
as
if
I
were
deaf
and
blind
and
stupid.
I
began
to
panic.
What
time
was
it?
Where
was
my_plane?
I
had
to
find
help
because
I
could
not
be
late!
I
tried
to
ask
a
passing
businessman
for
help,_but
my
words
all
came
out
wrong.
He
just
frowned
and
walked
away.
What
had
happened?
I
had
been
in
this
country
for
a
whole
semester,
and
I
could
not
even
remember
how
to
ask
for
directions.
This
was
awful!
Another
bus
arrived
at
the
terminal,
and
the
passengers
came
out
carrying
all
sorts
of
luggage.
Here
was
my
chance!
I
could
follow
them
to
the
right
place,
and
I
would
not
have
to
say
a
word.
I
dragged
my
enormous
suitcase
behind
me
and
followed
the
group.
We
finally
reached
the
elevators.
Oh,
no!
They
all
fit
in
it,
but
there
was
not
enough
room
for
me.
I
watched
in
despair
as
the
elevator
doors
closed.
I
was
abandoned
again!
I
had
no
idea
what
to
do
next.
I
got
on
the
elevator
when
it
returned
and
stared
at
all
the
buttons.
Which
one
could
it
be?
I
pressed
button
3,
because
I
thought
I
saw
those
passengers
pressed
3,
though
it
was
no
more
than
a
quick
glance.
The
elevator
slowly
climbed
up
to
the
third
floor
and
came
to
a
stop.
A
high,
unpleasant
noise
announced
the
opening
of
the
doors,
and
I
looked
around
shyly.

Dear
Emily,
Glad
to
hear
from
you.
You
have
asked
me
for
my
advice
on
travelling
in
Yunnan.
It's
my
great
pleasure
to
give
you
some
suggestions.
To
begin
with,
I
suggest
that
you
fly
directly
to
Lijiang
Town,
which
is
a
beautiful
town
with
an
altitude
of
about
2,500
meters.
Not
only
can
you
experience
Naxi
culture
but
also
you
can
see
different
styles
of
outdoor
bars.
Besides,
it
would
be
a
good
idea
if
you
pay
a
visit
to
the
wonderful
Shangri?La.
It
is
filled
with
world?class
sights
and
sceneries,
which
draws
millions
of
tourists
every
year.
Moreover,
having
a
walk
in
the
Yunnan
Nationalities
Villages
is
a
good
choice.
You
can
get
in
touch
with
a
variety
of
minority
cultures
of
China.
I
hope
you
will
have
a
good
time
travelling.
I
am
looking
forward
to
hearing

you
and
can
hardly
