第二部分
阅读理解
(共两节,满分40分)
第一节
(共15小题;
每小题2分,满分30分)
A
Do
you
like
shopping?
Or
does
the
thought
of
wandering
around
the
shops
fill
you
with
terror?
For
some
of
us,
shopping
is
an
enjoyable
way
of
spending
our
spare
time
and
our
money.
For
me,
it’s
something
I
would
rather
avoid.
Thank
goodness
for
the
Internet!
It’s
more
convenient
to
buy
CDs,
electrical
items,
even
food
from
the
comfort
of
your
sofa.
But
that’s
not
the
only
reason:
price
is
an
important
factor.
We
can
buy
goods
and
services
cheaper
online.
But
sometimes
the
problem
is
knowing
what
to
buy.
This
has
led
to
a
type
of
shopping
called
“showrooming”.
Showrooming
is
something
I’ve
done.
I
will
go
to
a
shop
to
see,
touch
and
try
out
products
but
then
go
home
and
buy
them
online
at
a
knock-down
price.
I’m
not
alone
in
doing
this.
Research
by
a
company
called
Foolproof,
found
24%
of
people
showroomed
while
Christmas
shopping
in
2013.
Amy
Cashman,
head
of
Technology
at
TNS
UK,
says
the
reasons
for
this
new
shopping
habit
are
that
“people
are
lacking
time,
lacking
money
and
they
want
security
about
the
products
they
are
buying”.
She
explains
that
consumers
are
not
only
shopping
online
at
home
but
they
are
using
the
Internet
in
store
or
on
their
smartphones
to
shop
around.
But
does
this
mean
technology
will
kill
shops?
Certainly
shops
will
change.
They
will
have
to
offer
more
competitive
prices
or
encourage
people
to
buy
more
by
giving
in-store
discounts
or
free
gifts.
We
mustn’t
forget
that
buying
in
a
shop
means
you
can
get
expert
advice
from
the
sales
assistant
and
you
can
get
good
aftercare.
It’s
good
to
speak
to
a
real
human
rather
than
look
at
a
faceless
computer
screen,
but
at
least
by
showrooming,
you
get
the
best
of
both
worlds!
1.
The
two
questions
in
Paragraph
1
are
raised
to
________.
A.
introduce
the
topic
B.
give
two
examples
C.
compare
different
opinions
D.
get
answers
from
readers
2.
According
to
Amy
Cashman,
which
is
not
the
reason
for
showrooming?
A.
The
lack
of
time.
B.
The
comfort
of
the
sofa.
C.
The
shortness
of
money.
D.
The
security
of
the
product.
3.
The
author’s
attitude
towards
showrooming
is
________.
A.
critical
B.
neutral
C.
casual
D.
supportive
【答案】1.
A
2.
B
3.
D

”(你喜欢购物吗?还是一想到在商店里闲逛你就感到恐惧?对我们中的一些人来说,购物是一种打发业余时间和金钱的愉快方式。对我来说,这是我宁愿避免的事情。)可知,本文内容是介绍网上购物,作者在文章开篇提出的问题只是起到引出话题“网上购物”的作用,故选A。

【7题详解】
推理判断题。阅读全文可知,文章的五段都是与房屋的主人有关,让他们出租多余的房间,停车位,甚至是屋顶。因此这篇文章最可能是为房子的主人写的。故选C项。
C
The
name
sounds
funny
but
the
idea
is
no
joke:
it’s
a
personal
toilet
called
the
pee-pool,
Anders
Wilhelmson,
a
Swedish
architect,
is
the
inventor
of
the
pee-pool.
He
became
interested
in
the
idea
of
sanitation
after
taking
part
in
a
research
project
on
the
social
and
political
development
of
cities.
One
of
the
most
common
problems
he
found
in
developing
countries
was
the
lack
of
toilets.
He
wanted
to
do
something
to
help,
so
working
with
others,
he
started
the
project
in
2005,
and
the
next
year
started
a
company
called
Peepoolple.
The
toilet
is
a
single-use
bag
made
of
environmentally
friendly
plastics.
The
inside
is
treated
with
urea(尿素),
a
chemical
commonly
used
as
fertilizer.
The
hotter
the
weather,
the
more
quickly
the
waste
turns
into
what
is
needed
by
plants.
The
sanitation
process
can
be
as
soon
as
a
couple
of
hours
or
as
long
as
two
to
four
weeks,
you
can
just
bury
it
in
a
pot
and
grow
whatever
you
like.
The
company
expects
to
start
selling
the
bags
in
August
in
Kenya
and
Bangladesh,
but
it
is
just
beginning
production
and
sales
in
Nairobi
now.
Full
production
could
reach
about
half
a
million
bags
a
day
and
people
may
be
able
to
buy
the
pee-pool
in
countries
Vietnam,
Bangladesh,
etc.
The
United
Nations
says
more
than
two
and
a
half
billion
people
around
the
world
do
not
have
good
sanitation.
Many
have
no
choice
but
to
use
the
outdoors,
which
is
not
only
bad
for
the
environment,
but
also
harmful
to
people’s
health.
Each
year,
poor
sanitation
leads
to
three
fifths
of
those
people
getting
an
infectious
disease
which
on
average
causes
one
out
of
1,000
patients
to
die.
Jack
Smith,
the
founder
of
the
World
Toilet
Organization,
says
“This
is
quite
an
unacceptable
situation
given
the
fact
that
we
are
living
in
the
modern
world,
and
strangely,
many
of
them
own
televisions,
phones
but
have
no
toilet.”

D
Misery
and
setbacks
are
not
always
as
terrible
as
one
imagines.
Hard
times
can
offer
new
ways
of
looking
at
life
that
would
otherwise
never
be
known.
And,
if
you
are
a
writer,
this
can
be
the
source
of
much
of
your
success.
Popular
British
author,
Charles
Dickens’(1812-1870)
family
could
hardly
make
ends
meet
(入不敷出).
They
could
only
afford
to
send
one
of
their
six
children
to
school.
Dickens
was
not
that
child.
His
parents
chose
to
send
a
daughter,
who
had
a
talent
for
music,
to
an
academy.
Then
at
the
age
of
12,
Dickens’
life
took
another
turn
for
the
worse.
His
father,
a
clerk,
was
placed
in
prison
for
unpaid
debts.
And,
being
the
oldest
male
left
at
home,
Dickens
took
up
work
at
a
factory.
His
horrible
experience
there
became
the
fuel
for
his
future
writing.
His
father
was
freed
three
months
later
and
inherited(继承)
a
small
amount
of
money.
Dickens
was
then
sent
to
school.
From
1836
to
1837,
he
wrote
a
monthly
series
of
stories.
Thus
the
“Pickwick
Papers”(《匹克威克外传》),
came
into
being,
which
brought
fame
to
the
23-year-old
man.
Throughout
his
career,
Dickens
covers
various
situations
in
his
novels.
He
wrote
about
the
miserable
lives
of
the
poor
in
“Oliver
Twist”(《雾都孤儿》),
the
French
Revolution
in
“Tale
of
Two
Cities”,
and
social
reform
in
“Hard
Times”
(《艰难时世》).
He
also
wrote
“David
Copperfield”
(《大卫·科波菲尔》),
a
book
thought
to
be
based
on
his
own
life.
“I

not

bitterly
or
angrily:
for
I
know
all
these
things
have
worked
together
to
make
me
what
I
am,”
he
once
said.
His
difficult
childhood
did
indeed
shape
the
person
he
became,
as
well
as
his
writing
career.
There
are
shades
of
young
Dickens
in
many
of
his
most
beloved
characters,
including
David
Copperfield
and
Oliver
Twist.
Like
the
author,
all
these
characters
come
from
poor
beginnings
and
are
able
to
rise
above
their
setbacks
and
achieve
success.
“Minds,
like
bodies,
will
often
fall
into
an
ill-conditioned
state
from
too
much
comfort,”
he
once
wrote.
On
June
9th,
1870,
aged
58,
Dickens
died,
leaving
one
unfinished
work.
The
words
on
his
tombstone
read:
“He
was
a
sympathizer(同情者)
to
the
poor,
the

(受压迫者),
and
by
his
death,
one
of
England’s
greatest
writers
is

to
the
world.”

days.”现在平均180天,符合语境。故选B。
【点睛】七选五解题策略:
从意思上判断。在做题时最重要的是要读懂空白前后的句子,正确理解了这些句子后,根据意思的连贯性、逻辑性或者线索词从选项中选取正确答案。
从词汇上锁定线索。要好好关注空白前后的名词和动词等,然后在选项中查找它们的近义词、反义词等。尤其在读不懂句子的情况下,利用这样的线索词寻找答案非常有效。
从关联词切入。通常句子与句子之间经常会运用一些关联词表示过渡和衔接。我们可以通过这些关联词来判断句与句之间的关系。比如and,or等表示并列;but表示转折;because表示因果等。这篇文章的第一个题,空白后有一个because,因此我们可以判断与上文是因果关系,而且because常常用来回答why提出的问题,所以我们可以得出答案。

A
Do
you
like
shopping?
Or
does
the
thought
of
wandering
around
the
shops
fill
you
with
terror?
For
some
of
us,
shopping
is
an
enjoyable
way
of
spending
our
spare
time
and
our
money.
For
me,
it’s
something
I
would
rather
avoid.
Thank
goodness
for
the
Internet!
It’s
more
convenient
to
buy
CDs,
electrical
items,
even
food
from
the
comfort
of
your
sofa.
But
that’s
not
the
only
reason:
price
is
an
important
factor.
We
can
buy
goods
and
services
cheaper
online.
But
sometimes
the
problem
is
knowing
what
to
buy.
This
has
led
to
a
type
of
shopping
called
“showrooming”.
Showrooming
is
something
I’ve
done.
I
will
go
to
a
shop
to
see,
touch
and
try
out
products
but
then
go
home
and
buy
them
online
at
a
knock-down
price.
I’m
not
alone
in
doing
this.
Research
by
a
company
called
Foolproof,
found
24%
of
people
showroomed
while
Christmas
shopping
in
2013.
Amy
Cashman,
head
of
Technology
at
TNS
UK,
says
the
reasons
for
this
new
shopping
habit
are
that
“people
are
lacking
time,
lacking
money
and
they
want
security
about
the
products
they
are
buying”.
She
explains
that
consumers
are
not
only
shopping
online
at
home
but
they
are
using
the
Internet
in
store
or
on
their
smartphones
to
shop
around.
But
does
this
mean
technology
will
kill
shops?
Certainly
shops
will
change.
They
will
have
to
offer
more
competitive
prices
or
encourage
people
to
buy
more
by
giving
in-store
discounts
or
free
gifts.
We
mustn’t
forget
that
buying
in
a
shop
means
you
can
get
expert
advice
from
the
sales
assistant
and
you
can
get
good
aftercare.
It’s
good
to
speak
to
a
real
human
rather
than
look
at
a
faceless
computer
screen,
but
at
least
by
showrooming,
you
get
the
best
of
both
worlds!

The

money.

The
name
sounds
funny
but
the
idea
is
no
joke:
it’s
a
personal
toilet
called
the
pee-pool,
Anders
Wilhelmson,
a
Swedish
architect,
is
the
inventor
of
the
pee-pool.
He
became
interested
in
the
idea
of
sanitation
after
taking
part
in
a
research
project
on
the
social
and
political
development
of
cities.
One
of
the
most
common
problems
he
found
in
developing
countries
was
the
lack
of
toilets.
He
wanted
to
do
something
to
help,
so
working
with
others,
he
started
the
project
in
2005,
and
the
next
year
started
a
company
called
Peepoolple.
The
toilet
is
a
single-use
bag
made
of
environmentally
friendly
plastics.
The
inside
is
treated
with
urea(尿素),
a
chemical
commonly
used
as
fertilizer.
The
hotter
the
weather,
the
more
quickly
the
waste
turns
into
what
is
needed
by
plants.
The
sanitation
process
can
be
as
soon
as
a
couple
of
hours
or
as
long
as
two
to
four
weeks,
you
can
just
bury
it
in
a
pot
and
grow
whatever
you
like.
The
company
expects
to
start
selling
the
bags
in
August
in
Kenya
and
Bangladesh,
but
it
is
just
beginning
production
and
sales
in
Nairobi
now.
Full
production
could
reach
about
half
a
million
bags
a
day
and
people
may
be
able
to
buy
the
pee-pool
in
countries
Vietnam,
Bangladesh,
etc.
The
United
Nations
says
more
than
two
and
a
half
billion
people
around
the
world
do
not
have
good
sanitation.
Many
have
no
choice
but
to
use
the
outdoors,
which
is
not
only
bad
for
the
environment,
but
also
harmful
to
people’s
health.
Each
year,
poor
sanitation
leads
to
three
fifths
of
those
people
getting
an
infectious
disease
which
on
average
causes
one
out
of
1,000
patients
to
die.
Jack
Smith,
the
founder
of
the
World
Toilet
Organization,
says
“This
is
quite
an
unacceptable
situation
given
the
fact
that
we
are
living
in
the
modern
world,
and
strangely,
many
of
them
own
televisions,
phones
but
have
no
toilet.”
8.
What
was
the
original
purpose
of
Anders
Wilhelmson
in
starting
the
company?
A.
To
protect
the
local
environment.
B.
To
earn
a
lot
of
money
from
the
project.

To
do
research
on
the
social
development.
D.
To
help
solve
the
problem
of
lack
of
toilets
in
developing
countries.
9.
What
can
be
learned
about
the
pee-pool
from
the
passage?
A.
It
can
be
used
over
again.
B.
Its
sanitation
process
doesn’t
last
long.
C.
It
works
better
in
summer
than
in
winter.
D.
It
should
be
buried
in
a
pot
after
being
used.
10.
In
which
place
can
people
buy
the
Pee-pool
now?
A.
Nairobi.
B.
Kenya.
C.
Sweden.
D.

11.
The
fifth
paragraph
is
written
mainly
to
tell
us
that
________.
A.
poor
sanitation
may
cause
many
problems
B.
many
people
don’t
care
for
the
environment
C.
many
people
get
ill
from
using
the
outdoors
D.
quite
a
number
of
people
die
from
poor
sanitation
12.
The
underlined
word
“This”
in
the
last
paragraph
probably
refers
to
________.
A.
the
outdoors
being
damaged
B.
many
places
being
short
of
toilets
C.
many
people
having
TVs
and
phones
D.

disease
D
Misery
and
setbacks
are
not
always
as
terrible
as
one
imagines.
Hard
times
can
offer
new
ways
of
looking
at
life
that
would
otherwise
never
be
known.
And,
if
you
are
a
writer,
this
can
be
the
source
of
much
of
your
success.
Popular
British
author,
Charles
Dickens’(1812-1870)
family
could
hardly
make
ends
meet
(入不敷出).
They
could
only
afford
to
send
one
of
their
six
children
to
school.
Dickens
was
not
that
child.
His
parents
chose
to
send
a
daughter,
who
had
a
talent
for
music,
to
an
academy.
Then
at
the
age
of
12,
Dickens’
life
took
another
turn
for
the
worse.
His
father,
a
clerk,
was
placed
in
prison
for
unpaid
debts.
And,
being
the
oldest
male
left
at
home,
Dickens
took
up
work
at
a
factory.
His
horrible
experience
there
became
the
fuel
for
his
future
writing.
His
father
was
freed
three
months
later
and
inherited(继承)
a
small
amount
of
money.
Dickens
was
then
sent
to
school.
From
1836
to
1837,
he
wrote
a
monthly
series
of
stories.
Thus
the
“Pickwick
Papers”(《匹克威克外传》),
came
into
being,
which
brought
fame
to
the
23-year-old
man.
Throughout
his
career,
Dickens
covers
various
situations
in
his
novels.
He
wrote
about
the
miserable
lives
of
the
poor
in
“Oliver
Twist”(《雾都孤儿》),
the
French
Revolution
in
“Tale
of
Two
Cities”,
and
social
reform
in
“Hard
Times”
(《艰难时世》).
He
also
wrote
“David
Copperfield”
(《大卫·科波菲尔》),
a
book
thought
to
be
based
on
his
own
life.
“I
do
not
write
bitterly
or
angrily:
for
I
know
all
these
things
have
worked
together
to
make
me
what
I
am,”
he
once
said.
His
difficult
childhood
did
indeed
shape
the
person
he
became,
as
well
as
his
writing
career.
There
are
shades
of
young
Dickens
in
many
of
his
most
beloved
characters,
including
David
Copperfield
and
Oliver
Twist.
Like
the
author,
all
these
characters
come
from
poor
beginnings
and
are
able
to
rise
above
their
setbacks
and
achieve
success.
“Minds,
like
bodies,
will
often
fall
into
an
ill-conditioned
state
from
too
much
comfort,”
he
once
wrote.
On
June
9th,
1870,
aged
58,
Dickens
died,
leaving
one
unfinished
work.
The
words
on
his
tombstone
read:
“He
was
a
sympathizer(同情者)
to
the
poor,
the
suffering
and
the
oppressed
(受压迫者),
and
by
his
death,
one
of
England’s
greatest
writers
is
lost
to
the
world.”

The
traditional
American
school

begins
in
late
August
or
early

ends
in
May
or

young
people
had
to
help
their
families
harvest
summer
crops.
At

this
is
what
people
today
may
think.____18____A
recent

from
an

center
at

explored
the
historical
roots
of
the
traditional
school
calendar.In
the
early
days
of
the
United
States,
children
were
not
required
to
attend
school
.School
calendars
depended
on
local
needs._____19_____They
worked
on
family
farms
during
the
other
months.
City
schools
were
often
open
much
longer,
some
for
eleven
months
of
the
year.After
the
Civil
War,
more
and
more
people
saw
the
need
for
a
system
of
required
education._______20_______Many
city
schools
wanted
a
shorter
year
and
a
longer
summer
break.
The
schools
were
often
crowded.
There
was
no
modern
air
conditioning.
Hot
days
would
make
it
difficult
to
learn.
Many
rural
educators,
however,
pushed
for
a
longer
school
year.
They
thought
it
would
keep
children
safe
from
industrial
dangers
when
there
were
few
child-labor
laws.So
the
traditional
school
calendar
was
a
compromise
(折中).
The
average
school
year
used
to
be
one
hundred
and
seventy
days.
Times
have
not

much._____21_____But
some
experts
think
the
traditional
school
calendar
needs
to
change
because
the
needs
of
the
nation
have
changed.
This
thinking
has
led
some
schools
to
keep
students
in
class
longer.
A.
Why
such
a
long
break?
B.
Today
the
common
average
is
one
hundred
and
eighty
days.
C.
Americans

highly
of
their
traditional
school
calendar.
D.
Most
schools
had
similar
school
calendars.
E.
But
the

to
it.
F.
Students
in
rural
areas
went
to

for
no
more
than
six
months
of
the

G.
But
they
had
different
ideas
for
the

Then,
One

it

____39____
me
so

I
have

for

I
hope
that
someday
somebody
will
____41____
me,
and
drop
in
on
me
again.
Maybe
then
I’ll
get
a

and
an

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使其构成一篇完整的短文。
“I
hate
them!
I
really
hate
them!"
shouted
Tom
angrily.
Tara
and
Mike
looked
at
their
friend.They
couldn't
believe
it.He
was
really
furious!
“Andy
is
OK
now,"
said
Tara,
trying
to
calm
Tom
down.
The
three
friends
were
in
the
park
after
school.They
were
talking
about
their
friend
Andy.Andy
was
the
youngest
in
the
class
and
today
two
bullies
(欺凌者)
pushed
him
against
a
locker
and
hurt
him.Andy
fell
and
cut
his
head.Now
he
has
five
stitches
(缝针)
in
his
forehead.
Their
school
was
a
nice,
peaceful
place
until
Brian
and
Mark
arrived
a
few
months
ago.Brian
and
Mark
were
bullies
and
their
favorite
trouble
spot
was
the
locker
room.That
morning
their
victim
was
Andy,
maybe
because
he
was
smaller
and
younger
than
everyone
else
in
the
class.
The
teachers
knew
that
there
were
some
bullying
incidents
at
school.But
most
kids
didn't
want
to
report
the
incidents.So
bullying
at
their
school
wasn't
an“official"
problem.
During
the
incident
Andy
cut
his
head.As
soon
as
the
bullies
saw
the
blood,
they
disappeared.Andy
called
for
help
and
a
teacher
came
and
took
him
straight
to
the
hospital.But
Andy
didn't
tell
the
teacher
about
the
bullies.When
the
head
teacher
asked
him,
he
simply
said,“I
fell
and
cut
my
head"
“Brian
and
Mark
must
pay!"
repeated
Tom.He
was
walking
around
in
circles
and
hitting
the
palm
of
his
left
hand
with
his
right
fist.“Can't
you
see?
You
are
behaving
like
the
bullies,"
Tara
said
sadly.Mike
looked
at
Tom,
too,
and
he
knew
Tom
very
well,
Tom
hated
violence.“bullying
is
not
cool,”said
Mike,
waving
his
arms
like
he
was
dancing.“We
have
to
tell
someone
about
this,"
said
Tara.“Andy
was
hurt."
But
right
now,
Tom
had
other
things
on
his
mind.He
not
only
hated
the
bullies
but
also
hated
violence.He
was
in
a
dilemma一he
wanted
to
fight
Brian
and
Mark
but
he
didn't
want
to
fight
with
the
bullies
by
violence.
