Generosity means sharing and sharing makes a friendship grow. You don't have to give your lunch money or your clothes, of course. Instead you share your ideas and feelings. These can be valuable to a friend. Then tell your friend what is important to you. By sharing them, you help your friends know you better.

Turning to a friend can be a first step in solving the problem. So to be a friend you must listen and understand. You must try to put yourself in your friends' place, so you can understand the problem better.

Once upon a time some pigeons and their king Chitragriva lived in a big tree in a forest. One day a hunter came that way. He saw the birds and thought “I will spread some grains and then place a net to catch the birds”. The pigeons found the grains and they all flew down to eat them. Soon they were caught in the hunter's net. Then they realized that it was a trick to catch them.
The hunter was happy to see so many birds in his net. Chitragriva told the birds not to worry. “Listen to me, act together and we can escape from the hunter.” he said. “Now get ready...one... two... three... and fly together.”
They flew with the net to the other side of the hill.
On the other side of the hill Chitragriva had a friend. He was a mouse called Hiranyaka. He bit through the net and set all the birds free!
