1.11-year-old boy中11-year-old是一个复合形容词，作定语，修饰名词boy，意
为“11岁的”。由“数词-名词-（形容词）”构成的复合形容词中，名词只能用单数。
e.g. a two-month holiday两个星期的假期。
2. But he is not afraid.中afraid是形容词，通常做表语。
be afraid of sth/doing sth.意为“害怕某事/做某事。
be afraid to do sth 害怕做某事。
She is afraid of dogs.

3.He's like a father to me.中like 是介词，意为”像“。
look like ,be like 两者都意为”看起来像“，前者指外观或外貌长得像；后者指人的性格、人品像。
