Qiaozhi
was
a
famous
Chinese
physician.She
was
born
in
Gulangyu,Xiamen
on
December
23,1901.At
age
18,she
chose

study
medicine
instead
of
following

first
woman
ever
to
be
hired
as
a
resident
physician
in
the
OB-GYN
department
of
the
PUMC
Hospital.In
1939,Lin
Qiaozhi
went
abroad

further

and

to
serve
the
women
and
children
at
home.After
the
foundation
of
the
new
People?s
Republic
of
China,she
held
many
important

was
more
interested
in
