名词
名词语境辨析
名词语境辨析是单项填空和完形填空的必考点，且以同类名词词义辨析为主。此外还会涉及不同类名词语境辨析和专有名词辨析。
对于语境辨析类试题，首先掌握各个选项的意思，再根据语境的逻辑关系来确定正确答案。
名词语境和单复数混合辨析主要在单项填空和完形填空题型中考查。
名词语境和单复数混合辨析
(1)初中学过的名词复数形式不规则变化的有：
a. child → children, tooth → teeth, mouse → mice,?
foot → feet
b.?单复数同形：fish, sheep, Chinese, Japanese
c. man和woman及由它们构成的合成词：
man → men, woman → women,
Englishman → Englishmen,
Frenchman → Frenchmen, policeman → policemen,
policewoman → policewomen
1.?可数名词复数形式的变化
温馨提示：
以下名词复数形式虽然是规则变化的，但需要特别记忆：
German(s), bamboo(s), radio(s), piano(s), potato(es), tomato(es), hero(es), zero(s / es)
(2)?集体名词
a.?以单数形式出现，但实为复数。如：people, police。
b.?既可作单数也可作复数。如：class,?family,?public, government。
(3)?名词修饰名词时，若前面的名词是man?和woman，变复数时，两个名词同时变为复数形式。
如a woman scientist → two women scientists；
如果是其他名词，变复数时，只需把后面的名词变为复数形式，如a boy student → five boy students。
(4)?由“数词带连字符+名词+形容词”作定语时，该名词用单数形式，如a ten-week-old baby。
2.?不可数名词
没有单、复数形式的变化。
但若要表示不可数名词的量，通常可用相应的单位词，复数形式常体现在单位词上。
a.?表示个数的单位词，如piece，构成a piece of meat / paper / cake / bread / music / advice / news
b.?以形状表示个数的单位词，如drop,?构成a drop of water / oil
c.?表示容积的单位词，如bottle, bowl, glass, cup,?构成a bottle of milk, a bowl of rice, a glass of beer, a cup of tea

这类名词需在句中根据语法及句意判断是可数还是不可数。

fish作鱼的种类讲时为可数名词，复数为fishes；作鱼肉讲时，为不可数名词；作鱼的条数讲时，单复数同形，均为fish。

a.?对可数名词的量提问时用how many。
b.?对不可数名词的量提问时用how much。
名词语境和单复数混合辨析有一定的难度，所以可参考以下步骤来解题：
1. 首先需要判定空处是可数名词复数、可数名词单数还是不可数名词。
2. 然后根据上下文语境确定空处所要表达的意思，选出正确的答案。
可数名词复数
1) 空前有表示复数概念的限定词修饰，如many， some， these， those， a few， few， a number of， several、
数词(除one外)
2) 系动词为are或were时
3) 谓语动词是原形时
4) 根据生活常识，一些名词常以复数形式出现。如：trousers裤子，glasses眼镜，clothes衣服，scissors剪刀，chopsticks筷子等。
5) 在一些特定的句型结构中。如“one of＋the＋形容词最高级＋可数名词复数”表示“最……之一”。
可数名词单数
1) 空前有不定冠词a/an修饰，或者有定冠词the修饰时，如：a handsome boy
2) 系动词为is或was时
3) 谓语动词是第三人称单数形式时
不可数名词
1) 在little， a little， much， a bit of等一些只能修饰不可数名词的修饰语后
2) 在a piece of...， two cups of...等一些表示量化的短语后，如：two cups of tea（tea）
3) 谓语动词是第三人称单数形式时，如：The water tastes sweet.
4) 系动词为is或was时

1. 修饰无生命事物的名词一般用of所有格。
e.g. a leg of the table（桌子的一条腿）
2. of所有格有时也可以用于人或有生命的东西，表示所属关系，特别是当这些所有者有较长的定语时。
e.g. the name of the brave young man
3. 表示某物的一部分或抽象概念。
e.g. the top of the house（房屋的顶部）
有的名词所有格可以用两种方法表示。
e.g. the story of Linda＝Linda's story
双重所有格
双重所有格主要表示整体中的一部分，有两种形式：
1. of ＋名词所有格。
a photo of my brother's （我弟弟/哥哥的一张照片）
2. of ＋ 名词性物主代词。
a new friend of mine （我的一个新朋友）
双重所有格和一般所有格意义不同。
a photo of Mary's (照片属于玛丽，但照片上的人不一定是玛丽)
a photo of Mary (照片上的人是玛丽本人)
