Healthy

It
is
a
well-known
scientific
fact
that
teenagers
eat
50
percent
more
than
the
average
person.
Well,
actually
three
meals
a
day
just
isn’t
enough
(21)
______
(satisfy)
their
endless
hunger.
Recently

open
till
11

and

at
affordable
prices.
Fu
Qinjun,
the
director
of
the
university’s
food

(23)
_______
(quote)
as
saying,
“Students
are
usually
hungry
after

late
into
the

but
our
canteens

That’s
(24)
_______
students
turned
to
outside
vendors
(小贩)
but
the
quality

of
the

is
not
good

This
is
good
news
for
the
students
(25)_______
now
have
healthy
late-night
choices
for
their
diet
instead
of
relying
on
fast

and
the
snacks

Those
foods
tend
to
contain
a
lot
of
salt,

in
our
brains
but
are
basically
unhealthy
when
(26)
______
(eat)
in
excess
and
can
make
us
fat.
If
you’re
a
boarding
student,
you
probably
know
about
fat
because
you
have
likely
put
on
a
little
weight
since
you
started
school.
In
North
America,
this
phenomenon
is
called
the
“Freshman
Fifteen.”
(27)
______
refers
to
the
fact
that

they
tend
to
eat
more
than
they
should.
For
young
people,
though,
having
a
healthy
appetite
is
a
good
thing.
Your
body
keeps
growing
until
about
the
age
of
twenty-one,
so
you
need
to
eat.
However,
it’s
important
to
learn
how
to
eat
well.
So,

For
the
study,
two
scientists
from
the
Massachusetts

of
Technology
used
____31_____
tracker
data
to
study
the
running
habits
of
around
1.1
million
people,
who
have
around
3.4
million
social

Over
five

the
____32____
ran
a
collective
350
million
kilometers,
and
their
runs
were
posted
online
for
their

The
researchers
found
an
additional

an

An

____33____
a
person

And
if
those

the
authors

The
findings
suggested
that
a

run
more,
but
not
all
users
exerted
____35____
influence

than
by
more
active

"Social
comparisons

the
study's
authors
wrote.
This
theory,
they
added,
"____36____
that
we
self-evaluate
by
comparing
ourselves
to
others."
But
do
we
make
comparisons
to
peers

better
than

or
to
those
performing
worse?
That's
been
a
subject
of
____37____,
the

may
____38_____
our
own
self-improvement,
while
comparisons
to
those
behind

The
findings

A
famous
foreign
company
in
China
wanted
to
employ
a
secretary
for
its
public
relation
department.
A
beautiful
girl
with
a
master
degree
became
a
winning
candidate(候选人)
through
the
competition.
At
its
last
stage
she
faced
an
oral(口述的)
test
together
with
another
girl
who
was
her
equal
not
only
in
good
looks
but
also
in
education

The
girl
we
talk
about
was
confident
in
herself
and
successful
in
the
oral
test.
It
seemed
that
she
would
get
the
chance.
The
examiner
told
her
on
behalf
of
the
company
that
she
could
come
to
office
of
the
company
next
Monday
as
a
new
employee.
At
last
he
asked
her,
“Have
you
anything
else
to
say?”
Shocked
by
the
unexpected
question,
the
beautiful
girl
was
quite
at
a
loss,
saying
with
hesitation,
“I
have
to
talk
with
my
parents
before
I
give
an
answer.”
Surprised,
the
examiner
said
calmly,
“In
that
case,
let’s
wait
till
you
are
ready.”
The
next
day
the
girl
came
to
tell
that
her
parents
agreed
to
her
beginning
work
next
Monday.
But
the
examiner
said
regretfully,
“Sorry,
the

is
filled
by
another
suitable
candidate.
You
had
better
have
a
try
in
another
place.”
The

was

She
asked
for
an
explanation
and
was
told,
“What

Living
in
an
urban
area
with
green
spaces
has
a
long-lasting
positive
impact
on
people’s
mental
well-being,
a
study
has
suggested.
UK
researchers
found
moving
to
a
green
space
had
a
sustained
positive
effect,
unlike
pay
rises
or
promotions,
which
only
provided
a
short-term
boost.
Co-author
Mathew
White,
from
the
University
of
Exeter,
UK,
explained
that
the
study
showed
people
living
in
greener
urban
areas
were
displaying
fewer
signs
of
depression
or
anxiety.
“There
could
be
a
number
of
reason,”
he
said,
“for
example,
people
do
many
things
to
make
themselves
happier:
they
strive
of
promotion
or
pay
rises,
or
they
get
married.
But
the
trouble
with
those
thins
is
that
with
those
things
is
that
within
six
months
to
a
year,
people
are
back
to
their
original
baseline
levels
of
well-being.
So,
these
things
are
not
sustainable;
they
don’t
make
us
happy
in
the
long
term.
We
found
that
for
some
lottery
winners
who
had
won
more
than
£500,000
the
positive
effect
was
definitely
there,
but
after
six
months
to
a
year,
they
were
back
to
the
baseline.”
Dr.
White
said
his
team
wanted
to
see
whether
living
in
greener
urban
areas
had
a
lasting
positive
effect
on
people’s
sense
of
well-being
or
whether
the
effect
also
disappeared
after
a
period
of
time.
To
do
this,
the
team
used
data
from
the
British
Household
Panel
Survey
compiled
by
the
University
of
Essex.
Explaining
what
the
data
revealed,
he
said:
“What
you
see
is
that
even
after
three
years,
mental
health
is
still
better,
which
is
unlike
many
other
things
that
we
think
will
make
us
happy.”
He
observed
that
people
living
in
green
spaces
were
less
stressed,
and
less
stressed
people
made
more
sensible
decisions
and
communicated
better.
With
a
growing
body
of
evidence
establishing
a
link
between
urban
green
spaces
and
a
positive
impact
on
human
well-being,
Dr.
White
said,
“There’s
growing
interest
among
public
policy
officials,
but
the
trouble
is
who
funds
it.
What
we
really
need
at
a
policy
level
is
to
decide
where
the
money
will
come
from
to
help
support
good
quality
local
green
spaces.”
According
to
one
study,
what
do
green
spaces
do
to
people?
Improve
their
work
efficiency.
Add
to
their
sustained
happiness.
Help
them
build
a
positive
attitude

their
concerns
about
material
well-being.
What
does
Dr.
White
try
to
find
out
about
living
in
a
greener
urban
area?
How
it
affects
different
people.
How
strong
its
positive
effect
is.
How
long
its
positive
effect
lasts.
How
it
benefits
people
physically.
What
did
Dr.
White’s
research
reveal
about
people
living
in
a
green
environment?
Their
stress
was
more
apparent
than
real.
Their
decisions
required
less
deliberation.
Their
memories
were
greatly
strengthened.
Their
communication
with
others
improved.
According
to
Dr.
White,
what
should
the
government
do
to
build
more
green
spaces
in
cities?
Find
financial
support.
Improve
urban
planning.
Involve
local
residents
in
the
effort.
Raise
public
awareness
of
the
issue.

A.
Do

you

How
to
Do
Well
in
Exams
Do
not
underestimate
the
power
of
revision
in
the
days
and
hours
before
an
examination.
The
closer
you
are
to
the
exam,
the
more
chance
you
have
of
storing
and
retaining
crucial
information.
But
do
not
overdo
it.
_______67_______
An
effective
daily
routine
can
help
you
through
an
exam
period,
so
in
the
days
leading
up
to
your
first
exam,
get
into
the
habit
of
being
up
and
ready
to
work
by
game.
It
can
be
a
shock
to
the
system
after
months
of
working
to
your
own
timetable
to
be
mentally
alert
at
that
time
if
you
have
not
prepared
for
it.
On
the
day
of
the
exam,
have
a
good
breakfast,
pack
two
of
everything
you
need
(pens,
pencils,
erasers,
etc.),
then
make
your
way
to
the
examination
hall
in
good
time.
______68_______
Once
in
your
seat,
simply
pause
for
a
few
seconds
and
collect
your
thoughts.
Close
your
eyes
and
take
in
a
few
slow,
deep
breaths
to
help
you
relax.
When
you
turn
over
the
test
paper,
spend
a
short
period
reading
through
all
the
instructions
and
questions,
paying
particular
attention
to
key
verbs
such
as
"discuss",
"compare"
and
"evaluate".
______69_______
It
is
wise
always
to
allow
for
10
minutes
at
the
end
of
the
exam
to
give
yourself
time
to
go
back
over
your
answers.
Once
you
have
selected
the
questions
you
wish
to
tackle,
begin
by
attempting
the
one
you
think
is
your
strongest.
It
will
give
you
more
confidence
when
you
see
a
well-answered
question
down
on
paper.
Also
remember
to
write
clearly,
and
do
not
be
afraid
to
express
the
unexpected:
after
all,
examiners
can
get
very
bored
marking
stereotypical
answers.
_______70_______
If
you
do
need
something
else
to
focus
on
to
help
collect
your
thoughts,
choose
a
fixture
in
the
room,
such
as
the
ceiling
-
or
anything
else
that
will
not
allow
you
to
be
distracted.
Finally,
once
you
have
finished,
never
hang
around
outside
afterwards
to
attend
the
discussion
by
other
students.
Go
and
have
a
well-earned
rest-
then
prepare
for
your
next
exam

The
benefits
of
having
a
higher
education
are
manifold(多样的)and
range
from
financial
to
cultural
and
from
common
benefits
to
some
unexpected
surprises,
below
you
will
find
a
number
of
reasons
which
will
help
to
serve
as
justification
for
a
higher
education.
For
many
high
school
students,
it
is
hard
to
imagine
what
the
long
term
benefits
of
a
college
education
might
be.
College
is
demanding;
the
work
seems
challenging,
and
meeting
all
new
people
seems
overwhelming.
However,
what
most
young
people
do
not
realize
is
that
there
is
a
high
likelihood
at
college
that
you
will
find
new
friends
with
similar
interests
and
values,
You
may
find
yourself
developing
new
interests
by
getting
along
with
those
who
have
completely
different
life
experiences.
As
opportunity
to
get
to
know
your
professors
can
also
be
counted
one
of
the
benefits
of
having
a
college
education.
These
intellectuals
can
be
counted
on
to
welcome
questions
and
discussion
from
students.
Therefore,
one
of
the
key
benefits
of
a
college
education
is
the
social
bonds
created
and
developed
during
this
unique
time
in
a
person's
life.
Besides,
the
fact
that
you'll
be
building
a
career
for
the
rest
of
your
life
is
reason
enough
to
make
time
for
a
college
education.
Indeed,
a
clear
benefit
of
a
college
education
is
that
not
only
will
it
give
you
time
to
better
know
your
likes
and
dislikes
before
entering
the
labor
force,
it
will
also
enhance
the
likelihood
of
a
more
successful
career
for
you.
Many
young
people
are
uncertain
about
a
career
path
at
the
start
of
college.
This
is
a
time
of
exploration,
and
taking
the
time
to
explore
a
variety
of
college
majors
is
time
well
spent.
One
more
justification
for
higher
education
could
be
that
its
best
way
to
enhance
yourself
in
an
all﹣round
way.
Getting
a
good
education
may
be
the
most
important
price
you
can
pay
for
your
personal
advancement,
because
perhaps
more
than
anything
else,
what
you
do
with
that
huge
gray
material
between
your
ears
will
determine
your
future.
You
never
know
where
your
talent
could
reach.
So
higher
education
can
provide
you
can
with
the
chance
to
realize
your
personal
value.
Therefore
never
undervalue
the
benefits
of
entering
a
higher
education,
which
surely
will
bring
you
something
beyond
expectation.

Guided
Writing
Dear
Present,
I’m
writing
to
express
some
of
my
opinions
towards
our
school’s
broadcast
which
intends
to
change
one
of
the
programs
from
science
technology,
interest
hobby
and
literature
art
and
select
one
of
them
from
travelling,
environmental
protection,
fitness.
From
my
perspective,
I
would
choose
“interest
hobby”
to
be
the
one
to
be
eliminated.
Not
only
is
this
topic
out
of
date,
but
also
students’
interest
varies
a
lot.
Therefore,
they
may
be
indifferent
about
others’
interest
and
hobbies.
As
for
the
column
to
be
added,
I
highly
recommend
is
fitness.
As
senior
high
students,
so
busy
are
we
with
our
study
that
we
often
forget
to
do
some
physical
exercise
and
even
don’t
know
how
to
keep
fit
to
avoid
getting
ill.
If
the
school
broadcast
can
provide
us
some
useful
advice
on
how
to
keep
fit
in
a
good
way,
which
will
benefit
us
a
lot
and
as
a
result
I
believe
that
it
will
be
more
popular
among
students.
I’d
appreciate
it
very
much
if
you
could
follow
my
advice,
and
I’m
looking
forward
to
hear
from
you
as
soon
as
possible.
Best
wishes!
