课标分析：本课为语篇教学，其中穿插对话教学。语篇教学是指在具体语境中教学单词和句型，主张从主体入手，展现给学生完整的语言篇幅。
教材分析：整个第二单元是围绕主人公去北京旅游这一主题展开的，第十课就是其中一站：长城游玩的片段。在游玩过程中很自然地介绍了长城的悠久历史，展现了它的伟大，同时由于Danny饥饿从而发现了一家餐馆引发了一段令人紧张的小插曲，使得整个篇章诙谐有趣，又振奋人心。本课出现了几个不容易记忆的单词tired,wait,stop,afraid，需要学生在篇章整体中去把握它们的含义。
学情分析：五年级的学生已经拥有了一定的词汇量，有一定的语言表达能力，在学习第9课的基础上，学生能顺利地表达How
old?
和How
long？句型，并能较流利地朗读课文，能听懂教师的基本口语，理解教师的用意，从而表达他们的想法。但对几个单词的发音及理解会有一定的难度，如wait,afraid,tired。
教学目标：1、学生能听懂、会说、认读、书写stop,wait,feel,tired,afraid.
2、能认读、理解、应用句型：How

教学重难点：重点：1、能够用所学知识简单地介绍长城。

难点：介绍北京的其它名胜古迹。
