本单元的写作目标是“议论文”。书信是我们日常生活中常用的一种应用文体，常见的有进行商业磋商的商业信件和询问个人日常情况的个人信件。本单元的写作任务是写一封议论信，谈论有关出国留学的个人观点。可以分为以下四个部分来进行写作：
第一部分：提出需要讨论的话题；
第二部分：表明作者观点；
第三部分：举例证明观点；
第四部分：得出最终结论。
