（1）neither 做副词时，意为也不，其中“neither + 系动词（助动词或情态动词）+ 主语”表示前面所述内容也适用于另一个人或物。此时也可以用 nor 来替换 neither。

(2) neither 做代词时，为both 的反义词，意为both 的反义词。
意为（两者）都不，neither 做主语时，谓语动词用第三人称单数形式。
